Having spent 30 years down in Brazil and Chile I speak Portuguese and Spanish. I have listened for years to British commentators tell about Maradona's supposed crack about "The hand of God" incident. I heard it again yesterday by Colin Murray - not a relative of mine although we both hail from Belfast. To put the record straight, what he actually said was La Voluntad de Dios y el Mano de Maradona, which translated is "The will of God and the Hand of Maradona" . I think you will agree it's a much more poetic and relevant crack for a patriotic Argentinian, against the meaning less "Hand of God" nonsense. I think Maradona was and is something of an AH but what a player he was.
OMG Whats happened at Talk Sport .Oh for the days of James Whale,Mike Mendoza,Gaunty, and the legend the late Mike Dickin.Once a great station then the PC BRIGADE took over.TRAGIC :( Would be interesting to know how their listener figures rate compared with then and now.
I heard that Finnish one live at the time... 🙄😂😂😂😂.. Thank God we have Catholic schools ( no pun intended ) in Scotland & other places!!! That guy clearly didn't go to one!!! 😳🙄 🇮🇪✊🏻🇯🇴
Agree with Mathew Law - Talk Sport is pretty poor these days. I mean why is Colin Murray on air? Brazil doesn't seem that interested these days? Even H&J are not quite as funny as they used to be.
