There’s more places to go, people to talk to, missions to engage with than in any other Bethesda game so the empty planet complaint is weird to me after playing 150 hrs of Starfield and spending less than 10 hrs on those empty planets. It’s like if someone complained that there was nothing to do in the middle of a pond in the Witcher 3. If you don’t like doing nothing, then do something. Valid complaints about the quality of dialogue and characters etc though

The thing with Starfield is that events happen to the player. While in other games the player makes the events happen. To me that comes down to player preference.

Starfield is fantastic & has as much or more content than their other games, but it's too hidden. They need to work on discoverability with the map and density in populated systems. Honestly it's the ultimate show not tell situation. Show people the game isn't boring while they're playing it, don't Tell them after that they should've been having more fun.

Starfield has a design problem is not so much the engine look at the mods people make to work with the engine. It was either internal problems or they don’t know what they’re doing anymore. It’s a step down from fallout 4. It’s a disconnect world, bad ai, bad procedural generation, bad pacing, and so much more. Most buildings in the cities are one room. The skyscrapers have one floor you can go to with one room on that floor. The inns in Skyrim were bigger. The generated locations have the same loot and furniture in the exact location. If they mess up elder scrolls they’re done and Todd’s career if he leaves after elder scrolls will make his legacy a bad one.

Bethesda used to be the RPG leader, now they are not even among the top 5 RPG studios, and that's fine. They just need to invest on gettting some new talent and tech onboard and start competing with the best out there, instead of trying to answer online reviews XD. If they start right now they may be able to get on the spotlight again after 5 years or so, and there's no reason they should not be able to do it considering they now have the backing of MS infinite pockets.

Bethesda just needs time to deliver exciting gameplay elements to Starfield, I'm confident Starfield will become a fun game to play, just give Bethesda 12 to 24 months and the game will become an excellent investment.

Starfield was a let down. Full stop. They’re using core game design that has not changed all that much since Oblivion. They may be done as far as what they are capable of doing now.

Whereas Starfield has dropped out of the top 50 and its rating has now dropped below 66% positive. Ouch
