Gabe is autistic and nonverbal! His therapist Kiana takes him to do different activities for two hours each week. He has recently started to enjoy bowling!
His bonus mom and I decided to take him to the local bowling alley that he has been to with Kiana. He was so happy!
Gabe loves loud and exciting places, this was the perfect activity for our family!
First we started by using the ramp but eventually Gabe took it upon himself to try bowling without it! We were shocked and so proud of him for trying it his own way! He made so much progress in just an hour. He was paying attention to where the bowling ball ended up and seemed proud of himself with each try!
Afterwards we headed to the arcade! Gabe learned how to play ski ball for the first time and even succeeded in making one in at the very end! It was an awesome feeling to see him do so well! Even just trying is a huge accomplishment! Later we shot hoops in the arcade which was my favorite part of the afternoon! Stay tuned for that video!
