If you are back in NYC and you are looking for a similarly fancy experience but without the well snobbery you are mentioning from many top French restaurants, I'd highly recommend Gabriel Kreuther.
Of all the fine dining restos/chefs that you have covered, gaggan’s is one I would most like to eat at! Seems like alinea but with even better food and less pretense
Fine dining in most places does not feel like a fun experience . The food might be great but the atmosphere at most posh places is just too stuffy . I like place like this which serve awesome food in a fun casual atmosphere ,
WOW! What an inspiring restaurant! But I find the interior very ugly. Except for the glass roof, it looks like on of my fav. cheap restaurants near the Chung Nanci sky train. It looks like a greenhouse extension. I understand why he wants to re-model or move. Anyway, Thanks for the video! I always enjoy your WBS series. The next time you are in Thailand, you should come on down to Ko Samui for some seafood. It might not be the world's greatest, but it is plentiful. And it would be great to meet one of my favorite RU-vidrs!
Now that's what is called reap progressive cusine and the real enigma unlike Barcelona that you were in 😅 I'm proud to be Indian and a chef and just like Gagan says, I will too, food is porn and I'm the porn star 🌟😎
Evan Hindle I honestly feel like you’re paying for the hype of the restaurant , I was planning to check this place out on my next holiday in Bangkok but apparently the chef closed down the location.
@@marcotheexplorer5847 well it isn't hype haha. You're paying to have one of the best eating experiences in the world and the many hours of training and prep required to execute it
Evan Hindle that’s a bold statement considering how unprepared the owner was using a guitar amp to play Star Trek and rock copy written music. I understand people come for the “gourmet “ food experience but from the video it seemed like the owner was a bit unorganized. Definitely wasn’t impressed with the presentation of dessert. I’ve seen all inclusive buffet style resorts with a way better execution food design technique. However I must say I did like the thought put into using the dishes as a representation of where in India each dish was inspired by. The chef has a video on msnbc I believe stating reasons as to why he shut down his restaurant. I can send you the link if you want to check it out
When i see these emojis on the napkins and then after 30 seconds i´m told the chef would have come in to complain jokingly it would be fucking cold, it makes me cringe. Latest the moment where they want me to lick my plate, then they´d give me food, i would most likely get up and leave to have a look if there are also restaurants for adults around. Fun casual atmosphere? That´s kindergarten and nothing else. There are so many idiots in the world, it maybe deserves to be ranked among the best 50 restaurants. Noma made number one with living shrimps in icewater and by making the customers eat the flowers on the table, so why not have some clown telling you to lick your plate?
What is shown in this video is not for everybody - 90% of people are seated inside and just a handful are picked up for this show. No one knows how they pick up. I was told you have to mention while booking that you want to be seated for this show, but I don’t remember any options been given at the time of booking. This is Gaggan’s was of creating an impression on some people who he knows write blogs or post RU-vid videos. Don’t go to Gaggan expecting to be seated here. Don’t go to Gaggan expecting seriously good food. This is a show off and go there to tick mark your bucket list. I am sure you won’t go again !
