I totally agree with G-Eazy going more commercial, the last 2 years he has been dropping commercial and uncommercial music. Too bad that people only listen to the commercial songs he makes and then immediately stop listening. He does have a lot of great songs that have never gotten as much attention. I would really love to see you guys react to G-Eazy - Opportunity Cost.

Ayyy glad you did my man G-Eazy. Don't know if you're planning on doing any more of him but if you do, everything will be okay is his most personal song ever. It discusses a story from his childhood about his mom leaving his dad and 10 years later getting together with another woman. He had to learn how to accept it until one day he found his mom's girlfriend dead on the basement floor from a drug overdose. He raps about it so well and if you want something other than a normal G-Eazy party track I would definitely give it a listen either for a reaction or off camera.

You guys are the truth! You drew me in with your reaction to TOOL 46 and 2. I've been watching almost 10 hours strait. Love how you listen to all kinds of music objectively and honestly. Don't ever stop.

I think the thing to keep in mind with G Eazy is that you really need to sit down and listen to whole albums and mixtape to get the idea of what he's trying to push across. You will encounter a variety of songs from Lotta That to Some Kind of Drug to Everything Will Be Okay. He mixes all this together and most of the time the songs and the order they are placed don't tell a story on the level of someone like Kendrick, but there is substance there and there is lyricism and there is flow. Keeping that in mind he likes to experiment with a lot of different styles. He uses songs like these to keep his name on the charts and relevant and just slightly dabbles into his messages so that some may dig deeper and figure out his purpose. And some are just radio joints with all the big stars or ones you just turn up to, because theyre fun and I think he enjoys making that stuff because he himself would bump it. But I think its so that he is able to get his message out to those who want it. I think the other to keep in mind is the speed at which he came up and stayed up. It can take a tole on someone and I think we see that reflected in some of the weaker songs from his work. Over all I think his style is very unique and ambitious and that he has the potential to became a bigger name than he already is for more than these commercial and club songs.

Suggestions for your next metal reaction... have been following the comment section and I highly recommend these bands as next: Opeth, Sepultura and Death are highly inluencal bands and are to consider. Also Amon Amarth was asked a lot and is very good band (despite taht they do all the same formula from an album to another). And personnaly recommend thse bands as they are very unique for their style in the gendra: Ihsahn, Spiral Architect, Arcturus album Sham Mirror, Agalloch, The Algorithm and Cynic. Also saw a lot of other youtubers did reaction video to Igorr, Jinjer Pische, Animals as leaders Cafo cause they are bands/videos that are blowing up what people are usually expecting.

You should listen to the song Excuse Me by Fire From the Gods. They are a group that fuses rap with heavier genres of metal, and they do it very well. They would be a great band to show someone to who listens to primarily rap or metal to get them interested in the other genre.

To start, I would listen to: "Cold Turkey", "New Chains Same Shackles", or "Runnin' Thru the 7th With my Woadies" These are great if you want to see some of their different styles If you want to dive deep into their music, try: "T.R.U.", "Memoirs of a Gorilla", "Chariot of Fire" If you don't like them at first, I highly recommend to keep listening. I didn't like them at first, but now they are one of my favorite current rap artists.

I'm no hip hop head, but my wife enjoys the commercial radio in the car and that sounded like a radio song to me. It wasn't awful don't get me wrong, but formulas work for a reason. In any genre from metal to hip hop to country. On a side note I'd like to recommend Byzantine- Everything I touch bursts into flames and I think you guys should revisit Slayer too. Don't go for raining blood, (lol), go for Seasons in the Abyss. It's got a lot more groove to it and isn't as overwhelming as raining blood.

First, I want to thank you guys for doing what you do. You've really helped me broaden my horizons musically. I grew up on country and rock and roll, with some classic R&B. At the risk of being taken the wrong way, I'm just going to throw it out there- as a guy in his mid 40's, when I came up there was "white music" and "black music." There was the crossover stuff everyone loves that got played on pop stations but by and large the edges of spectrum like soul and rap were on the black stations and country and heavy metal were on white stations. The generation after mine came up in much more of a musical melting pot and see music in a whole different way. I think a lot of that was because rock and roll fell off as the predominant form of pop music in the 90s and was replaced by hip hop. Rock and roll really hasn't been all that strong for a very long time. Country radio is a total travesty today. Of course there is great stuff out there in those genres, but you really have to go looking for it and you're only going to find it streaming. The airwaves are nothing but prefabricated disposable corporate schlock. That's why I am so happy to find you guys. Your mantra of "talent is talent" is so right and so refreshing. Your Chris Stapleton video brought me here but it was your honesty and the really cool open minded commenters that made me subscribe. Anyway, thanks again for doing what you do. I watch everything you put out even if it's something I'd never have listened to on my own in a million years. You're giving me a real appreciation for rap but I have to admit I don't have the ear for it. I don't know if it's my ears getting older or that it's just new to me and I don't catch the references, but I have a hard time understanding the words in real time. Maybe I just need practice! *By the way, the new metal stuff is just as alien to my ears. I don't get that stuff, either. My brain needs melody...
