What’s happening in this Fury movie clip?
Still in the tank, the last four men are more and more surrounded by German soldiers. Fighting for survival, Gordo (Michael Pena from Crash) is shot while unpinning a grenade and throws himself on it to protect the others, and a German sniper kills Bible (Shia LaBeouf from Peanut Butter Falcon and Transformers) and severely wounds Don (Brad Pitt from Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood and Fight Club).

What’s the Fury movie about?
In April 1945, the Allies are making their final push in the European theater. A battle-hardened Army sergeant named Don "Wardaddy" Collier (Brad Pitt from Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood and Fight Club), leading a Sherman tank and a five-man crew, undertakes a deadly mission behind enemy lines. Hopelessly outnumbered, outgunned and saddled with an inexperienced soldier (Logan Lerman from Percy Jackson and the Perks of Being a WallFlower) in their midst, Wardaddy and his men face overwhelming odds as they move to strike at the heart of Nazi Germany.

Then you should know - all this is a lie of Hollywood. Hitler's most experienced, best troops died on the Eastern Front from 1941 to 1944. The United States landed in Europe by the end of the war, when the Germans for the Western Front had only those who didn't have sufficient experience, the elderly, children, Volkssturm. In this film, German anti-tank guns cannot hit a tank from a distance of 300 m. The "Tiger" knocked out 1 tank with the first shot, and then couldn't hit at a shorter distance - nonsense. In his memoirs, a famous german tanker wrote that "In the end, five Russians were more dangerous than thirty Americans." It even got to the point that the Germans could steal American jeeps while the Yankees slept in some French house) And in the film, three 7.62 caliber bullets from a sniper rifle are not enough to stop Brad Pitt.

@@soboro76 that’s not the point… There sure bullets whizz and can even graze but once they hit center mass, damage is done. Grenades are “kill radius” Anything in specific radial 360 degree sphere from that blast is obliterated. Only by smothering grenades, is the blast radius Drastically reduced because all of the shrapnel and impact is absorbed by 1 soldier. It’s an ancient act of valor that is both visceral and cerebral. The person who does it knows he will sac himself in order to save those around him. A coward, yellow belly, spineless man would NEVER do this because it takes immense amount of selfless bravery. Or you could be a dick and let it go off.

Don climbing on the tank machine gun and shooting at the Nazis at the start is a reference to real WW2 hero Audie Murphy who single-handedly swept 50 Nazi Soldiers with the machine gun on top of a destroyed M10 Tank Destroyer, only leaving his position after running out of ammo.

I wonder how they confirm the number of kills done by war heroes in these stories. In war, you are moving AND so is your enemy. It's cloudy, dusty, and there's debris everywhere and you can't see what you actually hit unless you walked over to where you shot to confirm the kill

@@jaked8515 He means when he died it was becuase he got shot while he peeked out of the hatch to throw the grenade and the he dropped it. Earlier he was arching the grenades out of the hatch without peeking. The one time he peeks he gets shot and drops the grenade and has to cover it to save his team. I think PaulBeen is saying that his death could have been avoided if he just kept throwing from under the hatch intead of looking outside of it.

It really is not. I've only watched the film once, because I just didn't want to watch it again. War Daddy's APPALLING leadership. The tactics are trash, the situations are poor, the effects are pretty poor, the number of viewers applauding the near constant American War Crimes. The cliché characters. The list goes on. It COULD have been a good war movie, but they fluffed it at every turn. Just having the cast getting muddy doesn't mean it's a good film.

Legend has it over 30000 German troops were killed that day trying to capture a useless tank that was barely a threat to anything. This looked like the war movie equivalent of hundreds of black belts attacking Jackie Chan and getting tossed around, for apparently no reason.

as a director, Brad Pitt is an outsider. The epic battle of the crew in a tin can against a regiment of Germans is just ridiculous. in reality, two Germans would pour gasoline on this crypt and throw an epic lighter with the words Astala wista Bebi😂

This movie had its moments, but a little bit of investigation into probable German tactics could have really made this a top tier war movie. The ending was dumb. The battle with the Tiger tank was dumb. The attack on the anti tank gun units was dumb. The Germans weren't stupid.
