My eight grade teacher used to make the boys who misbehaved write out psalm 119 as the consequence for their actions since it was so long and soul nurturing 😂
Before I begin a prayer that I feel I need to say out loud I usually pray "In Jesus name, I disable the enemy's radar and jam their signals" I also ask the Holy Spirit to encrypt my message to the Father so the enemy cannot decode it. Then I pray the Lord's prayer and start talking to God abt what I don't want rhe enemy to hear.
@@HeartEllis?? What do you mean it was in context to how I felt in the moment. Nothing related to bad intentions, I'd understand if I said a cuss word but what's wrong with it?
At 10:12 I think it's important to point out that our salvation comes solely by grace through our faith ( lest anyone should boast) . Our faith is shown by our works as a result of our salvation but we cannot attain salvation through works . [ I'm open to correction if there's something that I've said thats unbiblical]
Exactly! We're saved by faith in Jesus alone and then our faith is evidenced by our good deeds. This comes as a result of loving God and our gratefulness for what Christ has done.
"You believe that God is one; you do well. Even the demons believe-and shudder! Do you want to be shown, you foolish person, that faith apart from works is useless? Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered up his son Isaac on the altar? You see that faith was active along with his works, and faith was completed by his works; and the Scripture was fulfilled that says, “Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness”-and he was called a friend of God." James 2 19-23ESV Context is always important. Even demons know and proclaim who Lord Yeshua is but they don't fallow Him. That is why here we are not talking about salvation but justification. We are saved by Grace alone, as Paul always says in his letters to church, but we are JUSTIFIED (in another words, it's proof or evidence of our salvation) by our works. This whole concept has roots in Hebrew word (and prayer) "Shema" which translate " to hear and respond accordingly". A great example by James himself :"What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can that faith save him? If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lacking in daily food, and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and filled,” without giving them the things needed for the body, what good is that? So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead." James 2: 14-17 ESV Basically: what good are your words if you have nothing to back them up with. Verses were Paul mentions Salvation trough Grace alone: "For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast." Ephesians 2:8-9 ESV " But if it is by grace, it is no longer on the basis of works; otherwise grace would no longer be grace." Romans 11:6 ESV May God, our Lord bless you. Stay awesome. Think Biblically!
Good, video, I did indeed laugh, however the second to last video concerns me… we are absolutely saved by grace through faith alone, there is nothing man can do to save himself. These verses speak on how faith is barren without deeds, and how works follow naturally through fruitful faith. God bless you ❤
Yes I agree, I think you have it confused though, that video is talking about how faith without spiritual works is nothing. Believing on its own is nothing and people often think praying a prayer asking God to come into your heart is it and all you ever should do. The video is trying to explain that you should live for God and live for Jesus 💗✝️
@@MadelyluvsJesus Uh, yes actually all you need is to believe. The thief on the cross is an example. The thief was being crucified next to Jesus, he didn’t have time to live for God. But when he asked Jesus to remember him Jesus said to to the thief, "Today you will be with me in Paradise" Why would he say that if that’s not all you need to do? Paul and Silas were in prison, someone asked them, "Sirs, what must I do to be saved?" Paul said, "BELIEVE on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shall be saved, and thy house." Nothing more, nothing less. The Bible also says that our "good deeds" are but filthy rags compared to God’s standards. So what can they add to our salvation?
@@PeanutButterJellyBelle Yes but even demons believe in Jesus, what I mean friend is that some people have it confused on excepting Jesus into your heart. I know very many people who have it confused and it can be a bit hard to explain. So what I mean is many people think that what that means is they say a simple prayer, they are saved and then move on with there lives, if you truly accept Jesus into your heart and believe that He died for you, you will be saved! But accepting Jesus into your heart will change you and your life. What I meant but that comment is that many people have the wrong idea and many will fall because of it. It is like having a relationship with someone, they are your bestfriend but it is very one sided, your friend is the only one putting in the effort for that friendship. You want to be friends with that person but you don't want to put in the effort for that relationship to have a healthy friendship. But one day your friend stops. Your friend ended the friendship and moved on like they never knew you. So did you truly know that friend or did you just say you did because you were "friends"? If you are truly saved and believe that Jesus Christ died for your sins and you choose to accept him into your heart, you are saved! But there is a difference between Christians and a Lukewarm Christians ❤
I used to cut myself but I remembered that my body is God's temple and I really have no right to harm it like that. cried for a few hours, prayed, read some Bible cause I couldn't sleep, haven't done it since.😊
10:15 Eph 2:8-9. Those verses are saying that once you are saved by faith alone you will start to change and works will be a result of your salvation, not the other way around,
I understood the one about being scared to pray out loud bc satan can hear it too, but that makes me push through the fear of demons and say it even louder to establish that I am a child of god. The demons won’t bother you after you make it clear that you accept Jesus Christ as your lord and savior
9:11 you pray out loud, the devil cannot touch you! I’ve heard it said like this - when you’re praying, you’re jumping satan and his goons! So pray out loud and pray with confidence knowing your Savior and your Father who knows you and has called you by name knows and hears you!!
yeah, exactly our works can't save us only the works on the cross, Christians do good works AFTER being saved not before or to 'gain' salvation that video got me messed up fr☠
Thank you for this compilation! I've been trying to Philippians 4:8 and this is helpful. 😂 I've been trying to stop consuming content that leads me to think the type of stuff that just nurtures my flesh and makes it harder not to sin and easier to slip into sin and instead consume more things that prompt me to think the type of thoughts that fit with Philippians 4:8. I started watching The Chosen for that reason. 😂 And these tiktoks are actually funny. I listen to more Christian music and do it more casually like I just let it play and if I like a song then I can saved it to a playlist. It really does get me thinking thoughts of praise, thoughts on righteousness, thoughts on things that are lovely and beautiful, etc. I sometimes listen to testimonies on youtube or some type of Christian lecture. I recently started listening to a narration of the ESV translation on an ESV app. I used to always want to focus on just the bible so I wanted to read it carefully which is very good but when I don't have the mental juices for that or when I'm on the bus I can listen to that narration and it's so awesome. I've listened to Acts chapters 1 to 11 despite all the distractions (I replayed many parts many times because I wasn't focused enough to really process it) and despite that it was always on the go or while still in bed. That's time I wouldn't have used to read the classic way so that's 11 chapters of the bible I just wouldn't have read by now. So that's super nice.
If anyone out there is reading this, I could use a prayer for Monday. I might be losing my job. I was asked to go home Thursday after saying something perceived to be self-harming (and this was not the first time I’ve been reprimanded about it). God help me please!
Y'all, I'm so glad I found Jesus. I was so far into being affected by Satan that I once ripped up a Bible, I'm working really hard to repair my relationship with God now. I hope it's not too late to be forgiven
"Where in the bible it says you're saved by faith alone" Paul talks a lot about how it's NOT BY WORKS and NOT THROUGH OBEYING THE LAW but BY GOD'S GRACE and THROUGH FAITH. That is so important. The importance of works is that they reflect your faith. We don't just believe in God's existence and believe in the gospel of Jesus Christ, we also believe God - faith is also that type of trust - we believe in God, we believe God, we trust God. When people emphasize works I think they don't draw that line that it is definitely not by works that we are justified in the sense that we do not earn salvation with our works. But it is through works that reflect our faith and are the fruit of faith that we are ALSO justified in the sense that we shouldn't delute outselves into thinking if we just recognized who the one true God and then willfully neglect and ignore His will and willfully do whatever we want we're then saved. It is through faith we are saved, but not if that faith is dead. Works are more like the signs of faith. So when someone talks about how we are saved through faith alone I think it's a good thing to make sure to point out exactly what you agree with and exactly what you disagree with. Or else there's a high risk of talking past each other and confusing each other into believing things that CONTRADICT THE GOSPEL! And I don't want that for anyone of us and ofc neither does God. Read James chapter 2 in fullness. Then read Romans 10 and 11 in fullness, then read Hebrews 12:2 (beginner/author/founder of our faith and perfecter of our faith) then read Ephesians 2:8-10 (the "this" in "and this is not your own doing" likely referring to the "you have been saved" gramatically in the original language or so to say to the entirety of salvation, not just the grace and the faith) and read James 2 in it's fullness again! And I think then ou'll see what I mean in my comment and you'll understand the verses the tiktok quotes differently. I hope this is true, and I hope this is helpful and upbringing for someone! May God bless you and guide you and fill your life with His love, joy and peace. ❤
JESUS LOVES YOU SO MUCH THAT HE DIED ON THE CROSS FOR YOURS AND EVERYONES SINS SO ACCEPT HIM AS YOUR LORD AND SAVIOR AND REPENT BECAUSE JESUS IS COMING BACK SOON✝️✝️❤️❤️
Not gonna lie, every time I read the Bible and it mentions a dragon, I get really excited because I'm a huge nerd, but then I remember the dragon is actually Satan, and I just 😭
When I was a little kid (like 5 or so) I thought that if you ripped out a page in the Bible even if it was by accident, Jesus would appear from the page and tell you what you did wrong and I actually don't remember exactly what I thought would happen... But once I accidently made a little rip in the Bible... And nothing happened. So now I know that my thoughts were not true lol😂❤🙏🙏🙏
Yet, that thought is quite true when it's understood allegorically (children know much things correctly by themselves, they just take everything very literally). We have no right to take one single word or doctrine out of the faith that was once for all delivered to the saints. But if such thing happens, willingly or by accident, God will gently correct us and call us back to Him.
Ya'll better dtop being dcared to pray outloud. 2Timothy 1:7 For God has not give us a spirit of fear but of power and love and a sound mind. You all are children of God I KNOW ya'll ain't scared of a little snake. Jesus loves you be blessed.
