Actors Jay Baruchel and Eric Andre were on Eyewitness News Mornings to talk about their new show 'Man Seeking Woman' but the interview got off track fast after they realized their favorite band was from Bakersfield, CA.
Watching him is really like watching a volcano, you know it can erupt at any second, and that's the beauty of it.. waiting for his trigger. In this interview I believe it was 2 things, 1. The news anchor brought up his buddy's failed engagement and was focusing on personal questions after asking 2 about the movie. And 2, Eric wasn't asked one question this entire interview besides "Is it really that absorbent ?" towards the shamwow guy remark.
uh this is what news do...they need ratings...they will literally do outlandish stuff... some even force bloopers...this is a win for them ....they wanted entertainment
I actually think Eric's craziness is really sweet in this interview..because every time he got crazy, it was to change the subject and distract the interviewer when he was making Jay uncomfortable

That's called punishing the interviewer for his condescending questions directed at Jay Baruchel. "why are you perfect for loser roles", "do you have problems dating in real life". Really douchey questions, and they punished him for it.
theyre not douchey questions lol. he plays loser roles, so he was asked about that, and the show is about dating struggles, so he asked if he had struggles with dating. theyre pretty reasonable questions and really not disrespectful, as they clearly pertain to the subject matter

"Hey, member that time you were engaged to be married and it all went to hell? And also before you answer that, member that hot chick you acted along side in that one movie, aw man was she hot. anyway great questions we had prepared, why you guys go off the rails?!"
The chemistry between these two is amazing. The way Eric kept trying to derail the interview so Jay wouldn't talk about something uncomfortable and Jay just joining in was amazing.
aslsmm 00 Eric works in the entertainment business. His job is to entertain. This guy works for the news. The news is supposed to report facts. Instead of that, he literally insults the actor he’s supposed to be interviewing about a new show. He’s a dick. And he can’t just say “It was a joke” because his show isn’t a comedy show.
aslsmm 00 I never said news people don’t tell jokes. But that’s not the kind of joke you tell as a news caster when interviewing a guest. That’s the kind of joke a comedian tells at a bar, or a friend tells when roasting his friend, or an actor tells on an edgy late night comedy show masquerading as a mere late night talk show. Not to mention, you can tell he wasn’t making a joke. He was just asking questions relevant to the movie but about Jay’s life. He was an ass, plain and simple.
Eric Andre throughout the whole interview when he isn't speaking lowkey looks like he has the funniest shit known to man and he is just waiting to spill the beans
also, it's a dumb question because the answer is clear, he looks like a stereotypical nerdish avg guy, not much to it, asking a question about it yields no new profound knowledge about anything so its dumb as fuck
I really love how Eric deflected that question about Jay's love life. Broken engagements are not really good interview material,and I think he could tell Jay was uncomfortable.
This really makes me wanna be friends with Eric Andre. Not only can he be really funny and also really chill, but if an asshole is trying to damage your self esteem he’ll stick up for you with jokes and jabs!

+Modnar2011 i actually watched an interview where they actually get the person high on weed before they interview them, like they do weed in the interview and eric andre was talking about how weed gives him really bad anxiety and he dosent smoke it because he starts to freak out, and in the interview he trys to hide himself from the camera the whole time. Although he does say he loves psychedelics.

lol at the people who think they were high. It's pretty obvious they weren't high. Eric just started acting up because he knows jay was being put down on the spot. As soon as Jay started mumbling eric went in to lighten the mood and help his friend. I mean the interviewer was basically calling Jay a loser and trying to make him say it himself, but Eric kept butting in to prevent that.

I love Eric. He fucks around a lot, but he's one of the types who can spot bullshit or over the top stuffy behavior and can just make people laugh and loosen up. Such a funny, and real dude

i was afraid all the interview thinking Eric was going to go crazy at some point, they actually did AWESOMEly and the interview was just perfect! laugh my ass off for the most of it
