@@chadalpha7983 I like the character of Furiosa myself. But stop with the Woke Re Writing of History. To say Mad Maxx is the least important element of a Mad Maxx film? Is just silly and dishonest. You’re only fooling your self. I liked Fury Road (However) it was a bait & switch movie. So I understand people reservations with this film. The one thing that was essential in all Mad Maxx movies. In a Post Apocalyptic World. The single hope in those movies about a hopeless World was Maxx himself. Being the X Factor, changing the odds.. Furiosa and the Girls from Fury Road. Would have died without Max on their journey. Which is why I didn’t totally hate Fury Road. It is the World of Mad Maxx 🔥 🌏
Yay. Geriatric Grumpy Max patrols the wasteland in his mobility scooter searching for replacement false teeth and incontinence pads. The kids will buy tickets in droves. .
@@maxmurphy4476he’ll have knobby tyres on the scooter and a train horn. Box office gold. Plus he’ll find the feral kid working like a hermit in a cramped jewelry workshop… oh ……wait …….. that did happen…..
I saw a feature that showed how Nathan Jones (Rictus) showed up to WW in his original costume from MMFR and cruised the grounds, returning the V-8 salute and generally playing along, that must've been awesome! Nothing like a 6'10" 350 lb powerlifter to add gravitas. Although I reiterate my call to move it over the line into Nevada, we got real desert rats with real .50 cal machine guns to add flavor.
I'd like to Miller do a prequel or sequel to Waterworld !! Great world building and he could really take it to the next level ! That was a decent movie and I'm absolutely not a Costner fan.
I wonder if the Mad Max series will be like *"The Girl From Tomorrow"* since that had its very own Savage Mad Max future itself after the 21st century. Later becoming back on track being high tech ingenious living in a peaceful paradise better than Star Trek Just imagine that whole *"gotta get worse before getting better"* thing and this mad Max universe becomes a high tech ingenious reasonable peaceful paradise
Looks like they've bizarrely given up on the elaborate stunt work utilized in Fury Road and gone with the CGI stunt work approach - I suspect the budget here is much smaller, perhaps.
@@Grommo Or maybe it's the many action-film fans who been repeatedly burned by the woke agenda pushed by Blackrock thru Hollywood. It becomes tiresome when a "Strong Female Lead" character who is half the size of her male opponents can so readily defeat them in combat, and also repeatedly demonstrate seemingly untrained expertise in whatever the movie requires them to do. Haven't you gotten THE MESSAGE yet? Perhaps, you are thirsty and need another glass of kool-aid.
Finally, a modern style trailer for Furiousa. The type of trailer, currently very popular, that summarizes the whole film. From this I learned that Furiousa's mother follows her to try recapture her, and that at some stage Furiosa falls in love and he is I guess killed by Dementus. Thanks, now I don't need to watch the whole movie.
Same as Dune: Momma's Boy catches a serious case of worms and becomes badass and defeats badguys. Why bother watching right? The only rule of Dunce club is that you don't realise you are in Dunce club.
What an inane comment. Max is still Max wandering the wasteland and Furiosa is the same character she was from the previous film, but just a younger version.
Did not realise that Mad Max is actuallly Mad Maxine. How times have changed. I was expecting something a bit more original than just another CGI version of Mad Max 2. I will watch it though cos it is Mad Max.
If Max can do it, then why not others? The story is more than just Max, and that's why Max stumbled across so many adversaries that have created whole civilisations.
Well if the 2h movie drags me through 40m poor girl me story arc at the cost of acually tieing the movie togeather il not be surprised. Gonna watch it online..
@@Grommo I never lose and by not watching this woke garbage I win nobody wants to see a bald toothpick beating up Thor doesn't make sense plenty of good female hero movies have been made but this trash
I thought furisoa in fury road was much better and i liked her alot in that movie cause she looks like she can fight but in this movie this is a young skinny girl beating the shit out of a jacked 200 pound chris hemsworth
@@im_batman_10 she doesn’t beat up Hemsworth anywhere in the film using strength. Seriously you guys are inventing in your mind fantasy scenarios to object to that aren't even in the film.
@@mykemechyeah I agree. It looks way more stylised which is mostly deliberate to give it a surrealist dream vibe. Stuff that was definitely shot fully real like the 6wheel truck look cgi because of the weird colour grading strangely looks fake but isn't. The landscape backgrounds are largely digital but no more than in FR. But that over saturation looks weird in the trailers. Maybe George’s macular degeneration (fading eyesight) makes him want to crank the colours up more intensely. That flying stuff is obviously cgi but most of the vehicle shots are all real and on location. That combi van going off the cliff is obviously cgi too but begins as a real combi I think and transitions to animated whilst the war rig is still real. If you took a film like the Godfather and cranked up the colour so much you’d swear it was animated too.
I'm really confused about where this series is headed. I'm not really excited for this even as someone who enjoyed the Mel trilogy as a (older) kid. I really wish they would have gone a different route. Since OG Mad Max and its trilogy is one of my favorite pieces of media, I even had seperate ideas for where the series could have gone after beyond thunderdome, but unfortunately the release of fury road kind of bricked it. I agree that bringing Mel back probably isn't the best idea for his age, they need to bring someone that would act the role with that same diaposition. Edgy but not for the sake of it, more quick and less desperate, not an uncaged animal like he was in fury road. I understand that what the writing did with his character was sort of a stage-setter for the actual plot, and is supposed to depict his minds steady unraveling and the obscenities and atrocities he's witnessed. But there's no real, concrete incentive for his character to have become like that, and if there was, it's almost like the writing team was allergic to explaining it. Even the end of the movie where he basically 'redeemed' himself and put his mind at a bit of ease, its like cool. Now we have no idea what the character the series is named after's disposition is like. Its like a cliff hangar. He could have very well gone back to that old Max vibe, but instead the writing team was like 'alright, now let's focus on this edgy chick he helped save because now that theres a sizeable civilization in the wasteland with water and other necessities that *aren't* controlled by a tyrant, somehow her backstory now matters.' I really hope for the sake of the fans of the Mel content that they find a way to tie all this shit together in a manner that it deserves.
Need less ladies in leading roles, Saw the show The Crown and the king was barely in it, this woke push has been going on for 50 years, saw alien and the only survivor was a lady and a cat, saw Titanic and the Man got off a door for a lady, even movies like black hawk down had a guy blown in half talking about his wife.
My dictating didn't work2 things Mel Gibson is 68 years old so he's not in his prime Mad max is not in this movie so it's not a mad max movie it's a furiosa movie How hard is hard is that to figure out good lord
How is it woke? Furiosa is the same character from the last film. We get it that you hate women, particularly if they aren’t in a handmaids tale submissive situation but statistically at least half of the women you’ll ever meet will be smarter than you and probably braver and more resourceful. Furiosa is a kidnapped girl who is constantly thwarted from trying to escape captivity from men until she picks up a few non strength related skills. How is that woke? Get a grip.
@@Grommo it certainly seems as though you completely failed to grasp the essence of my point, whilst eschewing all attempt at rational thought; instead resorting to a knee jerk reaction of monumental assumptions and derisive insults. What, specifically, do you know of the calibre of my relationships with women? Precisely zero. I would therefore counsel you not to form views in the vacuum of ignorance. Good day.
@@AlexAlcyone easily triggered too it appears. You still haven’t rationally justified your puerile bandwagon comment. How is it woke? Oh of course. I see she goes to defend herself at night and tries to stab the guy praetorian Jack who effortlessly overpowers her with one hand. Women having hidden weapons at hand is woke. Then she actually hides under a truck during a battle with a hidden motorbike obviously trying to escape. That is SO woke women hiding and fleeing dangerous situations. A woman should know her two places. Then she has the audacity to drive a car!!!! SO WOKE!!!! We know from our desert brothers in Saudi that women should not dare drive! And worse of all she has learned to use guns. SO woke!! Women must only learn to use frying pans and serving spoons or civilisation will collapse in a morass of wokeness.
I would have preferred a completely different story, a crossover of Mad Max with Mel and Fury Road. Old Mel raises Furiosa, then they lose sight of each other. At some point they meet again, this time she's an adult, Charlize. Together they have a final fight and Max dies in her arms. THAT would be a movie I would find cool
@@Grommo You Americans probably only understand it when you are told directly! You're just not intelligent enough to read between the lines My message is that you have nothing more to offer than sequels and remakes. And bad ones at that. Russian films are taking over from Hollywood, just like the BRICS countries are bringing down your economy.
How is she a girl boss?? As we can see She gets thwarted pretty well every step of the way until Immortal Joe supports her and that guy played by Tom Burke helps her. . All these incels looking for an excuse to be outraged and cry about women . It’s pathetic.
SURE a story to be told but the sea of prequels that meant nothing as it had no steaks in the current point in the timelines, the only prequel with a true interest worth actually telling being Star Trek strange new worlds as captain pike condition as he appeared in the original is shocking and warrants interest, PEOPLE really want to see Mel Gibson again or at least more Tom Harty (Mad max) not a TRIP to the past that is not very interesting, she is too new a character to the story to become the focus, and will take away from the whole.
@@NeighborTom except in the film we discover she develops skills as a crackshot. And trained by praetorian jack played by Tom Burke becomes a skilled driver. Why do you ignorant people so proudly assert your ignorance ?
