brazil's observation about mainoo is more accurate than gabby's. mainoo has always had problems with chasing back on counterattacks, even from the beginning. just watch when he gets caught up the pitch and they turn the ball over. you can see him trying, but he just doesn't cover the ground well. so he won't ever be a world class shuttler. if they plan to build a midfield around him they will need to balance it out with more athletic players with better defensive awareness and positioning.

Still makes me laugh the people that criticise Onana constantly. As a Forest fan I can say that we have conceded far fewer chances this season than Manchester United and our defenders have been largely exceptional (Murillo and Williams in particular). Yet we have conceded 63 goals. Why? Because the two goalkeepers we started the season with weren't good enough (and have both been dropped). We are now on our third goalkeeper of the season who, mercifully, has done pretty decent between the sticks. The only reason Manchester United haven't conceded about 70 or 80 goals is because Onana's propped up your shoddy defending. Yes he makes the odd mistake but so did De Gea when he first joined and he went on to become your saviour in many lacklustre seasons too.

He was considered one of the best 10 midfield players in the world. he's missed 17 games this season with Injury and is playing in a side ravaged with injuries, playing center back.
