Hello again, GDQ fans! First off, I would like to reiterate my shoutout to LaserTrapProductions, who makes great piano covers of video game music, including a handful of ones from this series. I don't think GDQ would allow me to link his channel here, but just searching for that username should give the correct result. This was a lot of fun to do, and I really enjoyed getting to show off Gradius on the GDQ stage! The Gradius/Salamander/Parodius games are among some of my favorite video games ever, but I don't get to show them off too often due to them not being great for speedrunning (or anything outside of 1CC attempts, for that matter), so I'm very honored to have had the chance to showcase some of this series' best! I'm very satisfied with the end result as well; some of these games are NOT marathon safe at all. If I had a proper way to capture my PSP, I would've submitted the Arcade/PSP port instead of the NES port. Unfortunately, that is not the case, so I settled for second best.
@@SuperViperT302 so running the arcade version in mame or something is not allowed? I guess it’s one of those things that’s technically illegal; like jaywalking on an open road with no cars in sight for miles.
