Great comparison Alex, fyi Oppo use Rec2020 wide color gamut when shooting video. That's why it look so vibrant, you need to change that to Rec709 to make the color more natural

Finally Samsung comes very close to natural colours and dropped that oversaturation in photos. Oppo picked it up for no reason :). Great job Sammy!

If you turn off the AI on the Oppo you'll find the colours will not be oversaturated.

Great comparison Alex, both cameras have their advantages and disadvantages, I would go for the S22 because of the natural colours, then if I wanted more saturated colours I could add them.👍

I have not found any video on the oppo x3 pro. is there anyone here who can tell me how is the quality of the photos compared to an s22? I would be very happy to have some information given the purchase that I will have to make. sorry for the inconvenience.

I have the Oppo Find X5 Pro and I don't get those ultra saturated colors. Then again, I turned off AI mode, which does produce ultra saturated colors for the Instagramers out there...

I wish I had bought the S22 over the pixel 6. The world seems so impressed by the pixel, I on the other hand am thoroughly unimpressed by it! The camera on the pixel is useless for video with the included app, the thing can't white balance to save it's life.... Constantly chopping up the frame rate with colors that actually seem to glow is not visually appealing. I don't understand how the world keeps bragging up the pixel. Thanks for reminding me here how wrong I was in my choice of smart phone....😁 Cheers 🍻

For half the price, I think the Oppo is really good. Of course Samsung is much better option out of these two.

Very subjective and they are pretty close in quality, no deal-breakers here. However the colour science is different with the OPPO far more pleasing to the eye, the same way you see hundreds of comments saying the Galaxy S22 display is "so good, the best", with more vivid, saturated colours. As a non-pro, I would def prefer the OPPO if I was just posting from the auto-mode, but of course, you can ramp up or down in post, so for those of us who will spend time in post, that saturation is moot. Ties in with my conclusion that flagship phone cameras are very good and if you narrow the comparisons to auto-mode then very subjective, but otherwise there are 5-10 phones that are very capable and you cannot go wrong, so anyone pushing for one over the other is usually agenda-driven. For video, low-light on the S22 line has big issues and quality is sub-par, hoping an update can resolve this but one of the worst flagships in that regard.

For night photographie oppo plays in a hole other league. Look at the details and the lights which are better rendered and less blown out than samsung.

Why I feel like Alex is making fun of the Oppo 😅😂🤣 Honestly I think the Poco F3 does better than this Oppo 🏃🏽‍♂️🏃🏽‍♂️🏃🏽‍♂️
