Hardhome is the first time you really get to see the Night King.. You saw him once in s4 changing Craster's baby to a white. But this is his first real appearance.
The actor playing him -- Richard Brake -- also played the imperial officer in The Mandalorian (Season 2, Chapter 15 - "The Believer"), the one Mayfeld shot in the chest when they infiltrated the imperial base in order for Din to find Grogu's location, so he can save him!
Absolutely love this episode. Tyrion and Dany, Jon and Tormund, and the Night King. This is such an exciting episode! Sansa and Reek having their moment was so important. Easily one of the best episodes of this whole series. Enjoyed y’alls reactions!
We all had that reaction when you realized that Valerian steel can counter the white walkers as well...The steel was said to have been imbued with magical powers but maybe it was created for just this purpose.
Omfg I haven’t jumped and got excited to a reaction channel in over a 2 years minimum… when Jon killed the white y’all went from chill & nonchalant to lit 🙌🏾🙌🏾
Not sure who knows this or cares, but the woman Wildling we love in this episode who gets killed by the children, is the same actress who plays the lead female singer of Das Sound Machine in Pitch Perfect 2. Lol
best reaction to Jon slaying that White General!!!!! Thats when we all knew Jon was Special! PS Hardhome battle scene alone took 5 and half months to shoot!!!!!
Kudos for getting it. Correct. That is the point of Game of Thrones. (And what makes it brilliant story telling........at least the part that George did 😏). None of the fighting for the throne actually matters. This is why the first thing you see in season one is about the white walkers. THEY are the actual threat. It doesn't matter who has control of the iron throne or houses or lands or anything that happens after that. And I'm sorry to say, but the fact that the kingdoms of Westeros are unprepared can be argued to be Ned's fault. He did not take the warning from that dude that ran seriously and just executed him. He was allowed to escape to carry the message that they White Walkers and the army of the dead were real and back. He shrugged off the warning and the message stopped right there. If he had taken that threat seriously and verified and brought that to Robert, think about how differently this entire show would be when they all would have a common cause to fight for. It was the very thing that would have united a divided kingdom.
