Adaptive smoothness is probably the biggest battery killer. Turn it off, turn on data saver, limit cpu to 70%, keep brightness as low as possible, use the darkest theme you can, make screen timeout as low as possible. For ultimate battery life, turn on ultimate power saving mode. If he just said these things, the video would be quicker, but that playtime really pays.
I've applied battery savings tips from this channel and other really good channels, and now I'm able to squeeze out 4 hours SOT on my Snapdragon N20U lolz. Good thing I still have my P30 Pro around to switch sim cards if push comes to shove

Hi anyone reading this, i have a question for people who used to own a samsung flagship before & now switched to N20U. When on darkmode, does the system UI feel slightly light grey, and has a slight green tint? (Settings app, calculator app, black pictures)
Does it really save a lot of battery life? I mean it is a cool feature. I didn’t know about it till I watched this video and it probably does save some but is it worth it to sacrifice the beautiful Note 20 ultra screen just to save a couple of percent?
Does the adapt sound profile affect the ear piece on the phone for calls? I miss having the extra volume feature on my old samsung S5 for calls in noisy places....Is there any kind of feature that can be used for the Note 20 ultra?
Nice video I appreciate the effort you put especially with a video that long, but for a flagship phone from a big company like Samsung that cost 1300$ me as a user I should not be doing all that to get the phone working properly also I have the exynos version and it's really bad battery got to 54% at 11am the phone gets really hot and stutter when scrolling through apps even with motion smoothness is on and yesterday I started getting static or noise I didn't know what it is called it's like old tv with no reception when recording videos
As of right now you can't actually. It was something you could do on the S20 before the update. So when I transferred using smart switch it brought the pair on my home screen over, but I can't create a new one. You can only add pairs to the edge panels now
It seems to shame you spend $1,400 and you have to turn off all these features they should have made the phone a little bit better which would have helped with the camera bulge and put a five and a half thousand battery in. And don't get going with the Exynos model.a disgrace.
@k l sorry to hear your bad experience. Honestly my battery life has been great even with adaptive 120hz setting. Over wifi throughout the day with about 6 hours SOT. 5g cuts that SOT by an hour or so. I've only been watching a bunch of RU-vid, light camera and message use and nothing really processor heavy. But overall with the 120hz display setting, I accept and totally understand the battery usage discrepancies. Under the typical smartphone display settings (WQHD 60hz) the SOT jumps up to a comparable time of 7 hours or so which is around the standard expected today. But yes, for the price you'd expect more.
Sad, but true words..!!! Got it a few days ago and I'm so piss.d off at Samsung.... They started to ripping of customers since the Note9.... But still i brought it.... P.S really thinking to use the guarantee and send it back for the Note10+ or with abit luck the s21+

Because fast charging and super fast charging use different adapter. Your phone will charge depending on which adapter you use therefore if you're using fast charging adapter but the setting is not on it will not fast charge. But I would recommend to turn all off if you have time to charge your phone as this will degrade battery life.
8 hrs and 9 hrs now with heavy use. Split screen RU-vid and Maps for 2 hrs, 1 hour of gaming, 1 hour social media, 30 min video call, basic calls and emails, and 3 more hours+ of RU-vid alone. Are the peramiters that I've used since the pandemic.

THIS IS MISLEADING! BE MINDFUL PEOPLE I tried a few of these 'tips' ironically some of them even gonna drain the battery more. like if you're not gonna be using an app for a long time, delete them, the apps that are in deep sleep Bruns twice the battery when you turn them on, I tried for a game I don't usually play, when I did though they consumed significantly more. also, the adaptive power saving thing, depending on how much and how frequent you gonna use your device, this feature it may end up as a double edge sword. Also what you forgot to mention is Turning notification off for some useless app so multiple notifications when waking up the screen 50 times a day, turning permissions like location, body sensor from the app that doesn't need them. etc
When I select adaptive power saving, it changes the smoothness to 60hz. Other than that all is ok. So I turn it off. Any idea on how to avoid 60hz in adaptive power savings?
@@dhrumilparekh8856 you can create a Bixby routine in order to turn saving mode on. When used with 120hz on, it will turn saving options on, without changing the 120hz.
@@dhrumilparekh8856 I created a shortcut called Medium, which activates whenever I press it. This way I can use the screen on 120hz. It's a shame however, paying £1300 for a device that cannot be used on its full potential without optimisation
@@Verefara. Yes thats what I did as well after your reply. However, even on optimized I am getting a good 5.5 to 6 hours of battery life. I know thats less than SD version. But thats all we got right. SD version would have been perfect considering the price.
This kind of stuff is why I stopped buying Android phones after my Galaxy S3. I'm surprised you still need to turn off so many features just to get it to work properly. It's a shame because I was interested in buying the Note 20 Ultra but the more I look into it, the more I realise it would be a mistake.
Can you get rid of the title next/below your app? Like, I don't need to see the word RU-vid next to my RU-vid app because I already know that's a RU-vid app.
You don't need to do this the note 20+ battery life is comparable to an S10+, and that is 8-10% shorter than the note 10+ but if you disable the 120hz you will get more than the note 10+
You all fail to realize samsung battery normally gets bad with age , so the extras you doing to keep the phone today , not gonna make any sense tomorrow, the exynos was badly made , even samsung acknowledge this , you shouldn't have to do all this for a few extra mins on a flagship phone, with the ultra name behind it.
Main features stay. The point is to disable junk and optimize system and app. Eg. do not allow background for app that not really need that or that you don't want to be bothered by. Is it now more clear?
