I remember "stumbling" upon this channel a couple years ago in my quest to make the best Thanksgiving turkey I could...it was Chef JPS 1st turkey video where he shows you how to carve it---which made all the difference in the world! For years we have seen them slicing the breast in commercials and paintings but his way of carving is the best! I have enjoyed his long videos that explain everything from how to hold a knife to how to cut veggies. It's these skills we can pass along to future generations as well as the true enjoyment of cooking! Keep your videos long and keep talking, Chef JP, we love you! I never needed some Chef, telling me in 5 minutes, how to slap a recipe together that looked like a million. I needed a Chef to teach me skills in a kitchen. How to cut and slice, how to salt, how to make a stock from scratch, how to present your food, etc etc etc. I have learned so much about cooking food, watching your channel and I thank you and your staff for bringing all this knowledge to us. I don't think he needs a sponsor. I don't know about you guys but I discovered him maybe 4 months ago and I have already made two orders from his website For olive oil and vinegar and knives and salt. And a few gadgets.
When a sponsor gets involved, they start calling the shots and exert more and more control, including pushing whatever product they're selling. But, JP may not even totally like that product, however he's now contractually beholden to that company or the sponsorship gets pulled.
I subscribed and started watching Chef over a year ago. He quickly became my favorite. Every time I watch him , my wife looks at me funny cuz she knows his voice by now. I've tried many of his recipes and have learned a lot from him. It's a shame his cooking school had to close - I would have loved to have attended and met him and learned in person. I look forward to many more videos so I can keep trying new things. Many thanks and much love from sw Michigan.

This video is absolutely endearing. Jean Pierre reminds me of my grant parents and great grandparents. The butter. I am lucky enough to still have my grandmother with me.. my meme. I showed her Jean Pierre's videos and she said he reminds her of Julia. That's high praise from her. We watch together a lot. His recipes bring back a lot of memories. She is 93 and everything to me. That alone should tell you how much this channel means to me. When I was a kid we would watch Julia. My grandmother taught me everything i know. Thank you for this channel.
❤️ He reminds me so much of my Opa! He did all the cooking when I was a kid (I lived with my grandparents) and I learned most of what I know by watching him. Now my daughter watches Jean Pierre with me and it's truly a special time. It's like a piece of my grandfather is still here and watching these videos is family time :) he's truly a gem. My grandparents were everything to me so what you said really resonated ❤️
