I have stayed 214/216A (?) Gabula Road , Jinja & studied in Senior Secondary School, Jinja, I have vivid memory of Odean Cinema, the lake Victoria pier, the big temple, the Ajip Petrol Station on Kampala Road, North Road Primary School, Oh I loved Jinja & miss Jinja ! I am now 72 & settled in India !!👍👍👍
Oh wow, I grew up on Gabula road, diagonally across from the fire station. Gabula road has changed a bit from when i last saw it in August 1980. I went to school at VNS and then Jinja Senior Secondary School. Had tons of friends on Gabula road and Rippon Graden area. Thanks for putting up this video. Brings back a lot of memories for me.
Thank you for the tour of Gabula Rd. I was 16yrs of age when I lived there. It was a majestic road of all the roads of Jinja. In the evening it was bustling with young boys and girls came out to walk up and down the road trying to secretly hookup. The rich boys sped their Chevys to impress the girls. It was nice to see again but really sad to see what happened to this beautiful road. You just didn’t show my house which was on the right just 2nd before the turn into Rippon Garden. There were no businesses on this road in 60s. Most have become unrecognisable. But still thank you.
