Code: SPN for 10% off Blacksmith Tactical Holsters. My go to is the v2 holster with double discrete carry clips and a wedge. And if you have under a 3.7” barrel, get a wedge!! Respect
I believe Glock does what they do to keep it simple for themselves while opening up the aftermarket and it seems to work. They don't have to bother with customer service on upgrade aftermarket parts if something goes wrong. They stick to their narrow focus on making pistols that work. I miight be wrong but keeping things simple seems to be the way to go for them. They aren't my favorite but I always find myself comparing any potential purchase to a Glock.
That actually seems like a great grip for carry. I have the Handleit edge series on my duty gun and it's great. Makes me what to try their new premium grips as well.
I would get these grips, but because they don’t cover the back strap, I’m gonna hold off for now. I also hope you do an update review on the grips to see how they have been holding up after some time. Thanks for the video.
Just finished up testing of a thinner version that allows for coverage on the back. I'm guessing the'll be added to the Tractiongrips site in the next coupe of days. My little Glock 43 was the demo gun in testing and I'm really liking the feel and thinner profile.I noticed it didn't tug on my shirt while I was carrying concealed, even a really thin polyester fishing shirt.
Unfortunately, this material is too thick to form to the complex curve on the back of the pistol. Most of our materials are offered for Glock models with the back piece included. The material imitations use wouldn't allow it with this one.
This is a cool grip. I'm a big fan of bicycle inner-tube, personally. It's free, grippy, and doesn't chafe skin or destroy shirts. Unlike dedicated rubber grips, they're super thin and stay grippy, even when wet.
@@luciusmirkwood1634 check out your local bike store. They throw away or recycle the used ones. Cut a piece, wash it, dry it and stretch it onto your pistol's grip.
Although I would prefer it come with one, I have a mixture on my G19 so this wouldn’t be so bad. I have handle it edge series grips, but I kept my talon granulate backstrap and thumb ledges on it since I had that previously until I had the same issue as you - tank tops being ripped lol. I also removed my finger grooves so I filled the finger grooves in with granulate talon grips I cut from the side panels when I removed it. Such a great mixture. Doesn’t cause my shirts to stick to it much, but have the backstrap and thumb ledges for excellent traction.
Looks like the rubber skateboard grip that I’ve been seeing! It might actually be cheaper to order that than these grips if you don’t mind a little DIY cutting. But it’s great if you have a gun that they don’t make grips for, yet.
Very similar feel. Different adhesive, designed to bond to LSE polymers, rather than wood. The skateboard tape will stick to some polymers, but isn't ideal for many firearms. The wetting properties required are different to get a lasting bond. The adhesive is also rated for polymers that include phthalates and other plasticizers that slowly dissolve many adhesives.
They look great. Almost look like they're part of the gun, like overmolding on some other gun grips. I hope they're durable. They look like they are, but it's impossible to tell with modern plastics. You can have two identical looking plastic/polymer parts and one can be heavy and durable while the other is lightweight and cheap. You know if they make any claims/guarantees at all when it comes to longevity? I know rubber basketballs aren't known for their longevity (staying bumpy and grippy)... but at the same time, they do pretty damn good considering they're bounced on concrete 1000s of times. I can imagine a basketball would last a very long time if it was never bounced on concrete though.
Talon pro grips don’t last long at all. I tried them on my Ruger LCP Max and after about two weeks of pocket carry the surface wore off completely. I do not recommend them.
I used some skateboard tape on the outboard side and they have been really effective. I don't need the grip on the thumb side. The palm side is where I feel the most slip.
I too rely on a simple strip of skateboard tape down each side scale. Not terribly abrasive, yet gives perfect hold on the grip!.........................elsullo
I tried looking up traction grips and can only find their sandpaper grip tapes but not the basketball traction. What is the product name specifically called???
I put Agrip on my pocket pistol nine years ago. Carried a lot, not shot much. It was easy to put on, stuck easily and moved a little easily to correct position. They are STILL PERFECT today, in my pocket right now. It is like a synthetic heavy velvet, but it grips BETTER when wet..........................elsullo
@@rustyshackleford4299 I tried some hockey tape. Not sure of the brand but it didn’t stick as well. I ended up having to superglue the end down. Since I did that it stayed. I haven’t had the same problem with goon tape. I would imagine a good quality hockey tape would work well considering the moisture it has to deal with on the ice. AGrip has been more and more difficult to find.
The photos that Tractiongrips shows for their GEN3 19, 23, 32 grips, look completely different from the grips in your video. Their photo looks just like the Talon rubber grips.

I found the traction grips about a year ago and also thought they were the best. Problem is I could never find this particular texture again. Tractiongrips does have a store but they only sell the sandpaper or other ones no one wants. So tired of companies and vendors overstocking things no one wants and not stocking the things people actually want. What in the F
I can't think of a single material we had available a year ago, or even several years ago that is't still available. We actually have around five times as many options as we did just a year ago. What material are you talking about? We don't offer sandpaper grips for anything other than 1911 front straps, so I'm really not sure what you're talking about there. We have dozens of different custom grip options, and several standard materials. If you like the Dots texture, we have it available under the custom grips option, and have a thinner version being added in the next day or two, which includes coverage for the rear of most models. The grips we stock as a standard option are the ones we sell tens of thousands of per year, which is why they are the standard option. Hardly something nobody wants. If something else becomes more popular it wold certainly become our "standard" option. If you can name a company with more material options, please let us know. I've never found one.

With medium sized hands putting any kind of grips on an already chunky double stack Glock feels really bad to me. Your hands don't look very big, very surprised you like putting grips on those double stacks. Now on a 43 or 43x, completely different story. Gotta have them to help thicken em up a bit.

Traction grips does have an ebay store, but they could be out for holiday and deactivated their store for now or took down their ebay store altogether. King glock does have some stock tho.
A thinner version is coming. It will be under 1mm thick, and flexible enough to include coverage on the back for most models. ETA on the material is around two weeks, but we'll have to run it through testing. It's made by the same manufacturer we get other products from, so I'm fairly certain it's going to work out well, but we'll still have to test it in the field. We usually pst something on our social media when new ones are being tested, and frequently give out a few to hear how they perform for other folks.
No, you're not the only one, I own a ton of Glocks and all but one has stock grips. The one that isn't stock is equipped with a set of Talon grips that were on the gun when I bought it.
@@SigmaSheepdog Thanks! I even gotten to the point where I don't mind the OEM sights and trigger, although I replaced both on several g_ns. Just picked up the g45 and it's fine the way it is. I just spend the extra dough on ammo and range time now.
@@nolagospeltracts8264 I'm with you again, I don't mind the triggers either. I don't dick with the triggers or any other internals, and with the exception of aftermarket sights on a few of the guns, all the parts on all of my guns are factory Glock. However, recently I did install a Glock FACTORY performance trigger in my G45. I like it, but it's not a must have.

Traction groups are some of the best for the price. Galloway precision has them also. Sometimes they are a little cheaper than the Traction Grips website or even eBay. I use the Traction Grips on all my handguns.
Handleit grips wouldnt stick to my glock 19 very well lasted 2 weeks in a hot humid environment. Im a mechanic so i assure you guys that it was installed exactly as instructed. It sucks because it was a great texture
I’ve used sand paper grips for a couple years now and I’ve never had an issue with them I edc with them everyday and I found they gimmie the BEST grip even if it’s hot out and I’m sweating my balls off🤷🏻♂️
My only gripe with them is that just after one time of taking it to the range (outside) they get FILTHYYYYY lol and it’s sandpaper so you can’t really clean it😅😆

As the late, great, James Yeager said. Grips, and stippling don’t make anyone a better shooter. Good shooter, with proper training can shoot with any type of grip or grip texture. Is all cosmetic. RIP James. Thanks for everything and all the training and knowledge.
That's a FUDD way of thinking lol. If someone can benefit from stick-on grips or stippling where it helps the person hold the gun better, it's going to help them shoot better and more confidently. Yeager wasn't the end-all-be-all book of knowledge when it comes to firearms.
What Glock offers is a highly customizable and reliable platform that can serve everybody once personally modified. I love how simplistic they are. We know that a shooter’s preference can vary. Some like heavy textured grips, some shooters have smaller hands, some shooters carry OWB, some shooters carry IWB. This basic platform of Glock allows each individual shooter/owner of it to make it theirs own.

Ebay removed all of our items, after selling gun grips there for 24+ years, under their gun grips category. That just happened last weekend. We appealed, since there were no genuine violations, but they could no care less. We're just one less seller offering gun accessories that just don't fit their agenda. They said we had too many items removed for "possible" weapons policy violations. In each case, the appeal was found in our favor, and the item was reinstated. They still counted the removals against our account as strikes, and banned us from selling the products we've had on the site since 1999. Welcome to the new world, where if the government can't ban something, the corporate world finds it their duty to destroy an industry on their behalf. We're finding Public Square to be a far better platform than Ebay anyway.
I've been testing a new thinner version of the Dots material and I noticed a huge difference in the amount of tugging the material caused with my shirt. I've been out in the heat wearing really thin fishing shirts most days, or thin loose fitting shirts on my mountain bike. The thinner stuff doesn't seem to cause any printing or tug on clothing. It's also thin enough to include coverage on the back. I'm off for the weekend, but I think they'll be added to the company site in the next few days.
Finally a Glock 23 review 😁 I’ve been waiting for this review! I’ll have to try those grips out, my hands tend to get sweaty for no reason while shooting at the range. Respect.
The owners are clowns lmao. I actually used to deal with them in the day. Just because they are vets (which I respect), the people who actually run it are clowns that only care about $$

They just kicked us off Ebay after 24 years of selling gun grips in their gun grips category. Too many reported "possible violations" triggered the removal of over 450 products. We appealed, but they are unresponsive. They simply do not care. They will not go out of their way to resolve anything relating to seller who offer firearms accessories.

Ebay kicked us off last weekend, after 24 years of selling gun grips in their own gun grips category. Election is approaching. I believe these platforms are trying to cost businesses money to cut into potential campaign contributions coming from those they feel would support conservative politicians. Several of our competitors have faced the same thing, and a few of our resellers have been de-platformed as well.
@@spnfirearms Not sure how many different items/grips they normally sell or had listed, but their eBay store is currently saying they are completely sold out.
