Mate your not wrong, this is a good looking and even better performing board. The price is so cheap but the quality is at Booster level. Absolutely incredible!!

The Zealot will be even more amazing , plus bigger battery which is awesome

I was almost going to go with the Exway Flex riot but after seeing reviews on the Zealot I didn't want anything to do with Exway. Plus I hear Backfire is working with cloud wheels for the Zealot. Haha yea it’s one of those hills that steeper then it looks, and is long. As far as range I’m doing the proper range test this weekend, that 20km was achieved with mostly turbo engaged so I would expect at lest 30 km will wait and see this weekend, I’ll bring it to your hill three and we can test it out ? @@scottdaviesyoutube High Scott, i would think 30km range is a little optimistic for a 100kg rider. Maybe a 75-85k rider will reach that type of range if cruising steady away.

Yea man I’m 100kg as well. Yea I think you’ll get 20km range. It’s got the 21700 cells it’s a great battery 🔋 I’ll be filming a range test soon. Watch this space

Hi mate it’s a great question , both boards are good. Personally I would go the G3. This is based two points. (1) bigger and better battery (2) way better and smoother wheels. The 96mm wheels on the G3 are incredible

I have been riding my new G3 for couple of weeks now and I got range of 24 miles on full charge. I couldn’t believe it so I tested the range the second time and got 24 miles again. I kid you not. I only weigh 140 pounds and ride mostly in sport mode. Super quiet motor.

Hello mate Both are good the G3 has a lot more flex The riot is ok but a little short Really depends on your weight and height Can I recommend 1 other board that i absolutely love, check out the Tynee Ulta It’s an a amazing board good parts good service

Hi mate, the cloud wheels will go on the flex very easy and yes Exway have built their own quality pully. As for the Abec 11s on the 3X I can only assume they will fit but due to the shape of the deck, they would get a lot of wheel bite. If you compare the shape of the flex and 3X the wheel cut outs are huge compared to 3X Cheers Scott

P.s my production Flex arrives in 2 weeks with Cloud wheels so watch out for that

Hi mate, thanks for the comment. From order to delivery it was about 12 days. The backfire guys said I was luckily and it can take up to 20 days just due to the complexity around big batteries 🔋

ah man that's like asking to chose a favorite child. Your right each has its ups and downs (well actually there are not many downs esp at this price point. really comes down to do need/want Hub (Whisper quite) but cant change the wheels or Riot (Jet Plane scream) but can change /upgrade all 4 wheels. The G3+ is a little longer and had a higher top speed. The Exway has its smart battery but the G3 is using top notch cells (21700 in a 12S configuration) ..... After writing all this down I would do the G3+. purely based on the Battery, Customer Service, and the fact that its already out and there are no known issues. Hope this helps in some way Let me know what you choose, Just to really not help, have you looked at the Verreal RS (Amazing also and under $700usd at the moment with code) Cheers Scott

@@scottdaviesyoutube Thanks Scott, I know it feels like a terrible decision and I hate asking anyone but since your a fellow country man I thought I'd pick your brain. The verreal is nice but the deck just doesn't do it for me. As far as value for money it's the clear winner no doubt, I still have not completely rulled it out as I know I could transfer the gear over to a new deck later if really needed. Appreciate the input as you clearly see the pros and cons in the same light. 👍👍👍

Hi mate, there are in stock and ready to roll. So it all comes down to shipping, that can be anywhere from 3-8 weeks I think backfire are doing ok and last I heard it was around the 4week mark. I just got a exway flex in 9 days (not sure how) must have been a perfect storm of event. Lol cheers

You can actually put the g3 plus parts on the g3. I have the g3 plus motors on my g3.

Hi Markus 100% no it’s actually con-caved not convex it’s the power wire that runs between the battery and esc and the deck has a routed path so the wire is in the deck. And covered by some strong tape then with the Griptape. Hope that helps

King1 Ny hi mate, great choice !! Just re pair the remote to the board. Turn everything off Hold board power button until the light flashes fast Then hold the power button on remote for about 6 seconds it will then repair and let you choose kph or mph Let my know how you get on

Hey mate, I don’t mind at all. I usually mentioned it in every video, I’m currently 98kg and 6ft tall. I was worried about the flex. But didn’t bottom out once.

@Frost Bite HI Frost Bite, great question, I thought the same so I grabbed my Exway X1 and put the hubs on (as the riot is not that carvy) and put it to the test, at 10,15 & 30 i felt the G3 carved better and smoother (could be due to the bounce of the deck assisting the board back to the center. BUT above 35kph I found the Exway inspired more confidence and i had a wider carve. Hope that helps, I might make a video over the Xmas break on it !! Cheers Scott

Frost Bite yea that’s a good assessment. I went for a jog last night around Manly Beach this is currently my favourite board the cells are amazing and the power curve is perfect. But yea if you want to be carving quite hard and with confidence about 35 the plus could be the go.

Mate it had the power, but the DECK, would be a little too flexy. Look at the TRX from Lycaon, it’s a full carbon, and is good for up to 150kg

Totally the BEASTBOARD, Great deck great motors great esc Check out my video it’s a massive surprise how good it is . Only watch out would Be the wheels, at 120kg you might want to put a nice set of evolve 97s or even a set of 100mm boas that would make the board INSANE

The Wowgo 3X is more inline with the Backfire Zealots, iv heard good things 3X but the Zealot in my opinion is better. The G3 is still my favourite hub board, smooth and powerful and silent. Hope that helps a little

Nocturnal Hunter hi mate besides riding over a bloody tomato sauce packet and covering the underneath it’s perfect. The hubs are still perfect the deck still looks new. I’m away this weekend and hoping to film a comprehensive range test on it. It’s truly the best hub board iv ever ridden. The fit and finish is so far above Ownboard and Meepo it’s not even funny. The G3 is king of the hubs !!

All depends how you ride it and look after it. Mine is still like new but I only ride it once a week

Hi mate great questions, I actually have two that I recommended for that price point and it all depends on the rider. If you want sleek, quite and beautifully built then use the G3 is the way to go. If you want a more torque, and noise and the ability to customise like Wheels. Etc then you can go past the VESTAR V2 Pro Awesome board with a great esc and nice deck Hope that helps

SCOTT DAVIES ESK8 & TECH REVIEWS that really really helps I appreciate the response. What other boards could you reccomend on an even lower budget. £450 for the G3 would be my very max. I'm wanting a board that's comfy but also quiet so I'm leaning to hub boards with thick urethane. I'm a longboarder but never have I had an electric longboard. I know the G3 can reach 28 mph but I have no gauge as to how fast I'll actually be traveling and I heard most people never ever get to that speed anyway which makes me want to prioritize torque a little more (making me slightly interested in belt boards). Is the torque good on the G3? Give me all the information you have! You have no idea how much I appreciate this

@@matthewjsherman The Torque is one of the best iv felt on a hub board that and the X1 Pro from Exway. in my option though you cant beat a good belt drive, The V2Pro is $599 or $699 with a bigger battery but i just looked on their website and they have a 10% code OFF10. Check out my review on the V2 Pro in the channel, as far as other boards sub this price..... you really loose alot of the good stuff like quality ESC or Good motors etc not to mention after sales service,

@@scottdaviesyoutube My main concern is falling. I'm 55. Does everyone usually fall or just the ones who like to go faster than 22 MPH. I don't plan on carving much. I just want to enjoy a smooth ride without risking my wheels sliding out from me while carving. Do you think people who ride carefully at 20-22 MPH without carving are usually able to avoid falling?

The fall is something you plan to happen and hope it never does. Reasons for a fall can be user error, board error, speed wobbles and obstacles etc. Just start easy, build your speed, wear some pads and have fun, Biggest tip. Don’t try and go flat out at first

This is the first backfire board I have ever reviewed and unlike a lot of reviewers (1) I don’t get paid (2) I say no to affiliate codes. Yes they sent me the board to review but i make it very clear to them that it’s my option and if it’s crap I’ll say it’s crap. and I really take offence to you saying it’s “fake” Thank for watching Scott

Its honestly a good board. My only downsides are the charging ports are very flimsy and if you ride in turbo and like to ride fast it only gets to 12 to 13 miles of range. But you can buy spare battery on there website so it's not to bad
