I like Wynton’s way of doing the music. He is humble and great at once. He do with all of them, from where ever they come... with the Cuban Santeria with the marvellous accordionists of Europe; the great Salsa and all.... seating behind... and letting Arturo blow his mouth piece humbly knowing he is great and a brother...or rather blowing a barroco rift. Finally getting the Africans tunes... and everything, making the Lincoln Center a true melting pot of cultures!! I like you Wynton!!
Galliano just took all of us, including Wynton's band, for a goosebump ride. Watch the band start to ride with his groove as his solo unfolds, and when he plays that amazing run toward the end of the chorus, watch the bassist chuckle with joy and wonder as I did. Man, that dude plays.
Odette
Beautiful rendition of La Vie En Rose by masterful artists. Wish they will play more music together! Listened to this cut more than 50 times! I just love it!
So lush and sensual... I could listen to it all day... and feel like I’m embraced by the summer breeze..azure skies and watching the soft curls of waves from the crystal clear waters of the sea sweeping over the white sandy beach... inviting... alluring... just magic and delight for the soul...
Piano: Dan Nimmer; Baixo: Carlos Henriques; Drums: Ali Jackson; Sax Tenor: Walter Blanding; Trompete: Winton Marsalis. Todos componentes da Jazz Lincoln Center e como convidado Harmônica: Galliani. Parabéns pelo arranjo com andamento de bossa nova. Muito sofisticado, parabéns!
Galliano and Wynton play so beautifully together in this piece. And a beautiful song too ! Thank you for the song, and thank you for sharing it with us all 💕❤️❣️
Absolutely the best version of this masterpiece I've ever heard. All the musicians are PERFECT. It just does not get any better than this. I listen to this all the time...and it gets better every single time. Amazing musicians. Kudos and thank you for posting this masterpiece...now my life is a little more complete.
Edith Piaff, Richard Galliano, Wynton Marsalis creating the world we need - and the young man on the bass "est en accord" - at one with this moment of creating. I had the honour of a concert by Richard in Perpignan, and when asked him for a photo with me, he smiled as if I was offering him the world.
Richard... a music to die for.... the combination with Branford is really great! Thank you for everything and thank you for making me believe in jazz accordion since almost 30 years! I can really claim... you formed my life 😄🙏👍
Galliano è un virtuoso musicista di fisarmonica, riesce a trasmettere con lo strumento molte sonorita' originali, che impreziosiscono la musica de la Vie en Rose, bellezza impagabile
Such wonderful playing from all... Galliano kind of shines the most, but when Marsalis plays just the first note of the melody, I see a sailing boat in blue waters at the French Riviera...this comes as close to musical heaven as one can get.
WHEN I WAS GROWING UP IN THE 1940'S AND 50'S, MY MOTHER WOIULD GO AROUND THE HOUSE SINGING THIS SONG. SHE JUST LOVED IT SO MUCH. I WISH SHE COULD HERE IT PLAYED BY GALLIANO AND MARSALIS. BEAUTIFUL! I LOVE ALL THE "BLUE" NOTES THAT ARE PLAYED IN THIS RENDITION. SYLVIA! 4/25/21
Esas cancioncillas que nunca se irán, mientras que las tengamos presentes que son toda una maravilla, y más de mano de estos megamusicos. Adelante chic@s que vosotros si podéis!!
