No matter how many great looking watches there are, for me you just can't beat the versatility and reliability of a good G-Shock square and they are just SO damn comfortable to wear. Just knowing its always accurate definitely adds to its appeal, for me.
@@HomerIncognito Can't say I've ever had that issue bad enough that it bothers me, but then i don't really use the alarms, chrono or timers so rarely need to use the buttons. I agree though that they should be a LOT more accessible though and a LOT bigger.
I picked up the GMW-B5000-1 about a year ago, and I couldn’t be more pleased with it. The display is clear, crisp, and the watch feels good on the wrist.
I own this one and love it. Super supple strap and the positive display. I also have the silver metal on composite and wear it a ton too. The advantage these have is that they're lighter and super comfortable. I really believe any of the GMWB5000 watches are the ultimate G Shock, though. You literally can't go wrong.
I've got one of these too, and like you, love it. It's the best square for me. I have two bezels for it that I switch out every couple months or so, a regular uncoated stainless steel one, and a DLC one from the limited edition 'porter' model. I sold off the original black IP bezel. EDIT to add - I did also change out the metal keeper for a resin keeper.
Have one of these and love it. As you said, very hard to find. BlueTooth synching and white backlight are big plusses in my opinion. Excellent G-Shock.
I have this very same model and I decide to mod him with the DLC bezel and J&K Nato straps and put on him a paratrooper elastic strap with the Bond color variation. One of my most complimented G - Shocks.
@@aliveli-hq6zk Your comment is weird. The OP states that he replaced the bezel and bracelet with aged parts. Those are STEEL parts. And you reply, stating that you don’t like the metal case either. That doesn’t make sense..
The 5610 has got to be - for the price - one of the best watches ever made. It's crossed my mind to ditch all my other watches for just square Gshocks 24/7.
I could see an extra $100 for the steel cap and screw on back, but 4.5x as much seems to suggest to me that Casio is more interested in making unique limited editions and charging a lot more for them than just making an incrementally better watch and charge a commensurate price for it. And of all the friends and clients I've got, only one cares about and notices watches.
Great watch! So basically this is now the GMWB5000EH-1 (Eric Haze) without the metal bracelet...I got the Eric Haze one and I may want to switch it up with a regular resin strap sometimes as its easier on the wrist, can you tell me which straps fit? (or any regular one fits...) Thanks!!
Beautiful piece, love the half metal factor to the classic sqaure look. However, does it scratched easily? Would the silver party beneath the black coating expose upon scratch?
Rob which version had the “carbon” strap? I don’t think it was carbon was it carbon fiber? It was racing related I think - can that carbon strap be found and put on the metal one shown here ?
Hey Rob slight random question. I just bought the GW-5000U. Can I put the combi on it and which version do you recommend? I believe there is a version 1 and version 2.
I have the non "U" 5000 with the older combi that I recommed, really solid feel. It will fit but it is very tight. New combi has more plastic feel or that I have heard.
Still loving my green metal despite it having a module no better than the basic $40 model. At over $150 it was a serious chunk of change but the metal is awesome, and even the resin strap is premium compared to all the cheap versions.
