Jarvis is cool ... he find ways around the slower riders, even takes the time to thank them for getting out of the way ... unlike Mr Knight .. all he does is shout and swears at all the slower guys !
Hadn't seen this vid before but geez, don't it show just how fast GJ gets once he knows the loop! Lap 4 - in the groove and up the pace by 50%. Would have one Megawatt if he had that pace on the first lap. I'm old but these vids just keep inspiring me to ride better. Thanks Graham!
i know graham is fast and all, but why is everyone else going so slow? the course doesn't seem all that difficult. it's hilly with good dirt and the occasional muddy area. Not overly difficult
Hey there,I'd say it's just local off road, hare scramble come endure type event as you point out not overly difficult and Mr Jarvis makes it look so easy, love the sound of a hard working 4st bouncing off the rev limiter new Husqvarna 350 I'd say,sweet looking track terrain look's a lot like places in New Zealand right down to the gorse and broom bush.
@jkcrusher18: I'll agree with you, man, these guys are going stupid slow. Yes, GoPros can smooth things out but I've watched enough footage from my own riding and can tell you there's nothing that technical about that course. They're just slow.
Interesting how a lot are talking some smack here.. This is some steep terrain up and down..that is very technical.. the gopro doesn't show that.. plus we are watching from the view of one of the top fastest offroad extreme riders in the world. Yet I bet none here rode this course or were in this race...RU-vid pros.
Exactly, from Jarvis's point of view it looks simple so people think it is, but the reality is Jarvis is an absolute freak at bike control and extreme technical riding. Most the people who say they could do this either ride a Chinese pit bike down the road with no helmet or don't ride at all lol
Damn he makes it look sooo easy, esp the hill sections where he just breezes through about 10 other riders, who are all stuck, likes its nothing, that must be soul destroying for the competition! ha ha, I think the comment further on regarding the Go pro making things look easier/less steep than they are is spot on. I think i would be one of the guys picking my bike up on the hill!
I had to laugh at the gent with the old XR riding in a t-shirt. Watching this video, I can hear Jarvis hitting limbs the hole time. Bet his arms are a mess after this race.
Sorry but people saying everyone else is going slow. Well too be truthfull not everyone has loads of money to keep buying new bikes and yes they are going to be slow compaired to jarvis. He is the top extream rider.
