This guy has a dangerous step and the speed the back it up not to mention the hands aswell. Springbok team selection will be exciting in the coming years the talent is just endless we are truly a gifted rugby nation.

You are so right. Sacha Mngomezulu is also a genius waiting to be given a chance. Jerenzo "the boogieman" Julies or just "the boogeyman," Van Wyk, Hartzenberg, Moodie, all still under 22 years old and scary good.😮

Yes. Good for him. With Williams and Hendrikse (and Pienaar), there were simply too many scrummies. Sharks always seem to have insane depth and quality at 9. From Kokott, McLeod, Reinach, Pienaar, Nohamba, Hendrikse and Williams...there has always been a real pro present.

@@kwandamadela7707 We have good depth in some positions. We lack quality depth at Lock and Loose Forwards. Aside from that, the team was a bit disjointed tactically. There is now a shift where the players will have more responsibility for the game plan that is to be executed. Sharks are thinking long term, aiming to peak in a year or two. We are a the start of the process now. Every team has peaks and troughs.

Think of Rassie, think of our forwards. Think of the bench. He can play 9 and 10, maybe even wing or 15. 7-1 split would work with him.

I really like the guy, but where are you going to play him, and who is he going to replace? Scrumhalf you have Faf, Hendricks and Williams to name a few. Flyhalfs you have Pollard, Libbok and the new genius Sacha Mngomezulu. I can see him play a role but he will not be my first choice in any position. Unfortunately we just have such depth and talent in this country. I wish we could select two teams. Maybe we should start a South African version of the Maori All Blacks. They can tour and play touring teams that visit South Africa. We can call them the "Abaselula", or "Ezizayo."

Faf is way past his prime @ 32 years, the only thing he has going is his experience. Williams & Hendrickse are not even in Nohamba's level right now. Libbok?? Everything Libbok is good at, Nohamba does it better tbh. The appointment of an attacking NZ coach indicates Rassie knows we've run out of Pollard type of Flyhalfs in SA & we're shifting to a running back line.

Not sure where you have been but hendricks is done, he was a 1 season guy like Jantjies. Faf is getting old he will not be going to the next world cup, so blooding young guys will be on Rassies agenda.

Hard disagree. His versatility is a strength. He will probably play both positions in his career going forward. Think of our national team. We have players who allow us to have 7-1 splits and weird combos. Nohamba will definitely go to the springbok camp as 3rd choice 10, who else is there?

@chris5240 bro yes, he has shown so sparks of brilliance at 10... but things like putting him on the wing when defending, that alone is a sign of weakness... at international level you are going to have Bandi Ake charging at you,,, smart teams will target him, no matter how hard you try to protect him, he will be exposed. For me... play him where he is strongest and that's at 9... at 10 he's in the firing line,,, that might lead to unnecessary injuries. He's a smart player, but don't put him in the firing line. Go get a 10, and Sanele at 9. That's just my take.

Watch the space & you'll see what the Springboks are cooking. The appointment of the new attacking coach hints that Libbok WILL have to pull a rabbit out of a hat to cement his spot, plus everything Libbok is good at, Nohamba does it better.

@simosithole7095 he'll make the Boks... but as a 9... not a 10. If you play Nohamba at 10 at test level you're just asking for trouble. Going forward he's fantastic... defensively he's not the strongest... you're just shortening his International career if you're playing him at 10...
