The Scottish company's pride of workmanship truly shines with its higher quality materials such as birch ply for the cabinets and BassTrax patented bass management. The vintage series are Tannoys taken to another level, they are absolutely stunning!

Most of the engineering people at Fyne speakers are from Tannoy. Especially this Dr. Paul Mills that they talk about. The old company they refer to in this video is Tannoy.

@@jimmatheos9069 Yeah, I think everyone knows that don't they? It's a big obvious when you look at the designs.

I am very intrigued by these speakers. I think the Vintage Classic X is probably the exact sweet spot of the Fyne audio classic line. I am curious to hear them someday. I have read very positive reviews of these speakers but I have also read that some people say they are coloured and my lack some of the airyness in the highs. I guess it is all subjective but I love the Tannoy series and Fyne audio designs. Very unique and characterful.

last year the Lansche plasma tweeter speakers were my " sound of the show " - they literally use a cloud of burning gas to product sound ! - stunning and jaw dropping

I consider them except for the price. I can't justify that. Decided to follow the company on RU-vid.

I have tannoy cheviots, the original hpd’s. I’ve had them for years and love them. I’m not seriously considering swapping them but would like to know how they compare to these and the new cheviot legacy?

Tannoy is out and FYNE Audio has leap frogged over Tannoy. Keep the parts made in Scotland and not in China (Tannoy).

Probably amazing speakers, but I still can't fathom how they are allowed to shamelessly make stuff resembling Tannoy so much.

Tannoy sold out to a Phillipino conglomerate called Music Group, if you look at Music Groups companies, they don't give a damn about quality, they promised Tannoy would not be touched and left to carry on as normal, but in 2016 they closed the Scottish factory where everything was made in house and moved manufacturing to China. Tannoy is no longer Tannoy, they're now made from cheap components to maximise profit, and anyone who's heard a tannoy for the last decade you can instantly hear the Tannoy sound is no longer there. All the main Tannoy talent moved across to Fyne (who are based in Scotland) who make everything in house. Their designs are 100% INTENDED to look very much like a Tannoy, it's a statement. Fyne are the original Tannoy talent. Tannoy now are simply profiting as much as possible on the old designs from unsuspecting customers who are seeking the brand name. Kevin was the main US dealer for Tannoy for years, and had to shamelessly plug them because of the contract stipulations. Now he's ditched them and moved to Fyne to give them as much support to continue to grow. When the guy is saying "that was a challenge in previous lives, I won't go into detail", he means the designs from Tannoy that they've now improved on, at the end when Kevin's saying "there's an actual factory with a real factory address", he's belittling Tannoy who have tried to keep the fact they moved production to China a secret for years and when approached just will never divulge where it's done now.
