Guardian Tales. The game definitely deserves much more attention. It's probably one of the very few gacha games where story is one of the strongest cores.
I would say Nikke is quite F2P friendly as long as you don’t pull for dupes or bad Nikkes. Freebies aside, you get a lot of gems passively from dailies, events, and game modes like tower. On the other hand if you are a spender Nikke can get expensive because purchasing gems cost a lot relative to other games.
I was about to make this comment. Im a day1 F2P, and the only Nikkes I dont have are ones that aren't good, which I didn't even pull for. Going into this summer event, I have 60k crystals(with a ton of crystals left to farm) and 550 gold tickets. If you do your dailies and don't try to pull on every banner(since you don't need to thanks to how the standard banner works), the game is very generous and easy to enjoy as F2P.
@@royraven2186 Same day 1 F2P 'well ok I did buy 1 skin but that hardly makes a difference..' I'm missing 8 Nikkes in total like some of the meh collab/event limiteds that I wasn't interested in. I did pull for some 'bad' Nikkes tho cause I liked their design/assets like most recently Clay. 'got her in 20 pulls so no real losses' Still got around 50k Gems+10 special tickets saved up for summer and 570 Golden tickets so I should be fine for single copies at least. I also have 5 full decent teams built for Solo Raids at this point so ye the game is completely doable/enjoyable as a F2P with some resource management and patience but that goes for most gachas anyway.
Apart of one season pass (Rappi winter outfit) i havent spent anything in NIKKE, and could say im around90% of having all characters, and have main team made of Crown, Red Hood, Marian and bunny sisters. I was locked in Mother Whale boss for a quite while, but only becasue i didnt realise you can get t10 gear by clearing fully Interception EX, i always did it on auto, so that was fully on me.
I play : 1. Path to Nowhere (My favorite) 2. Honkai Star Rail 3. Snowbreak Containment Zone 4. Reverse 1999 5. Wuthering Waves 6. Aether Gazer 7. Brown Dust 2
@@kocho17shinobu It would become daily chore if i don't enjoy it.💪 Fortunately, each of them doesn't even take 10 Minutes each on average, and i could totally be AFK for some of them.
@@аняВитявич i used to play it, but i don't really like how the story was told despite how amazing the combat is, it's almost like reading a novel, the same reason i stop playing Arknight, no voice line, there's not much 'emotion' in the scarce amount of voiceline either. It's a shame, i even have all of the OP charac' like Bianca, Hyperreal Lee and Crimson Weave Alpha.
Neural cloud needs more love Their character design is one of the top best especially their 3d chibis Very f2p friendly and a lot of fan service like AL Mc literally have cannon seggs with one of their dolls (and u can oath both male & female characters) 🗿 Tomorrow they will drop their 1st collab Stein Gates! CANT WAIT FOR IT!

I appreciate the shoutout for Guardian Tales, and as for why it's not that popular it released around the same time as Genshin Impact which was before the gacha boom and has had little to no marketing in the past 3 years which led to it being massively overshadowed. It also does show new players a ton of things early on which might lead to them feeling overwhelmed. This led to a relatively small but appreciative audience and Kakao really cooked the game nicely for many types of players. How far have you gotten in the story and on your account?
Stix, thank you for your effort. I enjoy your videos and are one of the main sources for me to decide what gatcha games play, try or continue playing. Keep the good work.
Was in the nikke beta and played since launch kept logging in grinding logging in, grinding, login do dailies login do dailies and have over 300,000 power and almost have all nikkes but 5 and the ones that came out, and having friends will help on the friendship banner! Its a MUST, and the standard banner to helps, the friendship banner is fucking GOATED I've gotten many legendaries off friendship and also the revise wishlist helps with those units you missed, Pilgrims are the most broken units, by default they can even get 40 friendship levels as well in reputation, i save all my gems just for Pilgrim because Pilgrims don't end up in the standard banner but every nikke ends up in the standard banner even those bunny girls so with enough login and doing events and then doing campaign when you have the time, as a f2p it makes you feel achieved because there's a perfect balance to earning those characters in fun ways, the thing that is kinda bullshit is the interception rates for Pilgrim gear 😭😭😭💢 and just pull on the limited banners like the Christmas and Collaboration events and Pilgrims and thats all and fish for those missed characters through the wishlist on the standard and friendship banner as well and you'll eventually be op and have multiple meta teams after 2 years 😭 it took a year and a half to just be this goated and still going 💪🏻
OH Pilgrim gear is pain .... Have no clue how i managed to get Crown in full t10 :D Red Hood needs helmet, becasue i used it on Marian, and when was unlocking t10's i didnt notice XD so i have RH with missing helmet and Marian with only helmet as t10 XDDD
The gachas i still actively play are PGR, Genshin (currently taking a break), Wuwa (ran out of content) and Another eden, Another eden has so much content and is such a long game i swear its like a never ending jrpg, it has some of the best stories i've seen in a gacha game and also some of the most insufferable too, so you need patience with this game. The Wanderers in the Vortex arc was legit some of the best writing i've seen in ANY gacha.
I love Guardian Tales, there's not many games out there like it in terms of gameplay, and i find their sense of humor and all the easter eggs hilarious. Currently playing Solo Leveling Arise, Star Rail, and Watcher of Realms. What was the gameplay in the opening monologue (after the skit) that looked sick!
@@baffometti Dunno i like story and artwork is unique. And the long gaps between events let you farm materials enough to always be ahead of new stuff. And you have time for other games.
Guardian Tales mentioned! man.. this game absolutely need more love because they deserved it. But kinda understandable tho, the pixel style rpg aren't for everyone.
Seriously, not Guardian Tales. It's good at beginning, but it get old fast, with painful daily. There is a good reason why the player retention is low, even with/after console release. Don't get tricked by the unique, funny, and casual look of the game. Also, the fun part, the PVP, is a huge p2w, where you need be up to date with the latest meta. (AND LOSING IS NOT FUN, ESPECIALLY IF PLAYER IS AWARE IT IS BECAUSE OF POWER LEVEL ISSUE) Finally, the bloating stats and huge gap between players means that, you are often disconnected with other content creator or peers. In a stage where you complain its hard, other will say "gid gud, it's easy" But if you pay attention, it's rarely a skill issue. It's your perma "BOOK" stats (Progress in the perma stats is heavily time-gated and requires TONS of premium currency). The p2w friendly aspect, is also a lie, since with f2p you can't keep up with the pvp meta, nor have satisfactory pulls. You can bully casuals with that, but never the serious players. Finally, by f2p, it took 1 months to raise ONE SINGLE new unit to USABLE standard and another 1 month for decent optimization. This means, when you pull a new character that you want, it's going to sit in the bench for at least 1 month (2 months if you want it to perform to its expectation), unless of course, you pay them $. TLDR; It's badly designed game. They feel generous for newbie experience and for old players, but it is very2 harsh on new players starting their endgame.
@@DisIngRaM did you really play guardian tales cause it just took me 2 months to complete 100% everything f2p and there is not any pressure to the game since it was casual game. yes you cant rush story cause you need to build the team first but the dev is very generous giving a lot of boost . the p2w part doesnt even mean anything because why the hell you compete on story based game. it hards for me to find another game that give the climax story like guardian tales right now probably later sword of convallaria can give good story and gameplay
@@Everywhere08 Yes I did, for 1 year. If you read properly, it's never about completing things,. Yes I know... it's a wall of text, since my realtionship with GT is already becoming a hate, take it as me venting for wasting 1 year at it. I don't want to argue with you. Just know this, "There are good reason why player retention is low, and why many are quitting upon entering endgame."
Genuinely haven't played anything for while now, I just scroll through internet, Burn out is hard, But once i got a new phone, Maybe i will start new gacha primarily WuWa, have account since day 1 to bank rewards. Also Obligatory, IS THAT GUARDIAN TALES!!!????
feels the same brother, im more exploring the World building, the devs really did a great work, every time i caught myself exploring the apocalyptic scenarios, love this open world .
nah if you're at home play on emulator don't use your phone. You will ruin battery fast. Buy a cheap, second-hand pc for under $500 and you can run almost every mobile game on high graphic setting just fine
I hope you consider checking or revisiting these games to see if you can include them to your year end list -Snowbased:Coomtainment Zone -Brown Dust 2 -Aether Gazer -Solo Leveling Arise These games are actually doing really good right now.
Not must plat or the best of their ownright tho , actually all of those are pretty mid i'd say but in a list where Azur Lane is on it just because of horny...
Right now, i do Solo Leveling, PGR and WuWa! But still mainly PGR! And PGR was my first gatcha so when 50/50 in AG hit twice, I quit playing it! Same with HSR(tho i will devinitely play for the story only)! So I'll see what WuWa brings me in the future! Right now, it doesn t look so bright! If I am unlucky, even with all the pulls they will throw at us in the future, I might not even be able to get Changli! We'll see! I really hopeeveryone will be lucky, including me, but it s hard to tell! Also used all my luck in PGR and No. 21 and weapon both in 10 pulls
how can their be any dislikes on ur videos? one of the best overall content creators out there who is cultured yet informative, also yea sucks about the NIKKE videos being demonitized anotehr creator i watched seems to not do them as much cuz none of the videos ever stay monetized cuz they are waaaaay to cultured for youtube standards lol i been enjoying NIKKE ever since its release cuz it released on my birthday, the perfect gift for a degenerate >:D
Not sure starting the video off with over a minute of a random skit, then going on about how well one of your videos did is a great way to prove you are a good content creator.
This next month is nuts for games. Not just gachas, thought adding ZZZ to my already busy gaming schedule with WuWa and Snowbreak would be enough on it's own. I'm also really enjoying the Warframe update with it's rework, and then we're also adding in The First Descendent and Once Human...plus Warfame's got all the Tennocon stuff and Snowbreak's first anniversary is coming up...sure, sure, first world problems. Too much to do isn't the worst thing in the world, it's true!
Warframe isn't a gatcha game , and why is everyone sleeping on genshin like they forgot that the game is actually fun , just bc they didn't give u free 5*
@@ahmadhazem1507 Neither is Once Human. I included those because they are further demands on my time, that's all. I haven't played Genshin for a good couple of years, which is why you won't find me posting about it one way or another. I wasn't entirely ftp, either, but as much I liked it, it got to the point where levelling up new characters was more chore for me than anything else, so I just kind of drifted away.
@Koudmaker i hate that that exists. Ur telling me my absolutely JACKED on hit rate (effectiveness? I forget what the stat is called, haven't played since Belian came out) missed the debuff 3 turns in a row? Nah. That's right up there with the enemy Charles countering 5 turns in a row in gw.
Nah, this game is the perfect definition of pretty packaging but empty inside. The characters are gorgeous but that's it. Agree with other comments here, game's super boring.
Azur Lane has one of the best resource management system of gacha games. There's a lot of ways to get what you want. After your fleets are upgraded, then you upgrade other ships just to have some variety, or out of curiosity. The gameplay is ok. Manual is slightly better than auto. And the stats and skills are good. Studying or researching for good compositions is another cool thing too.
Not sure if many have heard of this game but brave frontier is honestly the only gacha game that i want to play. Ever since it closed down over a year ago, there has been an itch i cannot scratch. I really hope another game like it comes out since brave exvius and lost cloudia really dont do it for me
I am here to give u a small feedback about guardian tales if u ask me in simple words, this game is hidden gems that not many people know about. The story of this game is surprisingly so Good and engaging with so many references of movies, games, animies etc tho the story starts with light mood but as u further progress the story simply gets very interesting and things take serious turns. It is very ftp friendly specially for new to late mid players. Idk how to explain more about the game but it's very good and worth to try it. 😊
Still playing FGO, Genshin, HSR, Nikke, Blue Archive and WuWa. Probably dropping WuWa soon though, there isnt really anything thats keeping me playing.
Disagree with Nikke not being f2p friendly. I play since release and maybe I'm just lucky i don't know? But i always thought it was very f2p friendly, i have every NIKKE ever released and am able to do all content and can somewhat even compete in PvP usually being top 10 in both the brackets. They give tons of free pulls, way more than games like HSR/WuWa for example which are still some of the most stingy gachas out there and they have a 4% summon rate for SSR's in the banners.
@@Stixxy unlucky, the only time i spent money was for the $50 Dorthy and Modernia skins, had to skip the crown skin cause it was too close to Modernia xD
@@chakaraninjaltc pity is 200 but carries over. Doesnt reset with each new banner like Blue Archive. And like i said the base SSR rate is 4% on banners which is higher than most other gachas
What mobile gatcha games work well for standing around at work at the amazon warehouse where I can often pull my phone out, but might either have to put it away shortly afterwards? Sometimes I’ll have a bit longer to stay on it, but I would be on my feet standing up. It’s not like I’m sitting down chilling. Any recs?
AL events today are good.. you can actually used maximum of 30 ships/5 fleets to clear the EX. Im happy i can used all i barely used UR ships now in my docks. ALso BLue archive is kinda Hard if you actually want to clear TA's GA's to get pyrox but is actually good
Right I'm actively playing only a AFK journey. It's only game which I do enjoy log in DAILY. HSR felt like chores to me after playing since lunch so I drop it. Each day I keep losing interest with Wuwa. I drop Arknights bcs this game getting overloaded with characters. On top of that it lacks good system to farm resources daily (like multi stage auto play).
I play NIKKE actively and I started playing Starrail on my ps5 because I pulled Jingliu on a single when she came out and just pulled Ruan Mei . So this account is worth it 😂. Withering waves I play .. it’s pretty cool .
PGR, WuWa, Reverse 1999, Path To Nowhere, Blue Archive and Genshin. I won't add any new gacha game anymore. Have tried Arknight but it give me bad experience as someone who love story-telling. I dropped it. Have played Nikke it was good but I just doesn't not feel like click to move here and there was no sweep function in story. So I also dropped it. About to drop BA also due to level req to push through story is understandable but hit you with level require is 65 while your sensei level 40 was really turn my mood off. Snowbreak was alright but the gameplay was too short and I'm okay with the fan service but they like do it in cringe way and for sometime I did droped it to.
What Gacha has the best co-op experience? Co-op that's both fun and actually impactful in helping your profile out, etc.? Or is that not really a thing?...
I have no clue why tf nikke is just so much more expensive than every gacha I play Haven’t heard of path to nowhere so I might try it cuz I liked the look of that one
From the source that i heard (can't remember from who tho) the reason why the game doesn't get enough popularity was due to having: 1. Niche gameplay, not many love tower defense but for those who love it, they might have lots of fun time. 2. More matured / manhwa semi realistic artstyle which might not click with everyone 3. Poor marketing. Not sure why didn't they push hard trying to market it. They are willing to spend their moneg on hiring good eng va tho. Maybe they want to cater only to those who is willing to become their loyal fans and not just anybody. Maybe. I heard that it is one of few gacha that have a very good storytelling albeit quite dark. Haven't play it so far bcoz im preoccupied with other games atm. But if given chance, i might want to try it. I keep hearing lots of good thing about the game.
Still play BlueArchive daily because it takes like only 5 mins to clear dailies 🤣🤣🤣 very time efficient sweep system Same with Azur Lane barely play a lot due to rerun events I already cleared before only waiting for new units and URs. Its crazy to think I restarted my account 2 yrs ago but managed to nabbed almost all the URs only Vanguard is missing, cmon Vanguard rerun come home to me. These two sidegames are excellent 🤣 I only mained Nikke and HSR. Nowadays its Wuthering Waves.
I adore Guardian Tales' gameplay and concept, sadly, the lack of pity killed it for me. Just doesn't feel very F2P friendly, now that fair pity system and some sort of a guarantee has pretty much became the norm for major gachas.
I just play WuWa and Blue Archive now. I'm on and off with Nikke and Aether Gazer. I'm waiting for ZZZ and Tribe 9. Pre-registered on ZZZ and signed up for closed beta on Tribe 9.
I was not expecting to see quite a few of under the radar games here like guardian tales, blue archive and path to nowhere though I can only speak for blue-archive and path to nowhere which are actually great games
Yangyang and female English va rover are pretty much monotone, they were not given good direction, talked to a few VA and a good director can tell you if you are supposed to act a line for example in a battle and you think your friend died, that no voice line is vastly different if you are just saying no in the middle of a hallway of a building, plus a mixer can bring out their choices more, in saying this as one who now plays wuwa more than my other 5 to 6 gacha games including genshin
guardian tales would probably be more popular if they didn't make the later story mode enemies able to one shot you easilly while also having loads of hp like i play the game and i'm still stuck at story mode because i just have to be perfect or i will litterally get vaporized if i'm hit once and with the new lvl cap they placed on story it's even worse now because beofre i could get some extra lvl above the cap with limit break but now i'm hard capped at being lower than enemies' lvl wich makes it so i need the perfect set of gear and god tier dodging skill because one attack would litterally mean i have to restart the stage or when i'm really close to finishing a boss wasting some gems
you can only rush the first season of the story if you want to complete season 2 i recommend to build your team first but it didnt take really long i manage to complete the game 100% less than 2 months you just need proper build and the story will be easy
@@Everywhere08 i pretty much have 100% in season 1 story and i can say one thing it's pretty easy as long as you're not new to the game if you just starter and like rushed story you'll prolly die a couple times on bosses tho mobs are just easy the problem isn't really with the enemy hps but that they do way too much damage even my tanks ex future princess with shield and sig wep don't last that much
@@rogmingmaster9538 thats why you have to dodge or stun lethal attack if you are really rpg gamer you know its not just about giving or taking dmg but there are a lot of mechanic in the game. and you know fp chain skill are immune to 3 hit if you use it efficiently you can use the immunity to the lethal hit. from my experience the only thing in the game that require really high skill are fighting kaden phase 2 and side story challenge. other thing can be solved with proper strategy even if you are brain dead player
i replace hi3 with zzz bcs after hi3 part 1 i already not interestes, so after zzz just waiting either azur promilia or project mugen in which i set low expectation for project mugen
