Nice consistent driving...shat an experience it must be to feel that car work like that in your hands. I have alot of respect for the guys that spend money this way. Experiences like that are priceless in my mind. Congrats and keep sharing so I can keep dreaming!
Thank you for the video, and thank you for reading the comments and answering people's questions. Keep uploading more videos please, I really like them.
You're a beast of a driver and a great guy as well by looking at your comment section. Thank you for what was one of the best automotive experiences of my life, seeing these cars in person was just unreal
That throttle response is disgusting, also love the audio...that exhaust note is intoxicating; I could watch & listen to this for hours lol. Pure cargasm. Cheers, thanks for sharing!!
well ERS just completely depleted just before that message poped up so my guess is it is for when the battery is out of charge and you trying to deploy it.
Thx for sharing all of this awesome onboards 👍 You have one of the most amazing motorsports chanel on RU-vid👌 Little question, is it quicker than a gt3 like 488? And if yes how mutch?
Fanstastic content, loved watching this. I did want to ask: Is the EVo really a big enough upgrade from the "regular" FXX K to justify the price difference? I know it has more aero, but isn't it like a Million $ + more than the normal FXX K? Also, as a buyer of these cars (the only buyer who ever would respond to us normal plebs, which makes you mighty cool in my eyes), what's the draw towards these track only hypercars? I understand, even with almost double the horsepower, road cars like the LaFerrari are compromised to be more compliant and accessible, and when combined with road tires, it makes sense that they would be slower around a track than GT3 cars. But these "uncompromised", track only hypercars with slicks still apparently have less grip than GT3 cars (according to Chris Harris), and their lap times are similar or slower. So why spends 5-10x as much on a track only hypercar vs buying a GT3 car? I don't expect you to respond, but I, and I assume others, really would love to hear some insight. I get buying a Hypercar, that is a monster on the track, but you can also take for a Sunday cruise on a B road. But if you are spending a fortune on a track only car, that is ouperformed by race cars at a much lower price point, what's the point? They still seem a bit compromised. I'll add that the Senna GTR, after seeing it's Goodwood run, and hearing the bangs, rattles and vibrations seems like the exception; it seems like that car made VERY few compromises and is far closer to an actual GT Race car than the P1 GTR or FXX K
i race a GT3 car, and while it is a couple of seconds quicker around a track, it is slow.... A GT3 car with lots of downforce, means you can take a corner at a higher minimum speed, and then you "only" have 500bhp for acceleration. while a FXXK, you will be slower in the corner and then you have a 1000bhp, so the sense of acceleration is much greater. I love racign, but it is sometimes hard work, in one of these you just go out for a track day on great tracks with some great people. Personally i dont get road cars on the track. if you think one of these XX cars is compromised on the track vs a GT3 or LMP car, you are right, but a road car on road tyres, road suspension is multiples of that. and yes the Senna GTR seem to be the least compromised of the track car, i.e. most race car like. which can make it the best or the worst of them depending on your view. because if it really is like a race car, then why not buy a 720GT3, run it unrestricted (no BoP) for a fraction of the cost of a Senna GTR.... and for the people that will convert their Senna GTR to road cars and pose at cars and coffe, i dont really know what to say
@@AlexanderWest according to mclaren the senna gtr will set the quickest lap times of any mclaren other than formula 1, maybe it can do the nordschleife in 6:15?
@@albertweedsteinthethuggeni7797 i would be shocked if it wasnt the quickest. that is a very low bar, an 825bhp car on slicks and active aero being quicker than a 500 bhp car on slicks (650sGT3). the question though is will it be quicker than say an unrestricted 650Gt3 or 720GT3 (i.e. a proper race car with 600-650BHP). it should be but not sure it will. It will surely be quicker than the P1GTR and the FXXK, but will it be quicker than say the Brabham?
Awesome :) Quick question, do you guys change the setup on your cars individually? Asking because I noticed at turn 1 that some drivers had glowing rear discs, while others only had glowing front discs, which to me suggests different brake bias set at least.
Thanks for the upload. Just wondering about hugging the ripple strips on the hairpin rather than entering wide and taking a late apex? Please ignore if a dumb question ! Cheers. I have no idea who you are :) New sub !
in a higher downforce car that would probably make sense. in a road car or a lower downforce car like the FXXK, you are grip/traction limited out of a corner. SO it is probably better to V the curve, brake late, try to hit the inside apex and let the car go a little bit wide and slow it down so that you can do a sharp turn and be aiming straight(ish) as quickly as possibly so that you can get on power. i didnt really do a good job on that on either of the laps (basically hit the brakes too soon...)
What was the error in the end with the battery pack? A temperature issue or something more serious? The Evo looks a lot more planted than the FXX K that I've seen - it almost looks like a GT3 car!
Just temps, Nürburgring is a taxing track for the kers with lots of short bursts of full power. Not GT3 like but Evo is more race car like than the fxxk for sure
my fastest was a 2.02, BUT and here comes the excuses ;), full tank, No hybrid for half the lap (HVB failure), i dont drive the FXXK that much as my wife drives it and i jump between 3 cars, so plenty of areas for improvement. braked too early in the the hairpin, could carry more speed through schumacher curves etc. i think a 2.00 flat or possibly a high 1.59 would be possible. a GT3 car weighs 300kg less (at least), has significantly more downforce and depending on which championship might be running on michelins instead of pirellis
@@AlexanderWest well that but usually road noise is a problem. Either the camera picks it up because it's in a case or the car rattles. I get the wind part.
The FXXK Evo runs around GT3 times so slower then the Porsche 919 Hybrid that won Le Mans and way slower then the unrestricted one that ran the record on the ring
@@eichler721 we have too less data for the fxxk evo to declare it slower than the 919 hybrid. Assuming things by what people have to say without actually testing is kinda foolish. So, I might be wrong and even you might be wrong. Whatever be the case, fxxk evo is freaking pioneer of automobile engineering . Such a beasty machine. Absolute beauty 😍.
@@harshkumarsingh08 I agree it's an amazing car. However it has been shown to put down GT3 car times. The 919 Hybrid that won the 24hr 3 times is 7 seconds a lap faster then a GT3 car during the race so logic says 919 Hybrid>FXXK Evo as far as track times. The Evo version of the 919 Hybrid is so much faster then the WEC car since it is unrestricted that it makes 400 more hp and more aero so alot faster. Plus unrestricted tires
I'm just entering this car world and i really love the fxx k (the evo and the old one included) and I have a question: who got the record in Nordshleife at the moment?
@@lasse7427 you forgot the "" around the road legal. I highly doubt those tyres are either available to buy as a customer nor are they road legal. same goes for Lambo
Hi Alex : just a thought, does the FXX-K Evo has a roll bar inside the cockpit? I watched some of the other youtuber footages but did not see any? Thanks.
@@AlexanderWest Thanks Alex for your quick reply. I still wonder the stiffness of the middle roof and stiffness door roof part; probably its carbon material is extra stiff and exclusive only for the FXX-K Evo only. I had seen footage of the 488 GT3 Evo and it has roll bars inside.
No wonder this car's less hardcore version the FXX K is so insane to drive in Real Racing 3 and I have to say this car and the FXX K in the game are exactly the same as in redlining at the 9000 RPM redline as the LaFerrari
Evan Mulcahy Ferrari's performance on the track is secret, so no one knows, but consider that Ferrari has more than 1000 horses, GT3 around 500, so it's difficult
i am suprsied that FXXK EVO have less downforce than GT3 car for example.. considering all the restrictions etc.. was expeting tha XX program to produce much more downforce than restricted GT3 cars.
1 it is tooheavy, 2 a lower downforce car is generally speaking easier to drive, so suits the clients better. It is NOT a car or a programme for ultimate laptimes
@@AlexanderWest oh yeah that makes a lot of logick. but in my mind it was allways that FXXK is entry lvl low downforce version and EVO is the high downforce. Cool to see it. seams like ferrari even in their race program is still about make car easy to drive, wasn't expecting that. but is very logical. but like if u would go to ferrari and say i want more downforce is this possible or, it is just ferrari that comes out with options? that clients can choose.
still is.... as you can see from my outlap on cold tyres. but that is very much what i love about this car. It is NOT about doing lap records, it is the noise, the visceral experience of gearshifts, up and down knowing well that the car will bite you if you dont control it.
