What a measured, sensible, reserved collection. We can tell 100% this dude almost never overpaid and patiently assembled this tasteful collection. Props 🤙🏽
Thanks man, much appreciated. A lot of the stuff I have is older and either from the time the games came out or shortly after in the next generation. I was a little behind on the Neo Geo stuff having started in ‘08. Thanks for the kind words.
Hey Joe. Thanks for sharing. Would love to see a video on the Typex3, which I recently just got and also a video on the Naomi board with Dimm you showed. Thanks and great content as always.
Going to definitely talk a little about the TTX3 here in the future. I might be able to pair it with something pretty spectacular so I’m holding out to see if that happens. The Naomi I definitely will cover in the next month or so.
Thanks for sharing your game room and studio. I really enjoyed seeing it as is. Sorry to hear you got sick is never fun. Can't wait to see some of this stuff become future projects.
Oh yeah! I always green screen. The cabs and footage in the background is always my own, but it’s so much easier to get those shots separately and combine them.
Great stuff as always. Collecting is a slippery slope for sure!! I’m trying to be extremely strict with myself about what I pick up, but I always see something I else that I simply must have 🙄 Congrats on your collection/setup, always fun to see how other people do it.
Kind of like clothes, I try to look at things I haven’t used in a while and then get rid of it if I can. It’s harder with nostalgic stuff but for consoles and games beginning in the disc era I’m not too discerning.
I bursted out laughing when I saw the gamer coffee mug - my mom is a sweet lady, but she constantly buys me "gamer" related items out of the goodness of her heart, and I just can't bring myself to tell her they're laughably awful 😅
A week or two ago the owner of TO made a controversial political comment directed towards Krikzz who was fleeing the Ukraine at the time. It has since been backtracked but it wasn't well received by the community and there was a lot of backlash considering someone was escaping their home country due to violence.
I almost always have the shades pulled in that room. I'm also rarely in that room during the daytime so its more out of happenstance I suppose. You're right though, the sunlight is a killer.
Hey you did the game room Vid in the end!! 😎 Awesome room and a very cool collection of nicely assembled stuff…Did you replace your N64 though? I seem to remember from a video from way back that you had a ‘funtastic’ smoke grey ultra hdmi N64? Lol the closet in your game room is probably as big as my actual game room 😅
Now this will be a real treat to see Scarlet. i just came in with a Pizza Hut Dinner Box deal and need to see a fun video to enjoy it bro. 8^) Anthony..
Hah, I think that came from a friend who had a box of stuff he was taking to goodwill. I saw it and pulled it out. You’re right, may need to look for a Sonic 3 cart sometime.
Scarlet, do yourself a favor and contact Basement Systems. I had my house done 15 years ago and my basement is dry as a bone and can never flood. It's great to have another 1000 sq feet of living space and my game room is great because it's no different than any other room. 35% ambient humidity in a basement is awesome! You have such a great collection it's worth the 8k to do it. Keep up the great work. Your friend Gorilla aka Vintage Dude 😁
I really need to get the basement done. Period. Trying to time construction around lumber prices has been insane. I don’t know how much longer I’m going to have to wait but every time it seems to dip and I get positioned it spikes right back up. Some day (year). Lol.
Got lucky with the extra bedroom and indulged a little. I do enjoy it a lot but find myself fussing with what is actually on display often. No one sees this but me either, lol.
From one video game collector to another. Love you video game collection! I have a question for you. bc I need something to display my video games where did you get those book shelving?
Thanks man. The Sauder Media shelves are from Amazon and sometimes drop as low as $40. They’re nice because they don’t take up more space than is needed but they’re also not anything super high end.
I was so jealous of the Genesis up until that point. So relieved when NHLPA ‘93 hit the SNES. Ironically I then got NHL ‘94 on Sega CD the next year when I grabbed a Genesis relatively cheap.
good idea on the igs pgm i've been doin the same shit on mvs boards i didn't know about the cave titles dodonpachi is available on cart as well- i might have to hoard a bit more arcade shit now lol that neogeo mvs shelf is probably one of the only ones in the world i hope you never sell
The Cave shooters came as single boards but have since been dumped and made into those cart versions by a few talented people. GC8Tech on Twitter does them now too.
Great collection dude. It's a very personal collection as opposed say some large get whatever you can and throw it on a shelf so I can show it off on YT or IG like a lot of these goofs do anymore.
With the exception of Neo Geo all of the retro physical stuff has some type of meaning or it was purged. Winding down to MiSTer and flash carts as my libraries now. That’s what I play 90% of the time if I’m honest.
@@ScarletSprites I'm actually in the same boat. I have flash carts/odes and mister for all my stuff and have a good collection of games. I'm gunna start purging the games bc the prices are high now. Might as well make a buck or 2 while I can
No, I escaped disaster. I had the water shut off in less than a minute. Still made a mess but the water didn’t get very high at all and was concentrated in a small area.
It has to do with Terra Onion making a borderline at best/insensitive remark towards competitor Krikzz when he had to flee the Ukraine during the Russian invasion.
Great video, as always. Where did you get the acrylic and standoffs for your arcade boards? Looking to do the same for protection as I swap them in and out of my candy cab.
I got lucky with the extra bedroom here. This house was sitting on the market for almost 9 months when we bought it. The extra rooms upstairs and the walkout basement were huge selling points for me. The downside? Every room in the entire house needed paint and carpet.
