Dubai is just a hideous mess of random buildings and horrible zoning. As far as the tallest tower, they can keep it. Chicago is much more beautiful.

Well, rail transportation IS the real reason that Chicago is a major metropolis, so it would make sense as a high speed rail hub linking the West with the Northeast.

@Hakohito The shrinking population of Chicago has nothing to do with 'corruption', nor 'high taxes'. Chicago lost tens of thousands of poor people who lived in the larger projects (all torn down) and they continue to lose poor residents who move out to the South Suburbs. Who is staying in Chicago? The more affluent City of Chicago workers/teachers/police/firemen who don't want to live around others like them. Who is moving to Chicago? Affluent and educated peole who want to be in a Top 3 City in the US. The City will be less populous but more affluent and THOSE are the kinds of people a city wants...harsh but true.

@@Jeschitown THat is a lie Ive been living in chicago illinois all my life let me say this the main goal n money where has it been spent where u lookin at on this video DOWNTOWN CHICAGO the neighborhoods they are slowly fixing up like freaking pennies and nickels I am keeping it real myself and a colleague of mines drove all the way from downtown to 95th red line once you get past 37th the neighborhood begin to look ok or like a gentleman i asked that live on 43rd near the expressway said "they don't do ish i'll say it that way for this area and beyond he is right its trashy driving on state now at that time pathethic down right pathetic vs coming into downtown u get a smile coming out of it and into the heart of the city pathetic and sad we have people in the office dont care much of a cookie for the city of chicago they care about money pouring in downtown overcharging n ruining the city and the people

@@sassyd8738 obliviously you only been to the South side I didn't say every single neighborhood,. West loop fulton market is exploding probably one of the hottest neighborhood market wise in the country. Medical district area on the west side, bridgeport, river North, bridgeview, I mean I can go on and on but you get the idea. I'm not saying they picking the correct neighborhoods that need to be addressed simply and observation from a development point of view. Also the CTA stop at 95th st has and will continue to do wonders for the far south side.

People need to wake up stop re-voting people in this city who aint did jack in it when they were suppose to and start putting people in the office an hope they do what is needed for our city before it is too late to talk n the people dont wanna hear as this year seems to be it sadly

China has banned supertall buildings, the middle east is for clought for super rich oil mongols, and imo this skinny supertalls going up in NYC are kind of ugly and look out of place, but take that with a grain of salt
