Its actually high end phone thats why samsung made this. The high end phone like s20 are now premium smartphones. Samsung now has 4 tiers of smartphones.low end ,mid range, high end , premium. Thats why i think samsung did't launch s20e.
Build quality is better k20pro, camera is better than k20pro, battery is better than k20 pro, sound quality is better than k20pro, faster download speeds upto 2000mbps than k20pro which has 600mbps, better display than k20 pro, but k20pro higher refresh rate than s10lite.
OnePlus 7T is a better device except for the fact that S10 lite has expandable storage ... It's much better build quality , stereo speakers , better cameras , SD 855+ , faster charging etc ... Also it costs less
This phone is not available here in the Philippines, so I bought it online. And now I'm so happy and contented with this phone. I never regretted that I sold my A71 to buy this phone. Snapdragon 855 is still a beast! And the battery is superb. The only thing that I didnt like about this phone is it doesnt have a dedicated SD card slot. The sim tray is hybrid. You cannot put the 2 sim cards and SD card at the same time.
I agree with the reviewer's list of essential features which I feel Samsung nails in the S10 lite. It's entertaining to watch you fanboys and tech geeks gripe about it's plastic back and screen refresh rate. The sd 855 is a beast, and just because it's a year old, some of you are losing your minds. Great battery, big super amoled screen, fast processor, plenty RAM, 128 gigs of storage, that's expandable, pretty good camera, and I can get it for $500. The One Plus 7t is a worthy challenger and I'll do my homework, but I'm definitely considering the s10 lite. And yeah I know it's the same as the a91.
What did you end up choosing? I’m asking because the One Plus 7T was the phone I did research besides this one. I ended up choosing the s10 lite this morning
@@seasickboyz123 Wow ...My s10 lite was ordered not 48hrs ago... I chose the Samsung because I honestly feel it's the better overall value. Congrats on your recent purchase.
@@seasickboyz123 S10 lite has better camera, slimmer bezel with punch hole screen, way bigger battery, expendable storage while OnePlus 7t has 90 Hz screen, glass back, slightly faster charger and slight overclocked Snapdragon chip. Pick your poison :D
whats your thoughts about the speaker ? I have my own s10 lite and i think this mono speaker is pretty bad, even my old xiaomi redmi note 4 have better one.
As an European, I give the S20 with Exynos a hard pass. I instead upgraded from a Pixel 2 to the S10 Lite and wait for the next big release. Samsung really did us dirty with the crappy Exynos chip, so I hope they either improve performance with AMD on board, or go back to provide Snapdragon to everyone. Any European who bought an S20 Ultra with the Exynos processor is insane.
Same is the case here in India.... to get a flagship snapdragon processor in a samsung phone my only option today is samsung s10 lite... but the omission of the stereo speaker and even the headphone jack is kind of a dealbreaker for me.... not to forget the “glastic” built, no IP rating and no 90hz display coz at the same price i can get all those in India from a OnePlus or other chinese phones.... but i have always stuck to an iphone or a samsung... had a horrendous experience with the Pixel2xl so google is out as well for me personally.
@@rp1443 I just returned my S20 and placed order for a s10ite. That Exynos 990 was so bad that I was not able to sleep at night thinking that I have been robbed big time😢.
I've had this S10 LITE a week now, my only small annoyance is the speaker; call sound is quite low on speaker, and a lot of the time the speaker gets blocked with fingers. But other than that, it's by far the snappiest performing phone I've had, feel wise. Very quick and a great screen. I usually always buy S(whatever version). The battery is also by far the best I've encountered on any phone.
I've bought the s10 lite like a month ago and I'm quite satisfied with my purchase! It's actually a pretty good phone for a mid range/budget one! Also the fast charging option it has is so convenient
i hit subd button because 1. review is all about the gadget...its all you see through out. atleast almost. 2. very casual, friendly voice like its pararelled on how the video is presented... very nice tone. 3. the quality is very magazine type.... very good man!
Coming from Note 8. I decided to grab this one because of the SoC, the Snapdragon 855, because in my country the S and Note series only sold in exynos version. To be honest, once I've underestimated this phone due to its price and glasstic build. But I was wrong. Probably this is the best mid-range phone Samsung that ever made.
@@ehabal-hanash2533 , No, you have several important things to miss, mainly curved screen, S pen and handphone jack. But the SD 855 SoC on the S10 Lite truly energy efficient. Trust me, I can get 8 hours SoT easily, outperferming my previous Note8. If you can live without the S Pen and the curved screen, I'll suggest you to ggo with S10 Lite. This is a powerhouse in a budget.
I think S10 lite is missing stereo speakers, wireless charging, water resistance these things are very important to me, seems i will wait for note 20, however; yes it has a very strong processor and battery life
I'm not a Samsung fan but this is looking so sweet. look at the thinness of the device and these bezels with the flat device. that is a real eye candy. if they make an s30e like this (of course since the e is so small it won't all turn out just like that it won't turn out just like this in terms of thinness and borders but still) I would consider getting that if they made it for a reasonable price and not what they did with the s10e, which was simply put, a rip off
@@abidrgp3837 and @FrankieDeuce well the device is the most handsome device i ever held in my hands and has an amazing size over all (wish more phones had that exact size with such a big screen). The price issue (im talking launch prices here which arent the most important thing with android phones but still) isnt how this phone compares lets say to the Iphone 10R of the time. Because spec wise it was above it (except camera (dont know about it)). How is the device overpriced then you ask? Well the year prior samsung released the S9 for 50$ more so almost the same price but that was a fully featured flagship. The S10e some upgraded specs (im talking soc for example) but still the phone before had a better screen and other important things that samsung had to "cut down on to reduce the price", but in the end they cut a lot, and barely reduced the price. So its not overprized compared to apples phones but compared to its predecessor yet no youtuber talked about it
@@munificentdancer1618 a flagship with important cuts VS the previous year the full featured one for almost the same starting price. also I believe there were a few more differences
Are you facing any green tint on grey background at low brightness on your device... Many people are complaining about this issue.... i too want to buy this...
Pre-Covid, I did a lot of traveling. Which meant lots of layovers at airports with flight delays. Sometimes for hours with no power outlets. Yes I have a battery backup, but the extra big screen and big battery life just makes things easier.
@@RCmies what the f you talking about the s10 lite hasn't got the SD 855+ it has SD 855 and the s10e has SD 855 if your in North America.. anyway there both trash
Lookin' to replace a beat up ol' Galaxy S8. I'm seriously considering the S10 lite. My only gripe is the lack of waterproofing. Is it just not rated, or is it not waterproof at all? That being said: NO BIXBY BUTTON??? HELL YEAH.
I disagree. Even though it was released in 2020, it still has 2019's Snapdragon processor which matches 2019's S10 line. Calling it S20 Lite would be pretty bad imo.
@@jayduffy10 Nah, for what Samsung is going for, it'd have to have matching processors. So if this had the Snapdragon 865, then yeah, Galaxy S20 Lite. Since that's not the case, S10 Lite makes more sense since the internals are similar.
Got this with an exchange offer with my older phone and credit card cashback offer, and it's a great phone with good cameras.. people who want stereo speakers should settle with the average cameras of 7t.. Choose your trade-off
Are you facing any green tint on grey background at low brightness on your device... Many people are complaining about this issue.... Also how do you feel the speakers are
Argh it's so difficult choosing a new phone these days. Flagship are ridiculous money now so this is more my price range (£434 on Amazon right now) but the one thing that does really bug me is the single speaker... Ugh if only it had dual. I currently have a Sony XZ, previously a Sony Xperia Z3. Going off Sony now, they still haven't solved their camera heating issues and hello, it's 2020 and their flagships still have clunky borders. I've been looking at the Oneplus Nord but now I've seen this S10lite, I'm a bit torn. Any suggestions?
So I have got a iPhone 6s, and I’m looking at getting a new phone. Would I be disappointed getting this phone? I don’t really know what to get, all I know is I can’t afford a new iPhone and a bigger battery would be nice.
S10 lite is great and the one plus 7t is cheaper and has 90hz refresh and faster storage new ones seem dumb to me no improvement to justify the price. don't buy apple products :)
The only let off for me is no dedicated SD card slot...atleast they have provided a 256 GB version...the speakers are good for what it is...with my JBL buds i dont use the speaker at all..
After a couple of days going through phones wondering which one to pick, decided on this one! Easily the best value, especially since it was on sale where i bought it from. Now on to unpatiently waiting for it to arrive lol.
The takeaway from this is that 90 percent of people don't need anything above a 1080p screen on a phone, don't need the high performance specs and can make do with cameras that were considered amazing 5 years ago... Saying "if you NEED a phone with the highest specs, this is not for you" is ok, but most of the people who think they NEED such a phone do not really need it, they just want it... Because of that, people change phones completely unnecessarily too often, which is wasteful. The only real reason for replacing a phone after just two years is failing battery. And if you ask me, manufacturers should be forced to make batteries user-replaceable to discourage people from replacing perfectly functional hardware just because the battery lost capacity. It's really sad.
Here is what is most interesting; in most countries that sell exynos samsung, this is the ONLY snapdragon samsung u can find, if they sell this phone in ur country. Which i was so surprised!! Just got mine today and I was pretty lucky to have found this phone. Last one too! Im so excited to use it as everyday.
Great review details, Kinda pricey for 1080 but Im interested in 3-400 dpi with good battery. But @4:15 a CFL exposed to outdoor conditions? Yikes, fire hazard.
Planning to buy the S10 Lite....felt the review to be adequate enough to make the decision. Thanks. P.S : I also liked the Mobile Holder shown in the video(7:00mins)...if you could send me a link as to where to get those it would be helpful.
I looked at this, but I really wanted the features of a flagship in a compact size, so I went with the S10e... Really glad I did, but had that not been available whatsoever, I would have chosen this over the A51... Gotta have that higher-end processor!
Yeah. That sucks big time. Here in the Philippines, people resort to buying stores that sell international version which are equipped with Qualcomm's processor. Still authentic though but when you encounter certain problems, that's an another concern.
@@kiomi8659 i don't think so, bcs some people are not satisfied on what they get isn't the same as others eg: like this exynos and snapdragon problem as snapdragon is quite superior(for now, this or next year exynos will perform better) than exynos. For me, I think it's not a problem for having an exynos phone bcs they perfomed same as each other.
@@McWhCl aha okey, gotcha. My S8 has an Exynos chipset, and I think it performs fine. I've never had a Snapdragon processor, maybe the difference is noticable when you've tested both. But from my perspective, the Exynos performs fine.
Will samsung care provide water damage repair on this phone? The samsung care says it fixes liquid damage so it that true eventhough the s10 lite is not IP68?
In India we get 8GB RAM as standard. A new version will be launched soon with 512GB of storage. It's really good for it's price. Camera on this phone is very good. Really a good entry by Samsung in the midrange. Just had to buy d-brand skin to hide the glastic shame. 😅
@@WalmartTom it is absolutely awesome ..i was even wondering why were these youtubers so bothered by this..i to be honest dont feel any difference that should be a concern. And the loudness is perfect...
@@mubashirbhai6147 I'm used to mono speakers, and the speaker on the s10 lite is perfectly fine. I don't know why people need stereo speakers in their phones
bought it 100% agree with the lack of stereo speakers, I'm playing genshin impact and cover it all the time, no sound, also it overheats. but it's really good for its price
Now, since it's well priced in UAE almost 375$ (1370AED), I am inching towards it... Before I was waiting for IQOO Z1 global launch, which could be quite time taking but Vivo isn't good in terms of camera ... Hence S10 Lite almost done... Unless Huawei releases Honor X10 Global version
Samsung galaxy S10 lite is a great phone for 40k. Snapdragon 855 is a flagship processor, At this budget only oneplus release phones under 40K. So this is the competitive phone for oneplus phones. But there is a cons in S10 lite they don't have glass, it has glastic(combination of plastic and glass) not sure about the protection I've to spend extra 700 bucks in gadgetshieldz skin for the protection.
Samsung should have included headphone jack... it would have hit the market for sure. Life without headphone jack just cant imagine . Will definetly go for lg velvet.
I am facing overheating problem a lot on my S10 lite in upper portion of the device while playing pubg and sometimes while charging. Anyone facing this problem? What is the cause of it?
You are right about the stereo speaker, for such a big phone and nice oled screen people who buys it is for video watching, so that's why Samsung is giving free wireless headphones. I'm glad is a flat display, plastic back, big battery, fast charging, but I need those stereos
Do you guys think I should buy this phone I just wanna know what you think. My mom said I could get it I just wanna know what’s it’s like (if you have it)
