This theme pretty much describe how littlefinger works, he starts making little smotth moves and when things are getting chaotic he begins his bigger moves from the shadows.
Mocking birds put "alien babies" their children in other nests and the mocking bird takes over the nest. It is thought they learned this from Cuckoo birds somewhere down the line. They also copy other bird's calls
“A man with no motive is a man no one suspects. Always keep your foes confused. If they don’t know who you are or what you want, they can’t know what you plan to do next.“ - Littlefinger
The realm. Do you know what the realm is? It's the thousand blades of Aegon's enemies, a story we agree to tell each other over and over, until we forget that it's a lie.
I remember when sitting in line I saw some people starting a dispute about who was first. I took this chance to climb a ladder and was served before any of them were, even though I was last in line.
It was the only scene that gave me real chills and got me hooked to game of thrones. They need to make more scences likes that. A thousand stories got told and million things said in under 4 minutes.
xD. I was talking more about the Stark family, and of course what he managed to do to Tyrion. Then again, he has killed 2 people I actually hate (Lysa Arryn and Joff).
@Paul Regan - The only one of the Starks he fucked over was Ned because Ned was being dumb and refusing to cooperate. Should Baelish have gone down with Ned or rather align with Cersei and survive once Ned refused his plan?
Ay Yo Firstly, Ned was being honorable and only stupid in the eyes of all the heartless traitors and backstabbers in King's Landing. He married Sansa to Ramsay and is now attempting to kill Jon Snow for his own selfish plan of being a king, which, like Cersei, he is completely unsuited to being. Let's not forget how he purposefully started the war between the Starks and Lannisters by lying to Cat (as a result, she and Robb were killed alongside Greatjon Umber and all the others at the Red Wedding), as well as framing Tyrion for attempted murder of Bran and the regicide of Joffrey.
Paul Regan Ned was being stupid in the eyes of anyone with a brain. Lets count his number of stupid decisions: 1-Tell Cersei he knows her secret and expects her to do nothing. 2-Decides to ignore Renly's advice to seize Joffrey and let him become king given that the majority of the kingdom doesn't like Stannis. 3-Decides to ignore LF's advice to let Joffrey succeed serve as the lord protector and make peace with the Lannisters. 4-Confront Cersei openly and declare her son has no right to the throne in a room full of Lannister men. And he did it all for what "honor"? Honor to allow Stannis to become king when his own "right" to the throne only exists because Ned himself fought a rebellion to overthrow the previous king and install Robert? Ned knew backing Stannis would mean war and hundreds of thousands would die and he did it anyways because he was stupid, plain and simple. LF also had nothing to do with the RW, that was Robb's own stupidity deciding to break his sacred vow to Walder Frey despite knowing how dangerous he was and was organized by Tywin/Walder/Roose. LF killed Joffrey and now Ramsay as revenge so far. Sansa AGREED to marry Ramsay. He literally told her he wouldn't force her to do anything in 5x3 and she DECIDES to go to winterfell to get married to Ramsay. Even after that he apologizes for the mistake in 6x05. There is also ZERO proof he is plotting to kill Jon and it actually makes far more sense for him to ally with Jon and use his forces to help him unseat the Lannisters. LF is also FAR more suited to being King than Jon is. Jon like Ned is a dumbass who does not understand politics and thats why he got himself killed already (and nearly a 2nd time by charging head first into cavalry if it wasn't for LF). LF on the other hand actually has drastically improved the Vale economy and brought employment to thousands in the middle class in his time as lord protector there (this is covered more in the books than the show). He is a smart man, rather than vindictive and if you notice all of his principles are actually founded on what we in the western world live with today: capitalistic republic: "There is no justice in the world unless we make it" "If you want to build a better world, you must first demolish the old one" He is trying to break down the unjust feudal world where birthright and honor and these stupid lordship principles create unnecessary strife and war and instead install a world where merit and finance drive the world - just like where his ancestors come from (the free city of Braavos) and what Britain is today. He is on the right side of history and the only character actually trying to destroy a world we KNOW is a bad one from our own history, but GRRM has succeeded in somehow turning most of the viewer base against him by playing to the stupidity of people like you who think dumbass Ned is a good ruler when he couldn't make a good decision to (literally) save his life.
honestly, littlefinger should have won the game of thrones. i still hope that the writers, as much as they fucked up season 7, get a someone reasonable line drawn between him and the faceless men, so maybe he lives. my ideal ending would be robert arryn sitting on the throne with littlefinger as hand of the king, ruling in his boy kings stead
i hate that the show started rewarding characters like Jon for acting like total idiots. Baelish and Varys, the two smartest characters, got fucked over by the screenwriters to leave room for Jon and Dany, because they're fan favourites I guess
i dont read book so i dont know how the end could be. but the show and the book seem have each diffrnt story, like daenerys is fire proof, but not so in the book. so im afraid, in the end, petyr baelish be on the throne and sansa as his queen. lol because current situation, everyone seem going to be ally, as cercei has stated want to meet. she let jaime and tyrion meet each other under her radar. then petyr always motivating sansa to ally with cercei. those schemer, petyr, and cercei, still need dany and jon snow, to kill night king, then when there's a chance, they gonna kill them. then in the end, we will continue to watch rotten drama just like in the previous seasons. plus sansa is now pregnant of ramsay's kid. his child might be a jerk just like joffrey. if dany and jon snow the ones who survive, their personalities are so plain, less drama. thats kind of story, is no good to attract more audience, people might get bored so quick... people need some rotten drama like cercei, petyr and their friends do
Well Id suggest ofc you read the books ^^ best ones ive ever read and you seem to be into thinking about some theorys or possible outcomes, so Id suggest you look for the channel Alt Shift X if you didnt already know it
