Walton vs Sileby CC - epic encounter at the home of cricket. What a game! Constant moaning, complaining and childish behaviour. But thats enough about Ed when he got out.... This was a GREAT game!
We call that Park cricket down here in Australia, I am 57 and still having a game in the seconds. Still enjoy playing but takes about 3 days to recover, If I saddle up this year it will be my 46th year for the same club and well over 500 games including juniors. Thats the good thing about cricket, that you can play at any age and find a grade level that suits you.
Great win there at the death Bison. Bit of needle in this match, it's the same wicket for both teams. Dan and Stewy sure live that late cut, poetry in motion. Best of luck for the weekend.
Proposal for local cricket; home team always bats last, then they can get on the beers once out/not having try and catch anything. Away team got to drive anyway so seems reasonable?
That was EPIC Bison. Great team win and capped off by a bowling master class by the Bison at the end. The ball was put on a handkerchief each time on their toes which meant they were going to have to advance to pick it up on the full to send it to the boundary. Not these batsmen. Other bowlers would have dropped at least 1 or 2 half trackers in and been easily lofted into a gap for 4...not the BISON. Definitely Game of the Decade mate. Bravo!
Great game Bison. Village cricket at its best. Have often wondered why you always bowl from the same end. Must be a good reason. Well done to all especially the Grin Ripper for his batting and bowling. No donkey this week then required 😂😂😂
@@thecricketingbison6418 just still wonder why you always bowl from the same end. When can we welcome Picky back on here. My thoughts were that he is getting his form back in the 2nds
@@davidwilliamgay4821 I've always bowled from the bottom end... Very rare I'm at the top end! Well noticed! It's agreed that when we build a stand that end... It can be named after me :)
End of season pitch with some rain and the out of form batter has a moan about the quality of the wicket, love to see him getting stumped! Well done lads!
It's a game of inches. Inches are all around us. One second to late or too early.... On this team we fight for that inch.... We claw with our fingernails for that inch... Cos we know... When we add up all those inches... That makes the difference between winning and losing! :)
@@thecricketingbison6418 Pacino at his very best! That was a real nail-biter of a game, you bowled really well, which I think it's fair to say is definitely not a given! Not a moon ball in sight...
I quote the Bison - "we need him out, quality bat this.......and off the edge!!" No matter what wicket their captain played on - he's still shit! Flat track bullies the lot of Sileby.
@@thecricketingbison6418 Knew it was coming up, I checked your fixtures after the first game. :D I will wait for the video, though, I'll ignore all the national newspapers and the news so I can watch the highlights "live". Stick it up 'em!
I like to think that he’s touring the midlands being hired for one off games for different clubs. The revenue gained will pay for a picket fence, bar, nets and 2000 seats ready for next season
The Laws of Cricket: 41.7.1 Any delivery, which passes or would have passed, without pitching, above waist height of the striker standing upright at the popping crease, is unfair. Whenever such a delivery is bowled, the umpire shall call and signal No ball.
@@dantompkins4327 It's pretty tight, you know. I've watched it a few times, and did what I could with the pause bottom. Ball looks about 6 inches above his waist at point of impact, but he's forward and, obviously, not standing upright. Close one, what do you think?
@@theprophet9429 As the actual batsman that got out my opinion is pretty biased! I'd say facing it real time I thought straight away it was an obvious no ball and then watching it back, I still think it's a no ball.
