So to make sure that I understand what you’re saying correctly, you’re using a V mount battery to power everything through the hub? Can this also be done with something like an Anker power bank instead?
Yes, that's what I'm demoing in this video. Everything in the thumbnail (monitor, camera, transmitter, receiver) powered via a v-mount battery. Obviously it depends on the wattage used by the devices and types of connections (IE: there is only one USB-C port on the hub so if you are powering it via USB-C then you can't be outputting on USB-C at the same time as that port is in use), and if your USB-C power bank only supports 30w then you couldn't attach a simultaneous load of 60w. What are you wanting to power from the power bank?
@@Isaac_Insoll Just an A7S III and/or an FX3 with a Ninja V. Obviously, each camera is separate. I want to get crazy long battery life, but V-Mounts are silly expensive to buy.
Hi, thanks for the video. I've got one question. If I want to power my monitor using sony L dummy to dtap, and my FX3 using usb c, is that safe not to use the nano hub, and connect both devices directly to the nano battery?
If you haven’t bought a v mount yet and just want a USB PD port definitely get a battery with that built in. This is just good if you have a V mount already without USB PD or are wanting the other DC ports
