Austen, Your course on skillshare is really really good. I don't have a 3d printer yet, but once I feel confident in being able to design then I will purchase one. Thanks!
Hey thanks so much Philip ! Leave some feedback on the course page if you can ! And thats good plan. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing your idea come to life. I recommend the Ender 3 when the time comes. Cheers ! -Austen
Your description describes more in depth Fusion 360 training as free but the link takes me to skill share which requires a paid subscription with credit card. It offers 1 month free. Is your course downloadable there or is it intended to be consumed in that first month?
Skillshare hosts it! It’s a free month membership right now. You can sign up; watch all the content , download the files and then cancel the membership and never be charged .
@@AustenHartley Hello, So I am into 3d printing things and selling them online but am not the most skilled at designing them. Based on your modals you seem very skilled. i was wondering if you would be interested in making a TLR PADDLE SWITCH for this light amazon.com/Streamlight-69260-Weapon-Tactical-Flashlight/dp/B00B8Q31UQ/ref=sr_1_5?dchild=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjwl_SHBhCQARIsAFIFRVUllZEow0BPcvMK53N3l7CJ4-d3o_saSBOJO5UM0TfOa51ckm97QyYaAtISEALw_wcB&hvadid=410013233700&hvdev=c&hvlocphy=9033569&hvnetw=g&hvqmt=e&hvrand=8665675741719059792&hvtargid=kwd-18895341207&hydadcr=25887_11416531&keywords=tlr+1&qid=1627234178&sr=8-5 If you are interested in designing this I would buy this from you Thanks for your time. -Hudson
@@Hudson12339 Hi H&M Your best bet would be to find someone local to do that project as it is a small project. Alternatively, maybe post your email address here and someone in the comments will reach out ! If you check your local classifieds or facebook market place for people offering 3D printing services there is for sure someone who will be able to do it for a reasonable price !
Just discovered your channel and immediately started your skill share class. Question/potential video idea for you. How would you go about modeling a fox pendant like the one made in this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ObhZdiaPEwk.html
Hey David ! It can definitely be done using the content in the existing videos on Skillshare ! If you use an offset plane and mirror the cut outs for the curved sections like the ears it will work !
@@AustenHartley thanks. Actually that’s how far I got. The part I’m struggling with is getting the curve of the forehead into the nose. I feel like fillets don’t feel quite right as the curve is more gentle, but it feels like the curves are on too many axis’ to just do a side and front profile and intersect. I feel like I need a bulge command. So I’d say I’m probably close enough, but I was hoping to make it perfect. And thank you so much for responding, and so quickly. You’re truly one of my favorite educators online.
@@davidalan6701 Hi David ! Of course. Your other option is to create a curved line and then an oval and extrude the oval along the path of the curved line to make that cut. It's kind of hard to explain via comment but there is a few different ways those cuts can be achieved ! I'm posting a video on using the spline tool on Skillshare soon, it may be of some use as well for creating that sketch !
