Well I all ways though he was a phoney by him licking his lips over an over an over again but now I no he is a phoney because he did not lick his lips one time in the whole video so it is not a habit he was just faking trying to impress somebody.by showing his teeth an licking his lips over an over an over again I have waited 30 years to catch you in this lie an now I got you on tape It is not a habit you are just trying to make us say look how he speaks so soft an yes look how he smiles An yes look how he licks his lips An yes look how pretty his smile is An yes look how pretty his teeth is Well it seems like to me you just want us to rank every thing about you as nice but that is not who you are what you are trying to personify yourself to us is not the real you. I say that because the real you is one ruff. An tuff contender who train yourself to beat the best an you will not bag down for nothing an that is the real isiah Thomas that I love to me that is the real you am that smiling an being nice to me that is not you Because I no you are all about winning But I can say you have very pretty teeth An I wish my teeth look something like yours. Peace to our world An yes please pray hard for the Floyd family an all of us who try to love oneanother
That was a great show I am very impress with IT basketball skills He do not think us fans no how great he was but he is wrong. He is a great great great basketball player an. The only weakness he had. Was the general the other isiah Thomas. He is the one that held the great isiah Thomas back from everyone that loved him. Yes the general almost destroyed everything good that the other isiah Thomas had done So just remember isiah Thomas we love an respect you skills as a great basketball player one of the best of all times But we hate that dam general that took you away from us fans So would you please stop bragging about the general who we the fans hate an start bragging about isiah Thomas the basketball player we love
No one forgot. Only people who don’t like him cause Jordan said don’t like him. Same people probably not liking Pippen now because he has an opinion. Probably not liking Barkley because he gave an opinion. If MJ said he never got swept in the playoffs they’d probably believe it. If MJ said he beat Bird in a playoff series they’d probably believe it. More or less people who most likely can’t think for themselves. Love MJ game, but those people are worse than him conspiring to keep Isiah off the Olympic team (something MJ now says he regrets just as Thomas says he regrets not shaking hands). MJ stans have become some of the worse interjecting in any discussion from Bill Russell to Lebron James while ignoring a lot of facts.
When I was a kid I found an old video of Isiah Thomas teaching the fundamentals of basketball just like this one and practicing those moves every day after school, made me a better baller thank you Isiah
I dont play basketball, or sports in general, but I am an animator. This video is so helpful in getting the minute details of the action down. Keeping the body tight, knees bent, keep the energy that you need to spring in whatever direction is necessary. I never realized just how much athletic advice could be used in animation. Thanks for the video :)
Coming up in Chicago Street and Organized basketball, "Touch" was one of "Our Own" in the Chicago Basketball Family. We are the Class of 79! No Brother handle the Rock better than Westside Zeke! A True Chicago Legend!!
How do you have issues with others in the league when you are the voted in leader of the NBA Player’s Union? That’s cap, stop watching those trash documentaries 😅
This is art. Never forget, the Bad Boys have a winning record against Jordan, Magic, and Bird -- regular season and playoffs. That is a bad man. No... Bad Boy.
@@ryanflynn6819 Pistons in the 80s and early 90s had sometimes 3 allstars on their team at a time. Including a prime Rodman who won back to back DPOY, and Dumars who was a perennial first team all defense. Compared to like, Jordan for example who only had 1 single allstar teammate his entire career.
@Wilt Chamberlain GOD of NBA its all fun and games until that 1 troll who cant type proper english shows up 😂😂😂 reading what u wrote sounds like sum1s lagging in game chat. Get ur trolling ass tf outta here
Damn right oi course, still almost periodically watching it, always nice when the video comes up again. What a show, and not just for the dribble and sound, but for the variety and progress of the moves. Sheesh Zeke.
When you talk about perfect handles this is the man is the foundation right here. He dribbled the way a jazz pianist plays a solo!! Pure art and beauty!!
@@nofurtherwest3474 I wanna say it had to be during college because he said somewhere that he saw the globetrotters play and he started dribbling with a rhythm (Sweet Georgia Brown) and that helped him get better
@@ILOV3BUTT3R Truth 💯 but it was most likely before college because Marques Haynes was still with the Globetrotters when they came to the Boys Club in Chicago, and his brother Larry was very instrumental in teaching Zeke how to make music with the basketball as well
You can tell a legend from simple stuff like this. A simple dribble will tell you that When I was on freshmen basketball team, my coach never taught me to look straight, I don't even think varsity coach did that. Just simple things like that, that they should have taught. Legends know that well, difference between being pro, and not being one.
Raw dog...I will never forget when you played the Hawks dribbled behind the back cross over threw the ball almost to top of the arena on a fade away and it dropped down swish...right into the basket this was after a Wilkins dunk....that was the greatest play I've ever seen not talked about by many..but I saw it.....it was incredible 👍
1. One necessary rule to know is to never use two hands or both hands when trying to dribble as it is known as a double dribble. 2. Have a solid and balanced stance with your knees bent and to not stand straight up as it risks your opponent to force you backwards. 3. Keep your eyes up to see the entire court but also slightly seeing the ball. If your eyes are straight ahead you will still be able to see beneath you and looking down will only limit vision of the court. 4. Bounce the basketball repeatedly with one hand on one side and to actively observe what is happening around you. Remain in a triple-threat position where you can take off and move with the basketball. 5. Make sure to have your hand above the basketball and bounce the ball by using your finger tips. Having your hands beneath the ball will result in a carry that is not allowed. Try to switch hands and use dribbling drills to improve dribbling effectiveness overall.
I actually think Kyrie Irving is the best ball handler of all time, he's insane. PS: I'm 19 so if there's anybody better from the past just say the name and I will look for it haahhahaa
Paulo Cesar Alves lol guys like kyrie directly got the blueprint from Zeke. Rod Strickland is kyries mentor. Guarantee he would mention Zeke as the guy his game was modeled after. Or tiny archibald lol
Paulo Cesar Alves The rules are way different. A lot of the moves today would be considered a carry back then because of the rules. So it is impossible to compare
Man dese 2024 cross over is good but Isaiah Thomas dribbling da ball like a pianoist off his finger tips might have me reconsider which era was da best.. damn dat was dope
There’s no other basketball like a SPALDING basketball 😭 that orange reddish tone the crazy grip they have just make you wanna dribble for hours this was neat thanks Mr Thomas 🐐
@@nguyenthanhhai6725 MJ sheep nuthugger, that's when Scottie and the Pistons's old age (remember too that in the old NBA the players's careers were naturally quicker and cut short) came to save the day for him.
Thank you Zeke I can shoot I always wanted to have handles since I was younger I still love the game being older thanks coach Thomas I grew up watching NBA games Pistons, Celtics, Lakers, bulls, rockets, blazers good times in my life watching basketball 🏀 blessings 🙏.
Had the honor to see Zeke put on a basketball clinic at the Magic Johnson Basketball Camp back in the early 80's. The countless dribbling drills he performed were at least 3X faster than this video. To date, I have not seen an NBA point guard exhibit his type of handle without carrying the ball. He was truly amazing. Words truly cannot describe how great his handle was. No disrespect to Chris Paul, Kyrie, or Curry but Zeke was on another level.
@John Hightower Wow! My camp was in Santa Barbara at UC Santa Barbara. Dr Tucker, Magic, and Isiah used to run laps around the track with us. And Magic would beat everyone in ping pong. Good memories.
@@rustymixer2886 yep, Magic had a nasty push-over-cross. But he got away with carrying because he was “Magic.” After AI, in my opinion, cross overs & hezi morphed into what we see now. To “hang” the ball without sliding your entire hand under the ball is a perishable skill and difficult to execute unless you put in the time and reps. To me (I am biased), Isiah had a pure (within the frame) basketball handle to date.
@@user-hb9ig4fx9p I would say CROSSOVER 1.0 WAS MAGIC AND THOMAS, CROSSOVER 2.0 WAS T HARDAWAY, CROSSIVER 3.0 WAS IVERSON AND EVERYTHING ELSE AFTER WAS A TRUE CARRY
He became an nba villain when he started being a villain. It was his choice. He won 2 rings because of that choice. NOW... IF PEOPLE HATED HIM FOR THAT REMEMBER... IT WAS HIS CHOICE. Isiah and the bad boys pistons were hated because they were dirty players. Think about that for a second. 😎
@@wornoutshoes11 Don't hate the players, hate the game. If they can get away with dirty plays, then blame the league. That's why I don't hate Manu or Lebron back then when they were flopping. It's not their fault the rules didn't prohibit flopping.
Wow, good tutorial on the fundamentals of dribbling. I always had a problem (and I still do) with looking down at the basketball while dribbling, passing, etc. I'm working on keeping my head up while dribbling.
Colin Charles 👨🏾🏫Fun Fact: That same Coach told him to purposely do that, so he could take out his frustrations of the ref’s. #enlightenment🙇🏽♂️💡🤔 #themoreyouknow🌈💁🏾♂️
I'm just geeking out because it's Isiah Thomas. So cool. I'm too young to have watched him play but I've seen film he's my all time favorite Point Guard. Best in the position imo fills the role to a T
People tend to forget how outstanding Zeke was during his run in the NBA. I’m still scratching my head thinking how Stockton got on the Dream team ahead of IT.
For all you cocksuckers, Isiah had beef with over HALF the team. Attributing his lack of making the Dream Team soley to Jordan is nothing short of disingenuous. Only reason yall think that is because their beef was out in the open. Bird/Isiah Magic/Isiah Scottie/Isiah Malone/Isiah Barkley/Isiah were legitimate beefs
@@vb2388 He said 'ball handling'. Pistol Pete and Rod Strickland could *dribble*. But Isaiah and Steve Nash can *handle*. Dribble = flair Handle = control
