That's was very interesting, Brendan, I haven't played on a golf course for over a year now, because of a few injuries and joint replacement, anyway , I looked thru most of the top coaches available on social media for many years now, only to figure out a better and easier way on my body, so I came up with 2 very great teachers that are a bit differnt in there own ways, they both get their pionts across, but I believe there after the same goal in how the body responds to movement and pressure, first teachers Dan Martin with the Pro, outstanding concepts he puts out , and Mike Malaska a little more sturn in his approach, but both understand how the differnt body parts respond to differnt movements in an effortless way, and of course you Brendan, you get the relentless trophy for greatest golf mind ,who has interviewed more golf instructors, professionals, professors, etc etc etc. incredible journey you've made so far, but this video is right on piont with the 2 teachers I mentioned, and trust me , know ones reinventing the wheel just making us understand what's actually happening, the biggest word in golf that should be talked about expectations, the word or thought will destroy every beginner if you bring your ego to the game of golf.we can never control the outcome just the effort put fourth. Thanks again great stuff.

BBG at its absolute best. Really enjoyed the video thanks. Your reference to a kid hitting something with a stick resonates (no pun intended) in particular. The motion is so pure and uninhibited. Harrington made several references to this down the years and there’s a hilarious video somewhere with him where he is whacking an impact bag to bits while a startled interviewer looks on hoping someone has called security. The slowmo of the action of him hitting the bag is exactly what you are talking about. If only it could be replicated!. Tx again

The fastest, most reliable, most illuminating way to learn this... is through short game practice. You simply learn more about the/your swing in 1/10th the time practicing short than you can learn on the range. A great short game is all about 1 part force going back and 2 part going through, slotting, tempo, rotation (yes), low point, path, efficiency, etc. You have to learn to walk before you can run.

Yes and many benifits because while you improve perception, coordination, rhytme, contact, distance controle, speed generation you also learn to.... Save more scores and make birdies 👌 100% agree

I'm thinking of Martin talking about Tiger loading the swing and it was always in one direction and the long drive guy talking about how his backswing was finished about half way back....he had set the angle between the shaft and his left hip...a Wide Arc until the angle is set. If we watch a pro from front right it doesn’t look like they turn much in the backswing....what they are doing in the backswing is setting the angle. They maintain this angle. For me the relationship to the angle is defined by the left hip and the shaft in relation to the target line. Think of someone standing on your target line and holding a string attached to your left hip and the shaft....keep these parallel lines through the swing I am flushing one after another and was struggling with the wedge but now I get a whip and thump

Really Good Brendan. For a spring to work it has to be anchored at one end. The ability to change direction of the club has much to do with your range of motion. The more supple you are the more anchor you need. Instead of flaring you back foot try square or even wound counter to your back swing. Now when you hurl the club into orbit it seeks the down motion because it ran it's limit. Now you have your doubling effect your looking for.

@@BEBETTERGOLF Own the Rear Vector (as Martin would say) This is going to Torque your hind leg, so don't bounce out. Endorse the Torque and allow the Shaft to feel more behind you. When it spits out it will enhance the line of Compression.

10:23 When the club swings backwards it creates an angle. This angle has a relationship to the left hip, this angular relationship is the magic of....0:53 At work I seen a sign, we want to lift with our "Power Mass"... This was defined as the mid thigh to mid chest region. However that is simply the motor.... The "chain" in the sequence of movements is the angular relationship between the shaft as it swings backwards and the left hip , (a chain keeps the motion tight and rhythmic) creating the spring loaded effect to be released at whatever tension we create in a 1/2 relationship of tempo

Brendon this is so very interesting. I find it funny that golf pros were teaching a method of swinging a club not really understanding why those forces worked the way they did. They just knew that good golfers/pros had success hitting these positions. Hell I have taken lessons from pros that number these positions and expect you to hit position 5 or 3 and you will hit the ball longer. My brain is so full of useless advice that I no longer have room for real advice😢

So Brendan something very interesting happened after watching your latest video...the information that a faster back swing necessitates more effort to counteract it and then taking one clubless swing with that info made me take just a little more time at the top and focus on that resisting effort instead of rushing back to the ball.....I think this integrated into my swing lets me (as Dr. Kwon says) allow the back swing to "mature"....humm... this quite excites me

Very interesting take. Very cool. I would say the more force added in a direction the harder it becomes to move it off line; hence more control. The redirect that Edo and Joaco's swing types with the replaning is a reaction to the clubface starting off very shut with a strong grip as a face opener....not necessarily a force result....they are forcing the face open.

Brendan, I think it would be interesting to know how much you've improved with all of the stuff you've learned. Like what are you shooting these days? I think it would be cool to throw in a status report of which stuff, and how much that stuff has actually helped you. Love the channel. Thanks.

A stick doesn't have an angled face on it. That's the problem. You need to hit a precise point on the stick at a precise point on the box without any real deviation in the direction the point on the stick is facing.

Love the content. I agree that golfers need to get back to natural athletic movements and away from positions. I think one reason athletes look unathletic after a while at golf is the need to square the face.

Go watch videos by Korean Pro Golfer Heo, and do what he says. It will look weird, and it is in Korean (put on the English subtitles), and you might think he is crazy or wrong, but he is a genius. Keep watching them and trying what he says. You should EASILY be able to get past 200 yards if you do what Heo says.

I’m into the physics of the swing but I don’t know about “resonance.” There are analogies for various parts of the golf swing. Some call it a pendulum motion but it really isn’t, more like a trebuchet. I do think “mechanics” are where it is at. Was true back in the Ben Hogan days and true now. Some people that aren’t the best gofers are sure of their mechanical approach. One guy told me “you can’t turn too much” in the golf swing. I respectfully disagreed.

The time conversion doesn’t work with the resonance model. If someone can post the conversion and make it sensible, do so.

It doesn’t work in a linear relationship because the downswing pace is sped up by acceleration which is obviously exponential
