Today I'm tearing down a Galaxy Watch Active2, the frame was bent over the power button causing it to reboot until it lost power. Thankfully it wasn't fully jammed into the housing, give this video a watch to see my cure for button depression!

Can you show all the ribbon connections and how to reconnect them? I removed one and don't remember where it goes entirely

I'm having a very similar problem but with my back button, I had a shower with it on the other day and it seemed to stop working I put it on charge and it went into rebooting mode on a loop for 24 hours. I then used a hair dryer to heat it up and then put it in a bag of rice for 24 hours. And it did the job it works again. But now I have a different problem, every 30 seconds samsung pay pops up on my watch. Iv done some research and it seems to be the back button is stuck / not working. And tips? Or ideas?

Hmm, it's possible some minerals from the water, usually calcium from tap water, built up on the connection. If you want to avoid opening it, your best best will be to put a few drops of isopropyl alcohol on the button and repeatedly press it to work the alcohol into the housing. You may have to repeat this process once or twice. The alcohol should break apart any build up without hurting the electronics. Ideally I'd say open it and scrub, but not everybody wants to risk disassembling it!

Exactly what is happening to my galaxy watch 4 right now and how I stumbled upon this video. I've had it in the shower and now it endlessly loops to Samsung pay (or Bixby) and sometimes even tries to do SOS calls. I can't even switch it off because it's the power button that loops endlessly and it just switches back on on its own. 🙄

how does the water waterproof structure work？ didn't see the silicone circle

(Edit) this one is actually a water resistant tape adhesive that is around the frame, I think in my video here most all of it was stuck to the lower casing I removed.

after a trip my back button stopped working.. it still can be pressed and bounces but but its like the piece it presses against is broken or something.. has anyone brought that kind of issue to you before?

Super super common on iPad home buttons actually, and most manufacturers use the same nipple style buttons. Basically two tiny thin metal disks on top of one another with a small black "nipple" on top. The metal discs act like springs and make the click sound, but it won't actually register a press if the nipple has fallen off or slid off. If you're able to find a shop that can replace iPad nipples, they should also be able to repair this

I used a silicone based glue, B7000, it's relatively water resistant. Though lately I've switched to a cold pressed silicone glue that seems to work better

That tiny thin ribbon cable that connects mobo and battery, got ripped. Any way to fix that?

Unfortunately finding a replacement will be the easiest way. Some wild solder technicians have successfully stitched ribbon back together, but in most cases it isn't worth it

This one is B7000 adhesive

@@TapticDigital Hello, can I use T7000? They say that B7000 and T7000 both have the same sealing properties, differing only in color. T7000 is pitch black and is typically used to glue the screen because it blocks light of the display from leaking to the sides. Thanks for the video.

@@paulocarvalho7877 yes T7000 would work fine, you don't really need the light sealing since nothing inside lights up. But from an adhesive standpoint they should work the same

Hey i accidentally yanked the display off the frame....and i think diplay got damaged somehow and touch is not working (digitiser i think) is it possible that... Through that same connector the display is working and digitiser not? Or maybe the other end of cable attached to the back side of display got damaged.... Or its just a loose connection on yhe motherboard....

@@Overlord1241 very possible, even a small tear in the ribbon can cause all kinds of issues. Everything is so tightly sandwiched together its unlikely to be loose, sounds more like possible damage unfortunately

I lost my home button is there any way to replace that?

I haven't been able to find the button through any of the vendors I use, it may be a case where you'd have to buy a broken one on ebay to use the parts from it.
