To me, this is Monty Python-level funny. One of the best skits to come out of any/all skit shows.

It's so hard to watch House after watching this... I keep expecting House to do a tap dance and whack Wilson in the face with his cane

I remember this from my teenage days and can almost recite the whole sketch from that memory. And it ends after this clip with Hugh saying "That REALLY hurt. No, really. That REALLY hurt!!"

Most dramatic actor in America... but the minute his British accent comes on, he's the funniest actor in the world!

Fry and Laurie really excel in combining acutely observed comedy with a refreshing dollop of silliness! Never fail to make me laugh!

The genius of Hugh Laurie is not only in his ability portray the attitude and accent of an American character...but, more impressively, in his brilliant comedic ability in both American and British HUMOR, which are obviously two very different brands of humor. There are some other British actors who can convincingly portray Americans, and vice verse with American actors who can portray British characters...But, you're a little more hardpressed to find any actor, anywhere who can transition from one type of HUMOR to another. Changing accents and behaviors takes practice, but comedic ability requires more natural ability, and Hugh Laurie has natural ability in two very different brands of comedy.

Hugh laurie IS British. Its not an accent; actually for the role of house he just has an incredible American accent

I acted this out for my mom once, and she was practically crying from laughing so hard. Now I must forward this to her so she can see the masters at work. I can't send it to her job b/c she'll be giggling too much, so I'm sending it to her at home. Love ya mom, Mr. Fry and Mr. Laurie. :D

I think I just died. This is real comedy. Light-hearted, clever comedy that doesn't alienate or offend anyone.

One could imagine how Cleese and Palin would have done this in a Monty Python sketch.

One of the best sketches ever...the timing, how it evolves from tension to farce and how Fry schools Laurie into real comedy using a cricket bat!

My niece enjoys re-enacting this sketch and repeatedly hitting me with an imaginary cricket bat.

Nice but I could not help thinking about Blackadder, that scene in S03E06, Fry and Atkinson beating up Laurie to make a point, priceless.

As an American: Fry and Laurie is infinitely better than ALL American television.

They cut out the ending! Hugh Laurie says "that was too hard" Then Stephen says something I can't remember and Hugh says "forget the bloody sketch that was too hard!" Stephen "Oh did it? *turns to camera* he's just a child really"

Such a classic piece of comedy! Always makes me laugh to see these two perform on screen time and time again XD

I love Stephen Fry hitting Hugh Laurie i find it very calming.

I hardly ever laugh when I watch comedy on my own, but I did at this. I love Fry and Laurie :)

They cut out the best bit. When Hugh says, "That was too hard" and Stephen says "It is a difficult address to spell sir" and he says, "Sod the sketch that was too hard, that really hurt" to which Stephen replies "Diddums"
