yeah but you paid 1300 bucks or more for that adaptive 120hz screen... if you have to turn it off, limit the CPU, etc... there's no point of paying so much for it and you'll have the same performance, refresh rate, battery life, etc if you saved probably 600-700bucks and got the previous generation note series.

@@AIDANPEREIRA Right!! I had a Note 9 that would last all day and then some, never have to worry about the battery life with every feature turned on and maxed out. Then this "Ultra", top of the line, advanced feature phone comes, $1,300, and you have to disable every selling point feature, reduce screen refresh, drop resolution down, disable this and that just to make it a useful device. I had to carry around a spare charger and cable all day wherever I went, a headphone adapter to listen to my headphones... No thanks, got rid of it and switches back to my Note 9. So much better.

Then what's the point of buying this phone. Reducing almost everything necessary for daily life useges. This is not a good idea at all. This is a flagship phone. So it should behave like one.

@@theempire2805 i got once 55min screen time, and had power save and not many apps installed, no tiktok, snap or idk. just calls, whatsapp email and a little insta youtube. exynos is really bad

@@jesusfcardenas90 putting most apps i don't use into deep sleep. I also use hibernate app but not sure if its conflicting with the battery app management I might just remove it. turning off sync. use dark mode. wifi powersave, I've added 2 buttons to the home screen to toggle wifi and Bluetooth on/off. also have the optimize button too which you will find on the widgets screen. my advice to you is use Gsam battery monitor found on the play store. charge your phone to full then use the app to track your usage and more importantly what your phone is up to when the screen is off. hope this helps👍👍

Well, it's android. So changing certain things will always help improve battery life, no matter the device or its price

It's not a trick. The battery life is poor at the very start because the phone has to learn your usage pattern AND also new batteries always drain fast and then show their true capacity later.

@@dalokz - Did you get the Note 9 when it was first released? If not, then you got the phone with many software updates which would have optimised battery usage etc. And maybe it lasts all day, but so does my Note 20 Ultra, and it has 120Hz which looks incredible to the eyes on every single app. Once you use 120Hz, 60 feels like its lagging.

Just got mine Dec 23rd 21, and damn this sucker eats the battery. Love the hell out of the phone though.

@@32toddv the fact this is a great phone, I decided to return it since battery is a major factor. I got s10+ and believe me I'm much happier that s21U.

I agree with you. My s10 plus lasted an entire day before recharge. The Note Ultra drains way too fast, only had it for a week.

in india iPhone buyers like you pays 116000rs. same will be sold 74k for iPhone max pro 64gb in US. atleast we don't have that in android particularly in Samsung.

Its kind of like food when you go in buffet you get to eat so many thing cooked low quality for cheap price. But when you go to open kitchen chef cooks a special dish right infront of you but , price is little high. Another reason : software security in open software and closed software. Apple give you quality samsung gives you quantity. To each their own . Whatever you choose. I choose quality always don't matter if its food or phone. Plus look at the resale price of smasung vs apple . Get your facts together 😉

@@sagarB01 cost is evaluated by product quality and its usability. 1400 is cheap because their investment in hardware, how much investment they did in camera sensor, screen , processor, Ram and bunch of other stuff. Samsung note 20 ultra came out in usa on August 21. To you samsung is best because they always release phone every year month before Apple. And in September Apple will release its samsung rival too. And then you compare. You will also see some fool making a review comparing iphone 11 pro max(year old model) with samsung note 20 ultra and concluding on samsung is better. I never compare year old phone with newly released phone. This is a sales technique by samsung bringing phone before Apple. Infact I tell you another one , people who have note 10 plus 5g could trade in their note 10 plus for 650 +150(accessories) and can get new note 20 ultra on samsung website. Thats how bad they want to keep their samsung costumers who already have older samsung. Dont get me wrong Samsung note 20 ultra is awesome phone but having more features doesn't mean you have better phone. User interface is whats most important. Making things as simple as possible.

@@sagarB01 samsung 1400 phone is the highest model first of all. Secondly highest model iPhone in usa when is comes out(in September) will be little higher than samsung. When I say cheap I am comparing it with Apple pricing because they both are top rivals . Over all 1400 is very expensive for phone I understand that.

True ... I keep mine between 60 and 80 % and my iPhone still says ,100% and it's one year old . They are not the same as ni cad or nmh batteries . Cheers

That's wrong. To maximize battery longevity keep it between 40% and 80%. Of course you can't always do that but it's ideal. Completely charging and draining the battery was true with older batteries that would "remember" but has not been true in a while.

@@devin2156 Neither one of them is wrong. Similar to when you first purchase a laptop, you drain the battery to at least 3-5% and fully charged it back for the purpose of calibrating the battery.

@@JustArcher19 I've picked up the ultra with the exynos chip and I can confirm, even after applying all possible settings to save battery it is definitely a thirsty device. Which is a shame, I really hope its not just because of the exynos chip either, because I've been using the shit out of it due to excitement but it seems like its draining just a bit to fast

I have the Note 20 Ultra and it doesn't heat up - my Note 10+ did though.

I got the snapdragon 865 plus note 20 ultra my doesn't heat up but it does die fast
