Olenna poisoned the wine not the pie. If you look back at episode 2 you can see a series of events that go like this. Olenna talks to Sansa and pulls off part of the necklace. Next Tyrion and Joffrey have their cup bearer incident. The cup passes the hands of Sansa and Tyrion, Joffrey puts the cup down in front of Olenna as the pie comes in. When Tyrion is called to pick up the cup he has to walk over to Olenna. It was the wine not the pie.

Jon is a bastard, he's not important enough to be in the radar of the High Lords. But he is disposable if necessary; and they think he has info on where Bran is. Bran is the real heir to Winterfell. If the North finds out he is still alive, they might rise up against the Boltons. That's why his death is absolutely necessary to secure Bolton control over the North.

I would recommend remembering the words Ser Bariston had told her - sometimes it’s good to choose mercy above vengeance or revenge, justice can be a synonym for them if you lose sight of mercy. I love ser bariston, out of all characters he really gets morality and is wise

In case you missed it, the poison was in Sansa's necklace, and in the wedding episode you can see Olenna Tyrell adjusting Sansa's necklace and you can also see that it was Olenna who was sitting near Joffery's wine glass when Tyrion goes to grab it. The hints are there in the episodes you already watched, just gotta go back and watch it again for yourself to notice them.

@ 6:50- Inheritance is through the male line ( though there are options ) so it follows Robb > Bran> Rickon>Sansa>Arya>Benjen>Jon (if he is naturalized.) For Sansa or Arya to get chosen ALL their brothers need to be dead. Extra problem for Sansa right now she's a Lannister and the North won't follow a Lannister, Sansa needs an annulment or Tyrion needs to die and her virginity needs to be intact.

Olenna poisoned Jofferey's wine cup. I don't think she would be willing to take a chance of poisoning the pie because Margaery could have been killed as well.

If you listen closely, you hear the screams of the masters as she overlooks the city. It's very symbolic on what she is willing to do and WHO is isn't willing to listen to.

Regarding Danaerys' decision: you can choose to answer injustice with justice, but who decides what justice is ? ... It's not torture: it's torture to the death. In any case not a action which is thought through. Even the first time I saw this, I got an uneasy feeling about this.

You know even though Margaery will manipulate Tommen I think she will actually grow to like this one. Way more than Joffrey and Renly probably. Because since Tommen is such a sweet kind boy, than Margaery might grow to have genuine affection for him because of that. Plus when Tommen was telling Margaery about his issues he had with Joffrey I could tell that Margaery felt a little bad for the kid and his hardships. And I believe that these two will be great rulers together because Margaery may be calling the shots but I feel like she will be great counsel for Tommen and will probably tell him to do the right things because when she was betrothed to Joffrey, she was not just manipulating him to get on his good side, she was also teaching the psycho king how to be a better ruler as well because got him popular with the people and taught him to be loved and not feared as the king. Maybe all manipulative but those were things Joffrey should have been doing as king in the first place right? So I think Margaery and Tommen will be great rulers together and they Margaery might grow to genuinely like him later down the road maybe. I could be wrong.

Yep. If you rewatch episode 2 you can just barely see the exact moment where Olenna plucks the stone off Sansa's necklace while talking to her. The way she fiddled with the one Margaery was wearing in this episode was a direct reference to it.

Why would Lady Oleana want Marg to marry Joffrey; especially after Sansa talked to her ? Rewatch Oleanna and Sansa's conversation at the wedding.

At the wedding Olenna walks up to Sansa, brushes her hair and neck sympathetically while consoling her for her losses. Her last words to her are "War is war, but killing a man at a wedding? What sort of a monster would do such a thing." That is when she takes out the poison vial. In the book it's never fully clear who killed Joffrey. But in terms of the show this episode makes it clear Margaery was not involved. Margaery would not have given up the chance to become Queen, even if it meant marrying Joffrey. But Olenna had the long game in mind. Instead of ruling with Joffrey or killing him after consummation which would've pointed all the fingers at the new Queen, she decided to hedge her bet on the younger boy. Someone much easier to manipulate.

i think, if we would not have been so blinded by the trope of "bad ass powerful female character", we could have seen where Daenerys is going here already. She has no mercy for people who she sees as guilty. She has a taste for cruelty. She wasn't even interested to find out who was and who wasn't responsible for the cruel death of the slaves on the road. At best she stands not for mercy not for justice but vengeance. She only ever turns away from solving a problem with violence and cruelty on the influence of trusted advisors.

Tywin told LF before he left to go to the Vale and bring Lyssa Arryn back into the fold.

-Olenna poison joffrey using the wine. Theres only two moments she could have done. After removing stone from Sansa necklace or after Tyrion had pour the wine, and jofrey lay the goblet in front of Olenna. The most common opinion is the first one. After Olenna remove the poison Stone of Sansa Necklace, she passes in front of Jofrey and Margaery seats, at that point, they were distracted with music and talking to some guests. We can ear a watering sound, like something that sinks! Several times we can see Joffrey drinking. When Joffrey spilled the wine above Tyrion´s head. The goblet was alread refilled a few times. So there was no poison already. -Killing Joffrey was necessary, sooner or later Margaery would become a target of him. She could control him, but to some extend (the wedding is a perfect example of it... Margaery could only distract Joffrey for some minutes, till he invented a new way to torture Tyrion). We saw how Loras was impulsive and easily could go against Joffrey once he discover that his sister was been mistreat. That could started a war. So getting rid of him, was a better solution. Specially seen Tommen was a better king to be manipulated. Olenna knew that Lannisters still needs Tyrell gold. So possible they will accept this new alliance and the plan continues for Margaery becoming queen. Olenna share the story for Margaery to seduce Tommen, had sex and corner the Lannisters. But the young rose is not ruthless (we already saw this in the wedding. How Margaery was disgust about Joffrey behaver and how she was discribing how horrible must be to have your son dying in such agonizing way in your harms. Margaery showed some pitty of Cersei) and she just planted the seed about how exciting is to be married. (originally Margaery and Tommen were to have sex, but Natalie didnt felt comfortable to make such scene with a young actor, so she fough back and the producers changed to a kiss in the lips. Natalie fough back again, and she just came with the idea of kissing in forhead. Personally i think was a great choice)

Love the hypocrisy.... when she thinks Lord Baelish orchestrated Joffrey's death, she's all disgusted by it. When she hears Lady Tyrell did it, it's awesome. When a man who's had everything handed to him (Jaime) and pushes a little boy out of a window, it's completely forgotten. Any little slight by a self made man whose reached great heights based only on his intellect (Lord Baelish), however, needs to be set in stone.
