agree, i would just like to see the battery drain in stand by... but this year both socs are absolutely comparable

These differences you won't notice much. But mainly you will notice that photo & video quality is worse on exynos version. That's probably the worst thing about the exynos version. Otherwise I'd say both are somewhat equal.

@@damara2268 no issues with my camera at all, if the Snapdragon chip is better for the camera it must look out of this world

Exactly - no one will notice a difference when it comes to speed (unless they encode a lot of videos of course). But yes, there's plenty more to be done to improve both the 2200 and 8G1 so we'll see how they do over the coming months 👍

I've been using the Exynos 9810 for the past two years, and despite being a heavy user, I've never felt the chipset wasn't providing enough power.The phone performs good in day to day life.

@@shahidahmad6090 i dont know about you but i have an s9+ and an s7 the s9+ uses the chip you were talking about and i never felt anything laggy or in a situation that he cant handle i have a friend that has an s9 and he said i put everything max in s9 and he runs it no problem about s7 he uses an older chip but still today is very good better than some a series phone they lag a lot with those mediatek chips

Apps r not optimized for the new gpu nothing else. Even my s20 ultra opens faster then these phones

Exynos 2100's X1 core isn't clocked at 3 GHz iirc. I think it's 2.91 GHz but maybe it wont matter to much. And yeah, pretty weird that they dialed down the clock for X2 core inside the 2200. Maybe because they know it will take a toll on the battery? Who knows. What matter is their performance is on par

@@josuke6131 Sorry I meant to say 2.9 instead of 3.0 but anyway the point still stands and I am pretty sure that their not so great manufacturing process is one of the main reasons behind this move and we are seeing that in the 8 gen 1 which is manufactured with the same process but with higher clock speed and comes with higher battery consumption under load. When we see the results of Mediatek's flagship processor we can safely say that TSMC's 4nm process is much better in handling heat and battery concumption and gives a room for bumping up the clock speed without having that many drawbacks and when Qualcomm finally moves back to working with them that will bring back the gap that Qualcomm had with their 855 and 865 compared to exynos processors. Samsung needs to put more effort on their manufacturing quality instead of just marketing their 5nm and 4nm technologies which are clearly just marketing terms.

@@ArsenalBA couldn't agree more. Samsung's nodes are a lot more worse when it comes to overall efficiency and performance. Even TSMC 7nm node is more efficient than Samsung 5nm node. TSMC manufactured 8 Gen 1+ would be far more better than 8 Gen 1. Samsung really should step up their game. But TSMC invested millions if not, billions into developing processing nodes alone, that's why they're miles ahead of Samsung

I've got a battery drain test coming soon which might help you make up your mind. To be honest though you'd be more than happy with either. Battery life though - you might want to stick with the Exynos...

theoretically the Exynos has an NEWER AMD GPU capable of ray tracing on paper unfortunately barely any app using it. Snapdragon is using the OLD architecture of AMD GPU (RADEON - ANDRENO) Optimization is where Exynos Lose

I doubt there'll be any difference more than usual in the SD versions (Hong Kong vs US). I have noticed the SD is always hotter than the Exynos so far in every test. Currently doing a battery drain test and it's consistently warmer so far yes...

No exynos runs cooler than snapdragon

Spoiler: I'm doing a battery drain test at the moment and the camera test is currently running - SDG81 is 2C hotter than the 2200...

Samsung just launched exynos we should give them time and exynos was a bit slower when opening games bc they were not optimized

I have a S22 Ultra (Exynos) and everything is fine. I haven't any of these problems. Is it so difficult to understand that the GPU, the Xclipse is a new architecture and Samsung and also the developers need time to extract the potential of the hardware? Even the 13 Pro Max had bugs when it was launched. If phones was perfect at the launch, they wouldn't need updates.

Wow sounds like you've had some seriously bad issues with yours 😢 I've been managing about 6.5 hours of SOT (heavy usage) with mine and haven't noticed any problems that you're experiencing except for some apps taking longer than expecting to load up (mainly financial ones which do additional checks before running). With 8GB of RAM I'd expect a slightly worse experience when doing the tests I did in this video but obviously no one uses their phone like this - so if you're noticing issues day to day it looks like the days of 8GB RAM being overkill are coming to an end maybe. You'd still want to be using the normal RAM wherever possible as zRAM will use more CPU and battery from what I understand

If you've just recently got it it'll take a while for the battery to sort itself out - when it does you should be more than happy with the battery life

You can import the SD if you wish (I used www.wondamobile.com) but the choice is really down to you and whether you think it's worth the effort to import it or not

The 8G1 heated more than the 2200 in every test I've done but the last update it seems on-par with the 2200 finally - not heating too much

Like let the phones sit for an hour or overnight and compare how much battery the lost? Ideally we would even want to see how the batterylife compares in real world use aka when you are out and about using the 5G/4G network but I understand that this would be very hard to compare objectively 😅

Snapdragon will always be better at gaming as developers support the chipset. If the PUBG team/others added 2200 support then it'd be an interesting comparison to see which was best 👍

@@AndroidAddicts Yes sir I did and I appreciate your efforts for making it.👌🏻 According to several comparison videos that I've watched, 2200 may be on par with or even a tad bit quicker than 8 gen 1 in opening apps or recalling the apps from RAM here and there. But it's still noticeably slower in loading games, rendering and exporting video files and installing apps to the UFS storage. And when I say it's slower I don't mean it's by any means incapable, but it's just a pure disappointment considering all the hype that was around for months about it's RDNA 2 architecture! I mean what's the point of having a top-tier SoC if we're not gonna be able to use even 80 percent of it's peak power in sustained workloads due to heating prevention (and the throttling which comes afterward)?! I have an exynos 2100 S21 ultra, and although it stays quite cool and has OKish battery life, I'm really fed up with limited performance due to throttling in order to save battery. I have a Tab S7 too and every single time I play CoD mobile, not only SD865+ is a bit quicker in loading the game (which is totally unacceptable by itself given the difference in clock rates and lithography size between the two), but also is it much more stable in framerates and does heat less! All in all, I don't really see any significant improvements with this generation of SoCs. But at least 8 gen 1 has that extra power in playing games (although for short bursts of time!) and rendering and other combined gpu/cpu workloads, whereas exynos really has little to offer over it's predecessor.

Haters gonna hate 😅 There's plenty of haters in both groups and you can see why. In the past Exynos (990 was the last one) was a terribly performing chip. Now this year the SD appears to be getting too hot so it's the opposite of the 888 last year which, was better than the 2100 overall (although after a good few months of updates the 2100 became an extremely good chip).

Wrong, check golden reviewer camera comparisons with exynos and snapdragon it's garbage. Snapdragon is superior

Don't forget the developers of the games need to do the updates - not Samsung. Neither chipset is optimised yet sadly
