Many scenes would have been inappropriate with actors that young... Think of dany's wedding night for instance. So they were all aged up by at least two years. And as a result, they had to change the whole chronology... Because Robb and Jon had to the be born during the rebellion. So Robert ruled for 15 years in the books, but almost 18 in the show.
