Actually I saw a theory video which gidle youtube channel replied to with a smiley face lol that's why I believe that theory. It's actually about a women devil portrayed by soojin seducing every other member to make them turn into devils I don't really remember the details so I'll put the link here if I can find the video. Notive how the pronoun they use in the lyrics is “her”. Soyeon (rapper) is behind the lyrics and production and she’s amazing. People say this this song is LGBTQ+ since it’s talking abt how falling for the same gender is sin but in reality it’s not. “If this is sin I’ll pay the piper” basically saying if loving who I love is a sin then so be it.
But it’s also a deeper theory where Shuhua (long white dress) is a symbol for purity or god. While Soojin (purple fabric) is sin and the other members are being tempted by her and a lot more.

Aside from MAMAMOO, RED VELVET, TWICE, and BLACKPINK that are all third generation kpop groups which produces high quality music with each having distinctive styles, (G)I-DLE is one of the top in the fourth generation groups that can do the same. They are a total package with each members having unique tones in their voices, well choreographed dance, well thought-out music videos (I greatly advise to research regarding the meaning of their songs before actually watching their MV's), and some of their members writes their songs (Soyeon of course being a talented rapper on her own while producing most of their main tracks and Minnie from what I remember also wrote some)
to put everything into the simplest terms from all the storyline, biblical, and christianity references, this is all about a woman falling in love with another woman. Soojin (the blonde haired girl) is the devil and she is tempting all the other girls (angels) in the music video one by one. And at the end they all eventually become devils too and fall in love. This is all very clearly a metaphor for how people think loving the same gender is a sin, how they see them as "devils" etc. Soyeon, the leader of the group, produces, composes, etc. for the most of their songs, and she composed and wrote this song. The English version is even BIGGER needless evidence that this is a very lesbian song. so I hope you guys check that out too. Some other main points are Soyeon, "if this is sin then I'll pay the piper", soojin saying in the behind the scenes video, "my role is to seduce the girls", "she took me to the sky" etc. etc. This was probably one of the most boldest yet discreet songs that shows lgbtq+ in kpop. Since South Korea is sadly very conservative and very very homophobic.
This song is about temptation! Soyeon (the rapper) is the leader of Gidle & writes/ produces all of their songs! I believe they’re the only self producing girl group! (Which means soyeon has written & produced every song since debut)
The English version of this leaves nothing to interpretation. Clearly about a woman tempting another woman and her giving into it. That’s why you see the imagery of angles and demons. Soojin’s character is the temptress and it looks like Minnie and Soyeon give in and are condemned or go to what seems like hell for it. Also if you notice Minnie’s hands throughout the video they start to become black starting from her fingers going all the way up her forearms. Also, the dancers are also covered in black handprints. My theory is(haven’t seen this anywhere else) is that the more she gives into this homosexuality it presents itself as her arms becoming more and more black which is why you’re seeing black hand prints all over the female dancer’s bodies. Also, the Japanese version of this song has its own MV. I actually prefer the Japanese version, especially Soyeon’s rap.
Soyeon is the rapper, she also writes and produces most of their songs including this one. She is the leader of the group. Minnie was the girl at the intro (my bias), she is friends with Blackpink's Lisa, fellow Thai friends. She is the lead vocalist but sometimes her vocals kinda outshine Miyeon. Miyeon is the girl on the throne right before the drop and chorus and is the oldest member, she's the main vocalist, she was supposed to debut with Blackpink. Yuqi is the girl with the deep and husky voice, she's Chinese, she also has the ability to rap. She currently has two solo songs; Giant and Bonnie & Clyde. Soojin is the one with the blonde hair and is the main dancer, she's very shy off stage, she also has good vocals. Shuhua is the youngest, she sang the bridge of the song. She is Taiwanese and had difficulty learning Korean which is why she doesn't have a lot of lines but she's doing better now. She also has 4D personality and madly in love with Soojin. They are all very pro lgbtq+! in soyeon's mv "jelly" she sings about falling in love with a "fox lady" that had a mask on, and it was soojin under the mask, in soyeon's predebut music video "idle song" she wore a jacket that had van's bisexual print, and they all constantly put lgbtq+ lyrics in their songs!

There are a lot of theories about this video, from its MV to lyrics to symbolisms. Other says that it could be forbidden/toxic love, lgbt love, or even have biblical meaning/story. But no one knows the REAL meaning behind it. And this was due to SOYEON's (rapper,leader,writer) genius. When SOYEON wrote this song, as well as other songs for their 3rd album called "I-TRUST", she said that the "SHE" on this specific song can be filled by the audiences whatever they think the meaning is. SOYEON said to TRUST our own judgement, feelings, and choices on whatever it maybe. She also said that when she wrote the songs, she wanted to give a vague meaning to all aspects of it,, and left the audiences asking "What was the writer thinking when she wrote this?" and "What does she meant by this?", and so on. Connecting to this, SOYEON also said that trusting and giving trust can be both difficult since trust ties with lie and truth. This is the concept of their 3rd album I-TRUST, having 2 versions the LIE(white) and TRUE(black), as lies can be shown for you to trust others easily, and truth can be hidden since others may don't like it.

So if they say "Gee - Idol" to us in English, it's perfectly fine for us to call them "Gee - Idol" in English. I am always interested to see everyone's take on (G)I-Dle's flavor of music, since they don't fit the norm. As far as this song goes, the most interesting take on the explanation could be found on 15KIM's youtube channel.
