Hey Jonathan. Great video. But one of the tips was incorrect. One of the first tips you give is about the two times zoom feature. You saw the 2x icon pop up and you assumed that meant it was focusing differently. You have to press the '2x" icon that appears when you are trying to take a picture of something close to the camera. It automatically zooms x 2 after you press it, and then it you can move closer until the phone screen tells you to move back, and that is the perfect distance for the pic! Check it out...its one of THE BEST tricks for this camera.

Jonathan another great video. I have a question for you, I always have issues when I do a slight video and choose to send it in a message and it looks horrible. WHY?
Camera is very bad, yes it looks nice at first but once you look closer you see that photos are always pixelated while having 108 MP camera, very dissapointing ..
Hi Jonathan, quick question to which I haven't found an answer on Reddit yet. Are there any lenses you use on your note 20 ultra (ex. Anamorphic, macro or telephoto) that cause focus problems due to the Lazer autofocus sensor being blocked by these large lenses. If not then how do you get a crisp photo or video when the main component allowing focus is blocked off. Thanks in advance for your input 👌

Excellent video. Does help because there are so many options to decide before you can click. I was very disappointed as I was not able to replicate the excellent point and clicks from my earlier pixel 3 but now I feel more confident. A pro mode video would be welcome, would also love if you could get a bit more into aspect ratios and the different resolutions, I notices at higher resolutions focus tracking gets turned off, what else do we lose?
Looking through note 20 ultra camera reviews because I'm realising one issue I have when taking photographs of a document - that is the image being captured doesn't appear sharp or focused entirely. I will have some areas which will look slightly blurred/out of focus.. It's irking me a bit cos I take photos of documents/of my computer screen quite often and I wanna see if anybody is bringing it up or if it's smth that's only on my phone. 😔 Haven't taken enough of other photos to realise anything else though or why it is this way.
But.... Regardless of the issues I'm facing, I'm loving this in-depth video! (even tho I've been a Samsung/Note user for the longest time and I alrdy know some of these tips) 😊

This is coming late to the party. Hope some are reading this to see if we can figure it out. Note 20 Ultra has 0.5X, 1X, and 5X lens. I use my 1 X and then did a digital zoom (presumably) at 4.7. When I blew up the photo, it has as much detail as the 5X but has slightly WIDER coverage. I compared with 1X at 1X using both 12mp and 108mp setting. The 4.7X has MUCH more detail - comparable to the 5X. This tells me that the 4.7X actually is using the 5X lens but can go wider. IF this makes sense, anyone know how wide the 5X lens can get? Or am I misunderstanding something? Thanks.

I have a Galaxy Note 20 Ultra but under Camera Setting there is no Smart Selfie Angle feature. I even did a search for it and nothing came up. Also, the "Use wide angle for group selfies" won't turn on. Can you help me understand why?
Well Ho Ho Ho Samsung. I got a Note 20 Ultra for Xmas. That's $1400 phone. I purchased this from Best Buy and got a few cases to try out. THE VERY FIRST TIME I put phone in the case, the little bit of stress that the phone underwent cracked the front class from center right to center bottom! The phone works fine, you can't really see the crack unless you hold the phone at a certain angle but you can feel it. It's a 1400 dollar phone and you can't put a case on it? God forbid it should every be dropped. Called Samsung customer support and of course they couldn't care less. "so sorry but we don't cover physical damage". Well, I came back to Samsung after 4 years with an LG that cost about half of what this phone costs. My LG never had a single issue, I came back to Samsung specifically for the "pen". This is obviously a quality control issue. There are hundreds of thousands of these out there and I've not read any other complaints about this issue. Yes people have broken screens but they dropped the phone or ran over it with a semi-tractor trailer. I simply put a case on my phone in front of a room full of people who all witnessed the incident. I'll be writing Samsung about this and I'll be posting this comment in EVERY SINGLE YOU TUBE reviewers video. This is completely unwarranted baloney that should NEVER be able to go unaddressed. This is an abusive mistreatment of a customer on the part of a company that is simply unwilling to acknowledge that it might actually have screwed up. BUYER BEWARE: If you're thinking of buying a NOTE 20 ULTRA don't even think about putting a standard case on it.
Could you tell me if the note 20 ultra records 4k60fps while hdr10+ is enabled? Its so hard to find this answer. The older models only records up to 30fps in hdr10+, not 60fps
I am very disapointed of the note 20 ultra cameras. I had better pictures with the note 10 plus, and I definitely have better pictures with a dslr and only 20 mp . If you zoom the screen after taking a picture it is really noisy because of the internal compression. I will try raw, but it is limited to pro mode.
Could you tell me how to PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE stop the super elongating effect ON VIDEO? When I take a video, if any of the images are off from the center, then their heads look extra long like it's an automatic wide angle instead of a normal recording. I hate this because I take most of pictures from screen shots off of videos. Please help 🥺🙏
Hey Jonathan. Is there a way to use pro video in selfie mode in which I can show content that does not look backwards or flipped? I want to record video in selfie mode with a ring light tripod to teach a class.
Unfortunately, there isn’t. The best thing I can tell you is to have some one dial in the settings for you and make sure your frames well or if no one can help you, use a mirror.
My Note 20 Ultra just got a forced update today, and the option to hide the front camera hole is gone from the settings menu in full screen apps and it's showing again, making it nearly impossible to scroll down with my case. How to fix this ? I can't believe they would have done something that stupid !
As you say, Pro video mode does not support the zoom camera in any resolution. What is the point in having control over the zoom speed, directional mic, etc. if the final picture at 5X and 10X zoom is rubbish compared to what you will get in 4K 30 fps in non-pro mode? Also, I don't seem to be able to slow the shutter speed below 30fps in Pro mode... am I doing something wrong, or is this another "feature"?
Having control over the zoom speed I think is more for stylistic purposes like maybe doing an in camera transition. Plus up to a certain extent digital zoom is perfectly fine for social media videos like IG stories. If you’re shooting 4K video at 30fps it’s not going to allow you to go below 1/30 for your shutter speed. It’s not an issue with Samsung phones its a physical limitaton when shooting video. You really should not be going below 1/60 shutter speed since the ideal rule is to adjust your shutter speed to double your FPS.
Clearly, this phones camera is anything but point and shoot...? I really wanted this unit mainly for it looks.. I know, ‘how shallow’ HA! But seriously, do you find that by the time you’ve set up the camera for a shot, that you’ve actually Missed the shot itself?

I have note 20 ultra but Not good camera note 20 ultra because there is so much blur , I am businessman and when I took picture of my jewellery ,, usmai jyada blur ho jata hai ,, camera mai without blur ka feature hina chahiye Third class camera
I'm really not a fan of this camera no matter what I do, the focus is never right when trying to take pics using zoom between 2x and 4x. I miss my note 10 all I had to do was tap and it focused perfectly.
