@OP: you miss two features of the world time mode: when in world time mode, you can press and hold "reset" button" (lower right) to set the timezone to UTC, and if you press and hold the center left button, it swap the time zones between the 2 modes world time and normal time.
@@WatchGeek same here. Never knew this much options are packed in this one. However in mine pressing the left side button or scrolling the crown doesnt take me to the timer screen. Is it that the watch is faulty or any settings need to be switched On for that shortcut to work?
I had the battery changed in my watch a little while ago and I couldn't get the analogue to match the digital time so I watched a different vid on how to do it and still couldn't do it , but now I've watched your video i did it in literally 1 minute thank you very much mate
Masterful!!”Thank you!!” Just received my 1st G Shock Skelton series GA400SK.. Adhered to your advice and listened and observed from beginning to end..” Got it wrist ready and ready to rock!!” 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Excellent reviews and tutorials! I am very glad that I found this wonderful channel. Started collecting Casio watches a few months ago. Thank you for helping me enjoying my new hobby! All the best whishes André
This thing looks absolutely stellar. I always liked the white and blue/black color combination for a lot of accessories and stuff like that and this one was just begging to be part of my collection. Paid about $145 for it on Amazon and I'm chomping at the bit for it to come in the mail. I honestly scooped it up mostly because it reminded me of my favorite set of playing cards, the Bicycle Prestige deck. They're made out of a slightly more luxury material than most bicycle decks and are adorned with a nice white and blue design on the back that just screams, well, Prestige. I know I'll probably look like a hipster wearing this thing but honestly I don't care. It looks banging and I can't wait to slap it on my wrist like a baller.
Fuhhh...your video really helped and relief me...i thought the small dial not only worked for timer countdown but for stopwatch too..!! I nearly thought my newly just received watch was fake till i watched u explained. Tq man.
I bought this as my first G Shock. The set up procedure might be lengthy, It's pretty straight forward especially (for me) the date since it was basically given as the right date, just changed it by a day. I didn't try out the rest of the functions during certain activities since it's vacation. I like this watch so far for the $72 price tag on it in Amazon... Oh yeah, the Date is basically impossible to see at night even with the light since the main light is on the bottom and not the tip, though the actual time is not a problem to see with the light or not... Except when the it's night time, the hands for the most part will probably block the small screen by a little (the small hand will be on the 6 at 6:00pm which directly imposes on the small screen and It's usually dark by that time in the winter). The hands are clear tough and I usually only need to see the date once to remember it, which is usually done in the morning... Also a complaint on the World time. It's useless for me for the most part since there aren't any significant cities that interests me other than Boston, which is my main time. But I'm sure it would be important during international travel... that is if the Time Code is installed on the watch in the first place. The list might seem long but know it doesn't have everywhere like Boston... Eh, whatever I still like it. It's not perfect but it will do until I get something better... If you do Gang-related activities in the Ally or work out in the darkness of the night, this watch is not for you. But in the day, it's alright...
thank you very much for your guidance video on setting time in this watch model, it was really helpful..The only thing I don't like is the light.. you can hardly see any digits/numbers
Spot on with the Stormtrooper reference, exactly what went thru my mind! Great time zone features, 48 cities is impressive. Does dirt clean easily off the white?
Thanks for sharing. I learned more about my 5600 then from anywhere. It’s like a new watch. You say this one is inexpensive but it sells for $100 on Amazon?
It is a cool little inspirational documentary and all. I just wish it was instructions on my watch, the Casio G-Shock 5229/GA201 if it were that I would just B extactic!!@$$
thanks for the video ! love the watch but white colour made me think again to pull the trigger because its a real pain to remove stains. Anyone knows how to remove stains from the white case and bands?
I had mine for a few years and i cant find out how to set the timer to seconds instead of minutes. I want to set it at 30 seconds timer but it only allows me to go minute by minute. Any clue?
It's a good watch but it misses out on important features. 1) it has stopwatch of 1/100 sec 2) its countdown timer can only be set to 1 hour. 3) it has plastic buckle instead of a metal one. I said it misses out on these features because gshocks that are cheaper than this has all three features mentioned above. But it looks cool ngl. Its the one I have.
Hands are synced to the digital time, it is LITERALLY THE FIRST THING I EXPLAIN IN THE TUTORIAL PART OF THE VIDEO! Check out the Hands Home Position in the table of contents
