Ok, ive played ETU now through to our first academics roll. Couple of things i should point out first, im not a huge savage worlds fan and our ref ran a prelim adventure (more a mini campaign actually) set in a summer camp, which meant that when we got to uni our characters already had an inkling that the supernatural existed. Those things said, im loving the setting. The underlying needs of being a student add a level of haste to the adventures that isnt normally present. Because each day is another towards that midterm every wasted night counts, i dont think ive ever payed such close attention to what time it is in game. Having to decide wether your going to go deal with a ghost or study for your next exam turns out to actually be a thing. The day to day mundane activitys start to take priority Really early on and skills that you wouldnt normally consider look more and more attractive (My characters biggest skill is knowledge - Comics). The campaign just seeps atmosphere and even though youd normally have to cause me pain to choose to play savage worlds im genuinely looking forward to sessions.

Just got my books this morning. Smaller than I thought it was going to be, but very well put together. and the Screen I got was not as wide as normal with just the parts you need, make it easier to see figures and dice rolls on table. Good art on screen. Friday game night.

I've been toying with running a college game in a fantasy setting but maybe I'll focus on this instead since it's set up for it. 'College caper' movies like those popular in the '80s, or the very good series 'GREEK' from the 2010s, have always been one of my favorite genres, so I really want to do a college game at some point.

Thinking about purchasing a copy of this for my future game group.

I thinking of getting this, I had a chance to look at this. Just one question. Are the academics checks a trait roll, as in can you use Bennies if you roll bad, or if you mess up "oh-Well"?

But does it have a 'student protest generator'?

The university you teach at. What is the mascot? I understand what you mean, but there is work study and ROTC, they could make for interesting plot points. A student would have some access to certain depts and have keys.

Kurt Wiegel If you have not seen the Canadian TV series Todd And The Book Of Pure Evil, I highly recommend it. It takes place at a high school rather than a college, but has the same kind of campy kids vs monsters/demons vibe. It's on Netflix.

Two things; what is the mascot of your university? And I would disagree that there could not be a shooting of D12 for a freshman. There are people in the military at that age as snipers.
