Nice but I’d also like the Survey Ships to automatically pick up the Drones once they’re through surveying and drop them on the next system. Once you’ve sent your 8-9 drones you’ve got to check when they’re finished then send survey ships to pick them up through several FTL jumps etc. It can be quite time consuming. My dream is to be able to tell a survey ship to go to this system, fetch this drone, drop it on this system. Order queues would be nice.

I see what you're suggesting. It's not possible now, but might be worth reposting that idea on the Steam forums. We'd have to do some design work to see if it's possible.
