Yeah... that's relatable, just like accidentally saying, "...the *amount* of times.." instead of "the *number* of times..." LOL, sorry, forgive me Kyle, I'm just an ol' grammar Nazi🙄
you guys need to put some kinda display instead of the logo hanging there and we just imagine the topic you talking about, i'd love to see articles, videos and laptop screen.. except this all is a good content keep it up Marquess
I agree with Marques on too many button pushes for common functions such as changing AC fan speed. Touch the temperature once and steering wheel scroll wheel should raise/lower it. Voice commands work well for AC adjustments. I am amazed how well the car decides when to go in reverse vs forward. When it can’t decide, it waits for driver’s decision. Controls in my 2017 model S seemed easier to use than in refresh 2021 model.
The good part is the "Auto" on seat heater, which after enabling, i have never changed it, it goes from 3, to 2, to 1 and off and comes back on as needed. It would have been awesome if the seat heater button was on the screen and has 1,2,3,A (for auto) options, but i have never changed it by going into HVAC after this update and putting to Auto. (It also turns off if there is no one on the seat). So i dont mind much of the changes, I feel they have moved in a way that i dont have to use it.
regarding tesla and their screen only controls, It's literally just because they did not want to pay for physical controls with existing component suppliers or RnD them by themselves. 1 giant touchscreen w software is much faster and cheaper to develop than a well engineered set of knobs, buttons, and controls. Think about the cost of mechanical keyboard switches vs a touchscreen keyboard
I thought everything at CES was virtual but it does seem like some people are there in person. It also seems like the larger youtube tech reviewers decided to cover it remotely for the most part. Curious around if there is anything beyond omicron safety (which is very important and I hope this doesn't come off as me making light of it) that lead to this decision and why those that DID go in person don't seem as concerned (that might be an unfair assumption).
Another amazing Podcast guy’s.So hoping that they do bring a Note for sure. Also love the Shirts and need to check them out once the weather gets nice .Thanks so much for the info Deb.💯✌️
I have x2 Samsung Q60s, which I bought on 2020, and they already came with the solar panels on the remotes. It is pretty neat, and as a secondary charging method they can be charged via USB C (only had to use the USB C to charge it when I took it out of the box, afterwards, they have been on or nearly on 100% all the time. One TV is on the terrace and the other on a pretty natural light illuminated room so they charge pretty efficiently with natural light.
The first segment is full of design study gems, even the bad products can be used as something to try to improve into a decent product for a design student like myself
OMG this was soo entertaining whith the guess the fake tech gadget you need to do this in EVERY podcast with new tech products that come out. PLEASE DO THIS
Effectively radio waves and light waves are all just waves… So wouldn’t that make a solar panel and a radio wave power thingy kind of the same technology?
Solar panels only work with high frequency waves because they have enough energy to knock electrons around and cause the photoelectric effect. Radio waves like wifi are too long, I believe it only works for UV. I'd be curious to see what tech is being used to harness the radio waves.
The auto seat heaters in the new Tesla UI 11 is very good. Also Andy Sly need to learn his UI a little more. You can alter the seat heaters in two touches not 6.
My dog heard the fake smart water bowl and was momentarily plotting his revenge for someone trying to rat him out for chugging water once a day and overall not drinking enough throughout the week.
19:15 the smart pet water bowl is actually genius. I own a automatic pet water fountain made by xiaomi and I was super disappointed when I realized it isn’t even app connected and doesn’t have a single smart feature
best budget phones are always the motorola phones. Pick if u want more battery, a note style phone, anything you want for an actual affordability. amazing!
I never liked having the seat heaters at the bottom of my main screen. They were too easy to accidentally hit, which wasn't pleasant in the summer. Now that the "auto" seat heater option is available, I find I never need to touch them, so I'm quite satisfied with the update.
What if in the Tesla they had something similar to a stream deck? As in tactile buttons with screens on them that you could map controls like the heated seat to get to it quickly.
Even a smart watch attached to our arm provides incorrect numbers... There is no way a light bulb fitted 10 ft away from a person to detect a heart rate, considering the environmental noice which differs for everyone....
The galaxy note series is dead and if the Z fold getting S pen support was any indication they’re going to turn the fold line into the note line by integrating the slot and including it in the next version.
Funny that I have the lowest tech car ever (a Renault, doesn't even have Android Auto) but the authomatic wipers are just perfect. I could even accept them removing the stock with how good it works...
Am I the only one who is pretty sure that the finger nibble animal is a spinoff product from the "personal" toy industry or a test to see if it should be made for that industry?
Imagine next Apple Card. Since in 2025 or something Mastercard will no longer use magnetic stripes, so using that extra space to put find my capabilities; that would be dope. Maybe wirelessly charge over the air to charge up instead of using a removable battery(hopefully it would last 6 months or more regardless)
With OnePlus section. The skin will still be called Oxygen OS, but under the hood (the actual code-base) it will be Color OS. It's going to be Color OS with an Oxygen OS coat of paint on it basically. That's more or less what they've said. I'm curious to see how it turns out but not super hopeful. The announced specs sound great and the Hasselblad camera modes (10 bit color on all cams, RAW+ mode, etc) sound great, but we all like OnePlus mainly for Oxygen OS, so if they fumble the Oxygen OS/Color OS merger, i think they might lose me. Might hold onto my OnePlus 9 Pro for a while and keep it on the last proper Oxygen OS. Then either get Pixel 7 Pro later this year or Pixel 8 Pro in 2023 potentially.
It supports Apple’s Find My, so it can be tracked in that app like an AirTag (and in turn utilize the same large network the iPhone uses to find AirTags) as opposed to the more limited tracking network of the Tile.
I don't get how Tesla can have a super wrong number of buttons on the steering wheel. They should have telemetry to see what the average number of buttons people use is and just put that many buttons there.
LOL. 3:15 just realised the remote for my new Samsung TV in fact does have the solar panels on the back. Ducked away from the video to turn it over to get those indoor rays LOL. No idea how much actual light energy is in my bedroom but I guess we'll see.
Model 3 Automatic wipers actually work pretty good! I agree, I'd never been in a car with good auto wipers before my model 3. and with the stock button you can access the settings pretty quick.
Eh where do you live? They never seem to work properly for me. Weather changes relatively often in New England and I always have to correct it. It turns on randomly if there is glare or fog, and doesn’t trigger properly in the rain.
My biggest issue with electric cars (my next car will be electric) is the giant screens and lack of buttons. I hope someone makes something less complicated
22:38 An AI driven faucet would be really hard to make if not impossible. It may see dishes and your hand but how would it know if you're about start washing or you're just putting more in? It may a glass but how would it know if you need cold water to drink or warm/hot water for doing something else? Water containers or different purposes also come in all different shapes and sizes so it would be pretty much impossible to determine what you're doing with it and what tempareture you need for that. The whole concept of no touch faucet inside you're own home seem completely pointless. It's just more difficult and unnecessarily complicated to use and the only people that may use it are people live in the house, so if one of them is infected, everyone else is probably infected as well.
On the topic of Tesla, I think this is my issue I have with Tesla. Cars how to build up a universal system in order for people to operate the cars. It just seems weird to make so many changes like putting everything on it screen in limiting buttons to operate a car. It just changes the learning curve how to operate a car. Like going automatic to manual. I do believe there is such a thing as too many buttons, but we can just limit certain buttons in activities to a standard steering wheel, blinkers, windshield wipers, climate controls etc as tactile buttons like every other car has and other extra amenities can be slapped on into in infotainment center. I also think it's extremely distracting and probably potentially dangerous for drivers to be spending more seconds looking for everyday driving functions on a screen instead of driving into map that into specific buttons it allows drivers to just focus on that saves precious seconds. Buttons are a bit more expensive, but the cars are expensive so why not? Updates are great and it's a good idea to make changes to correct past redundancies, but we don't need to change things that already work. A full steering wheel works, heads-up displays are still pretty new and they've been working. Plus drivers, need more distractions.
For me the UI isn't bad at all, you rarely update those things, they normally stay on all the time. The real question is, why not just add voice commands for these? They're very strait forward commands.
And, if you want to turn on just the heated seats you have to open the hvac stuff (which turns on the hvac) and then turn on the seat. And then turn OFF the rest of the hvac. Really silly.
The iOS Find My integration is the big seller for the card they mentioned. I’m not quite sure how they can differentiate their product from Tile unless they include the full proximity feature that other Apple products have. If it doesn’t allow for pinpoint tracking and directions like AirTags then it’ll just be an off brand Tile card
iPhone had the best camera...? Must have watched zero camera comparisons and/or been blinded when doing them on your own like... What... My sister in laws even agreed my S21U and now Pixel 6 Pro took better pictures than their 12 Pro and now 13 Pros.... My brother in law even agreed S21U video is better than his 13 Pro when comparing them at Christmas. Like. I don't understand. I'm the one they always call on to take pictures and make sure to send them my videos for that reason. Then MKBHD is out here saying iPhone was the best... I'm lost.
why doesn't this channel or the main channel dont cover Dell XPS laptops for CES 2022, this is biased towards Apple products only and only to the elite viewers
Rivian nailed a single touchscreen car interior UI. Bottom row is reserved for the things that people use all the time. Elon is going to run Tesla in the ground.
