I hope you know how you and your wife's work is loved even to this day! Because of you and Jane Jensen, I have traveled to New Orleans and Germany and hope to one day visit Rennes-le-chateau! I am interested in my German heritage as well as anything involving voodoo or New Orleans, and am probably the only person ever to visit New Orleans during Mardi Gras and care only about the Gabriel Knight locations and not the parades or bars!!
I'd like to see a remastered version where the video and audio has been reworked. Gameplay, puzzles etc. stays the same, but just a touch-up to take the audio and video to the modern levels. Edit: The better audio and video really makes this masterfully made scene even better. I'm honestly surprised at how great it is in general, from an FMV video-game at that. Most of them weren't exactly the best in terms of directing and acting, but Jane Jensen has fucking mad 1337 skillz when it comes to video games.
Sadly they spent 10x for time and money on producing this opera than they did in the final wolf chase sequence of the game! the ending 3rd act is SO great and it seems a shame the wolf puzzle ruins it in multiple ways. Just watched the Nextlander playthrough, what a gem of FMV
according to the credits, yes he also composed the opera sequence. And the main game designer/ writer also wrote the Libretto ( opera dialogue). Love this team, apparantly they were married? the piano sequences, especially in the Ritter castle, are so perfectly cheezy yet lovely.
