That is the best method that I have seen yet. Mastercam was allowing a person to draw an arc, and then type the text directly onto that arc in 1991, and before. I have often wondered why no one else has worked this out. This method comes very close without all of the dragging and rotating on each character, which costs money, and never gets things right. Again, I thank you for sharing with the world.
I have to agree. I have been using MasterCam for decades and letters on an arc have always been a thing there, of course they were not TrueType fonts, but still. Just can't believe Fusion 360 doesn't have that feature.
Worked, thank you. I have never ventured into sheet metal, before. Clever approach. I designed a spool hub for a particular 3D filament manufacturer. Now I have a bunch of different ones for different manufacturer's spools, I needed to start getting ID text right on them

Hi, very useful. Can you think to make a video explaining the sheet metal function INSIDE a normal solid creation? like this but other function (if exist)
For people who are getting error messages when they try to refold make this part at 1:28 a different component from the yellow circle and make sure you can`t see the yellow circle.
Not yet, though they are supposedly working on it... If you prefer, you can design your text in inkscape (or anything that will give you an svg) and import it that way.

Got the arc done, but when switched to sheet metal, won't let me create/extrude flange. Error 'could not create a valid result + tool body creation failed'. Any ideas?
