Gala en direct de Bayreuth pour le 200e Anniversaire de la Naissance de Richard Wagner.

Dans le Palais des festivals, conçu spécialement par le compositeur pour l'exécution de ses oeuvres, le chef d'orchestre allemand Christian Thielemann, wagnérien reconnu, interprétera avec l'Orchestre du Festival de Bayreuth et des solistes de renommée internationale un concert anniversaire composé d'extraits d'opéras donnés en version concertante : le premier acte de La Walkyrie, l'"Introduction" et la "Prière" de Rienzi , le "Voyage sur le Rhin" et la "Marche funèbre" du Crépuscule des dieux, et le prélude des Maîtres chanteurs de Nuremberg.

Une pensée émue pour Johan Botha qui a été un extraordinaire Sigmund, pour la dernière fois à Bayreuth en 2015 où il avait donné un récital en faveur de la lutte contre le cancer, qui l'a emporté peu de temps après. Ich denke an Johan Botha der ein der besten Sigmund gewesen ist. Zu jung hat er uns verlassen.

Mintha most lett volna a művész születésének 200.évfordulója.A világ minden jelentős operaházában játszották értékes darabjait. Aztán néma csend! Közel egy évtized múlva tért vissza a Wagner - kultusz. Egészen sajátos formában. Műveinek a zenéjét igyekeznek szimfónikus művekbe sűrítve előadni. És Wagner hozza a régi minőségét így is!

Horst Stein (der es nie in die erste Reihe der Dirigenten schaffte) konnte als Einziger Allen (auch mit spärlicher Vorkenntnis der Werke) die Musik von Strauss und Wagner vermitteln. Ohne Pathos (wie hier bei Thielemann, oder früher bei Karajan und Anderen) sondern mit einer begeisternden Frische. Stein war ein Elementarereignis, der einfach mit den Weltgrößen (Ludwig, Nilsson, Rysanek etc.) gemeinsam atmete. Zu bedauern sind alle, die seinen grandiosen Ring, seine Meistersinger, seinen Parsifal und "Die Frau ohne Schatten" an der Wiener Staatsoper nicht gehört haben! Denn die wissen nicht um die Aussagekraft der Musik von Wagner und Strauss. Die hat nur Horst Stein vermittelt und sonst keiner!

C'est en effet un des meilleurs chefs et des plus injustement sous-estimés de sa génération, aussi exceptionnel dans Wagner et Strauss que dans Verdi.

Többnyire a RiNG zenei anyagát halljuk, de Lorin Maazel és a többi hozzáértő kiterjeszthetné az alkotómunkáját a Tristan és Isoldára, a Tannhauserre és a Lohengrinre is. Nem szólva a túlságosan terjedelmes Mesterdalnokokról és a Parsifalról. Ez lenne Wagner 21. századi teljes feltámadása. Ahány opera, annyi szimfónikus mű.

@@moniquehartmann3336 Oui vous avez raison, cela dit ne pas pouvoir obtenir des places à Bayreuth est un peu un mythe, affiliez vous à un cercle wagnérien (il en existe dans toutes les grandes villes de France) ou vous pourrez vous procurer des places... certes à un certain prix... et n'oubliez pas une tenue à la hauteur, Bayreuth a toujours une atmosphère mondaine que Nietzsche en son temps avait fuit... Cordialement !

@@gaetangroppi1112 j'ai déjà assisté à cette fête mondaine du concert de wagner ayant de la famille là bas j'ai donc eu cette chance mais je préfère écouter dans des églises ces concerts avec des amis ou la famille MERCI 😉🎶THANAUSER MON PRÉFÉRÉ 🙏

Mediocre to awful techniques. Is this really the best they could come up with now? Sad! Wrong voices, poorly produced. Wobbly soprano, squeezed raw tone from the Tenor.

As much as I hate to say it, yes, this is the best out there and it is depressing. I'm afraid opera is dead.

It's time to tell it like it is: Thielemann is boring. His stick technique is robotic and he is as inspiring as a metronome. Regardless of what he's conducting, he looks almost the same on the podium. He evidences no spiritual depth or emotional expressivity. Imagine Thielemann conducting Brahms, Bruckner, or Mahler. The very idea is enough to induce nausea. The most striking thing he ever does is to briefly 'lean forward.' How in God's name did he ever get named to conduct this concert? Maybe Wagner's heirs or the Bayreuth elite like him. I'd take Yannick Nezet-Seguin, Jaap Van Zweden, or Manfred Honick over Thielemann in a heartbeat. That said, it is good to remind ourselves that the two titans of opera, Wagner and Verdi, were born in the same year: 1813.

A simple question: his job is to look expressive or his orchestra to sound expressive? And what you define as an expressive face or manners of moving on the stage is totally subjective... And do you compare Thielemann to Nezet-Seguin? Are you kidding me? Who is Nezet-Seguin to conduct Wagner??? You need smart head, musicality and experience. Thielemann has it all!!! Nezet-Seguin needs many more years! I don't know if he has the other two...
