Hello and welcome. Thanks for the feedback buddy. These are very basic / entry level tutorials to get my high school engineering students started. Most have never used CAD before, so I get them to model and draw what they are making. This way it helps to keep them engaged and they understand the product before making it. Have good day. Cheers, Aaron.
Hello Aaron, I use FreeCad, because Free is in the name, but I actually picked up some tips about speeding up sketches that will apply to it as well. Look forward to more of these. The programs actually work quite similar. All the shortcuts, tools, and the naming conventions are the same and the build tree is very similar. Though Fusion looks a bit easier and faster.
G'day Eddie. Thanks for watching mate. These videos in this playlist are for my high school engineering students. We are currently in lockdown again over here in Melbourne. This is our 6th one, and the poor bloody students are struggling. Near impossible to teach CAD over Zoom. I have heard of FreeCAD, but never used it. I've used PTC, Solidworks and now Fusion360. I've invested so much time into it, that I don't want to change again. Whilst I'm teaching I have access to Autodesk products for free, but once that stops it will be a whole other matter. Thanks for the support me Eddie. Cheers, Aaron.
@Design Creativity & Technology Channel I had intro courses to Autocad in Uni back in the 90's. The programs today are incredible compared. FreeCad is pretty good, the way you were doing everything in the video was basically the same as FreeCad just arranged slightly differently. The UI is much more rudimentary but also a bit harder to use because it is not as refined. I think I might try the free version of Fusion. I'll see if I can pass your course.😁
@@theeddies (In old man's teacher voice) "You make sure do your homework young man"! I don't want to have to ring your parents. Especially because the international connection fees will kill me. I'm only a struggling poor school teacher LMAO
@@DCT_Aaron_Engineering lol, yes sir. I downloaded Fusion free and started playing with it a bit. Making a mockup of my #toolfest21 entry. Much faster than FreeCad and no real new learning curve, everything is close enough.
